I've been following your channel for a while now but, not since before this video was posted. I wish I would have seen this video before I installed a regulator months ago. I had the problem you mentioned about the air cylinder not being smooth and causing a leak. It took me quite a while to figure out the problem and even tried to install a larger o ring. Once I figured it out, it solved the problem and works great. It was worth the effort and I love the consistent accuracy. Now that I've done one, I'm not quite as worried to try it again.

Hi Matt - As of 6th October 2015 - Lane 'Lancet' regulators are fitted in Air Guns in 100 Countries :-)

One more thing I just bought a hw100kt laminate adjustable such a different rifle to the full length, not over weighted and so accurate it has a regulator fitted as standard. So now I have my AA S200 regged in .22 and my hw100 kt in .177 so happy with both. Love the videos matt

Very interesting video Matt I hope you and whole crew are healthy and well.I have just fitted a Lane Mk 9 Lancet into my Air Arms S200 in .22 cal .It has transformed the gun even on UK legal limits. From a 190 bar charge I'm getting 80+ shots at 11.6ftlb and still finding 100 + bar in the air resovoir.Gun is quiet and consistent now the Reg was set at 100 bar.Rob is a brilliant guy to deal with and very knowledgeable.Iv had the barrel threaded to 1/2"unf by Phil Crampton at Rat Works and fitted a SAK moderator.Really pleased with my little vermin basher now.Stay safe all the best.Regards Tony

I had a Lane reg fitted after your video. my 26 year old Titan MC010, stepped up to the big league after it. Well described and informative, cheers for your time.

I agree, regulators ought to come standard on guns (on the majority, they don`t).
5-10 years ago, no regulator from factory may have been ok, but I feel that today they (manufacturers) ought to step up their game.
Thanks a lot for yet another informative and spot-on video, I`ve learned a lot :)

perfectly executed guide matt, couldn't fault it at all! i installed a lane reg in my Webley fx2000 .22, a little bit of tuning to get every ounce of air out of my rig, I've never looked back. Can't wait to see the next videos for this reg series!! highly recommended bit of kit especially for hunting or competition shooting. atb!

Great video that goes into a lot of detail, I am surprised you didn't remove the charging cap & clean out the dust particles left by your green polishing pad. Thanks for posting.

I have my S510 regulated for more than a year now. It tightens up the groupings this rifle produces significantly, especially when shooting past 50 meters. One downside: shot count goes down because you lower the capacity of the aircylinder.
Don't forget to clean and oil the outside of the aircylinder after handling it so intensively to prevent rust.

Hi Matt,Thank you very much for your videos. I am curious why you chose a Lane regulator over an Altaros where you don't have to cut or drill? With the regulator in place will you still be able to drop the power to 12 ft-lbs for indoor shooting etc?

Thats some realy invasive stuff rigth here.
In my evanix it was like ...unscrew the reservoir ... clean the reservoir... stick regulator int othe tub from the correct side, and add the spacer after it... screw it back on ... leave 0.5mm gap to let the bleedoff pressure out. Done. And it actually works. 15+- fps difference betweem shots.

the pellet velocity is determined by the volume of air in the regulatory not the new spring or the old one.

If you drill the breather hole at the bottom of the barrel, the O-ring lubricant will leak out. That is why it is drilled at the top.

    Hi
Thank you for the video and it was useful as always.
I checked Robert's pages, I could not conclude at the end whether Extra Long stand off spacer is better or short one.
Can you tell me your opinion please?

Put one of these in my s200 never looked back. I get only a 4fps difference over 70 shots at 11.8ftlbs. Just remember how small the air cylinder is on a s200.

I think unless you're shooting in some competition , this is one of those time that "if it's not broke, don't try to fix it " ...

    • @edgarlombera7066
      @edgarlombera7066 9 лет назад +4

True, but the only problem I see is if you're hunting past 50yd is that 30-40 fps spread will make a difference on Impact. Still I wouldn't recommend the average person to try this themselves or you'll ruin your gun permanently...

DAMN DUDE...YOUR SO YOUNG IN THIS VIDEO AND TO THINK YOU AND NICHOLE ARE GETTING/IF NOT MARRIED BY NOW??? WOW HOW TIME FLIES MY FRIEND. GOD BLESS YOU BOTH. I WANT TO PUT A REGULATOR IN MY DIANA BANDIT PCP PISTOL AND IN DOING SO I THINK MY FILL PRESSURE SHOULD BE SAFELY INCREASED BY 50 -100 BAR EXTENDING NOT ONLY MY SHOT COUNT BUT USABILITY OF THIS PISTOL IN THE FIELD FOR PEST CONTROL. WITH THE REGULATOR I WILL AVOID VALVE LOCK BECAUSE THE WORKING PRESSURE WILL BE THE SAME AS UNREGULATED...AM I WRONG? I HOPE AND PRAY YOU GOT THIS RIGHT MY FRIEND.

Thanks Matt! Whether you plan to install a regulator or have purchased your guns equipped from the manufacturer, I would highly recommend for all interested, to check out Robert's channel @ RUclips "Airgun Regulators" as it is chuck full of info for those considering, purchasing or who have regulated guns. He covers how they work, maintenance, tuning, lubrication and the different types. There is no question that a regulated gun has huge advantages over unregulated, for velocity consistency, shots per fill, improved accuracy and ease of tuning. I would ask you to direct folks to his channel, in you next clip, as most will not see my comment.

Can somebody please advise what is power output desired to ordering this regulator ( ft-ibs ) as my target is around 920-940fps@18grain or 960-980 fps@16grain with full power knob adjuster? i saw that in pyramid airgun, the spec is 29 ft-ibs but not sure if i need to order with the same spec as original. Btw im new in air gun and appreciated if can help me. thanks..

True. I've done the same modification on mine using a milling machine for the hole and a lathe for the fire pot cut like in the video but I must say I was really nervous when doing it but I must say that it's perfectly doable with a hand drill (with care) and a hacksaw. i've also changed the indexer for the new model, now this rifle just became perfect for me. More enjoyable to shoot as an FX Royale/boss or wildcat in comparison. Build quality and cocking mecanism are perfectly fluid.
