I just sold my 99 Expedition. I'm sad to see it go, after seven years of ownership and 215k mile trouble free miles (aside from a new alternator at 165k) I loved it. That's amazing this one has only 95,000 miles. It's practically new!
it's amazing seeing this car. i grew up with the exact same car model, but it's faded red and has plastic bumpers instead of metal. it's a 1999 ford, so geez it's older than me. i used to get driven to school everyday in it, and now I'm the one driving it. seeing the same car so spotless, so not dirty from years of of little children, is amazing. i love my the modern Honda fit my family uses, it's a good car, but my Ford expedition is my home. I've moved houses to a different city, went to different schools, but that car has been with us through all of it, outdated casette player and all. it's always funny seeing people having trouble with opening the door or rolling the windows, or asking how to connect Bluetooth to the radio. it's such a nice car. despite being so faded on the outside and stained on the inside. i love driving it and have made my best memories on trips with my friends using that red Ford expedition
I remember I had to take my drivers test with this big boy... now that I think about it idk how I was able to parallel park with this beast haha. Love the our fans 98 expy. It's been with the family for 20 years
My dad used to have a 2000 Expedition XLT in black. We had it for about 6 years, and I loved it to death. Sadly, my dad sold it. I was sad, because for 6 years, it had grown on me, and to me, it was a part of my family.
Eddie Bauer is a certain leather seat package as in differing leather with eddie bauer stitched in the seats. MY xlt has rear Radio controls and rear ac/heat controls. also third row seating.
@samsalam69 it's an expedition. it's not made for speed, it's made for towing and off roading. and besides, if u get it to 100+ the gas is gunna get guzzled
+matt Roostai when my dad was fixing something were the gas was from, he forgot to do something, then the gas touch the manifold or exaust and caught on fire. it was an accidient
U guys take a power washer to the engine? Or what? Cuz i get scared to do that wen detailing my truck. I usually leave the engine as is and just clean the outer covers and such.
I can hear the lifter tic at start up.Explorers are the worst especially Gen 1 (1991-1994).I own a 1994 Exp from Florida with perfect body and we`ve restored the mechanics almost totally.Mine gets great gas mileage but Id like to get an Expedition too.Just not sure with the nasty gas prices now.
I have a 98 xlt nd the only difference from a 98 eddie bauer is the leather, i was thinking that the EB would of had more options but found out that the options are very limited, its more just name thing, like would you want a walmart pair of shoes or some nikes etc, and in the 97 and 98's the 4.6 is the better engine, in 99 the 5.4 became the better one
i paid 3000 for a 2001 expedition watch?v=M3EIX0v0Lck and i love this car more than all the cars trucks ive ever had.i got this one in excellent condition from a friend.
My dads babied his old 95 regal under coated each year never pushed hard all top of the line parts. But when we sold it in the summer the new owners son pounds the piss out of it. I dont want it to go down like that. :/ But we have a new car, 00 lesabre.
There should be a switch on the dash with the options: "4 Lo, 4 Hi and 2WD Hi". You can switch to "4Hi" at anytime. To put in "4Lo" the transmission has to be in park.
My entire childhood inside that car and my first car I ever had to use learning to drive for the first time
AKA Frank the Tank, AKA Voyager ll, AKA the Ericsson....purchasing a 2020
Ngl this car was good but It’s really big wide and heavy So not the greatest option. lol
I'm 16 years old and shopping for a car. These videos make it a piece of cake!

@@FazeNathan-ei7ng I think he’s 27 now

Dodge Durango my dad had won to it was white with a bug thing on it
Just got my 99 XLT... It's big, loud, thirsty, and on the wrong side of 150k... but I love it anyway
Expeditions are nice vehicles! A g/f's mom had an 03! Great vid as always!
1:54 funny sound of the glass
i like how u keep your engines clean
The best part about the car is the Cup holders :) Much easier to get than getting it below...
Nice! It reminds me of my old lincoln navigator. The interior is basically the same
That’s because they are practically the same thing anyhow.
That's because Lincoln is a luxury branch of Ford, so it's likely going to be the same.
I love your videos!!!
i like this kyle dude, his videos are the shit
At 4:55 he starts it up
Go,,
Thank you

To bad you don’t find these in that kind of condition anymore
These older explorers and expeditions are mostly found in trailer areas now lol
@@whyme3772only bums drive them nowadays
beautiful!!
did you do that lincoln nav?
I've noticed that all Ford trucks and big SUVs have a high idle when you start them. Which one do you like better?
Really nice
I had one and it caught on fire.
What happened?
+matt Roostai when my dad was fixing something were the gas was from, he forgot to do something, then the gas touch the manifold or exaust and caught on fire. it was an accidient

That engine "Knock" When he revs is it probably just a worn lifter. Typical for these old Tritons.
That One Ford Guy xddddxdxde

Are the rims factory from 1999 ?
how do you work the 4wd? put it into 4wd?
+keepitrealabc just put the truck in neutral select 4wd wait for the transmission to make the shift and have fun
Precio de venta
Has that classic ford tick when you hit the gas.

@MrFlyJ i seen a 98 ford expedition on crigslist for 1500$ then i seen a 99 ford expedition for 950

Yours must be In kilometers
my dad bought it, now it is left to his daughters. we don't know how to put it in 4wd and are freaked out about it.

keepitrealabc there should be a switch. near the radio that says 2WD 4WD high or low
When you say creampuff, it makes me think of a girly car. LOL. I don't have a girly car though.

Anyone else here for asmr?
But Mom want the 1999 Ford expedition!!!!!!!😡
just like my car, its a 1999 :D
yah 5.7 (350) is chevy
5.7 is Chrysler (hemi)
5.3 is chevy (350)
Ford is 4.6 and 5.4

Just a worn lifter probably. These engines are known for that.
I think the.xlt is better than eddie bauer,bc it has,a better gas, mileag and,its more interesting
