My dear girl, I don't need to b an expert, I only need to READ what respected researchers have concluded. At age 70 I presume u must b generations younger, hence a word of caution. Our education system discourages critical thinking. So a suave speaker can dazzle audiences who either r not interested in reading widely to train d mind or have never questioned authority. I don't remember what I had tweeted, but it could b about Dr Swamy's views on religion, culture and history. He is an economist and I wouldn't dare question him on his subject. But when it comes to d social sciences--history, sociology, anthropology--& literature, d arts, culture, I may not accept his views. Especially if they r not backed by research-based evidence. If u want I could explain further. As a retired teacher I am quite willing to do dat. If u r really interested to know.

However, they can change their mind any moment without explanation. A government should never b allowed to interfere, unless during emergencies or extenuating circumstances; but they must have a solid plan, and a deadline to leave. Thank you for a great interview, Shoma Chaudhury. I am extremely disappointed that the India I have come to know and love has become so brutal and intolerant. The hateful comments below reflect much of that change of tone. I love listening to Dr Swamy. He is a great intellectual and wonderful speaker. He should have been BJP's Finance Minister, or maybe India's Prime Minister.

It is tragic Hindus can not build a place of worship in Ayodhya where once a temple existed whereas in Mecca one can not even openly pray if you are a Hindu. Hindus will soon be a minority in India given the Muslim demographics. Given this, Muslims should volunteer not to build temples in Varanasi, Ayodhya & Bodh Gaya-Hindu-Buddhist Holy places-similar to Mecca

In Mecca nothing is in dispute. Whereas, in Ayodhya there is a dispute of land, let the court decide. If it proves that there was a temple. And Lord Ram was born there then it’s absolutely fine.

Having said that fact, I'd like to point out his hypocrisy at times, this time, vis-à-vis Sabarinala issue. He wanted the anchor to be put in a shakha meant for women, &when she asked why not with men, he dodged the question with his witty remark ( appreciate that though).
Sabarimala issue by far has been misinterpreted and misrepresented by the elite fashions our media, and sadly by some intellectuals too, including the SC. What most of us don't understand is..there is no gender discrimination at all, rather it's not exclusively meant for women having reproductive capability & the reason is because the deity (who also enjoys the fundamental right under Indian law) is a Nash toga brahmacharya, which prescribes not to be in proximity with that of OPPOSITE GENDER who has a reproductive capability. Yes, opposite gender, so the term in itself is not misogynistic, although semi-literates want that to be framed in that fashion.. prolly to suit their agendas.

I am an overseas citizen of Indian origin. I have been following Dr Swamy' speeches on many occasions. I think young and old Indian citizens should run a crusade to make this brilliant Dr Swamy to be the next Prime Minister of India, or at least the Finance Minister.

To be direct, a Hindu India would have solved a lot of such mindset like this lady. Even pak would have not have attacked India as happening today, because it would have been an attacked on Hindus rather then people of a democratic foreign system which indians are still sorting out for an applicable solution for india. India chose democracy and secularism, was a big mistake, when religious doctrine such as Muslims and Christians are to convert and invade india. This is happening in kerala silently.
