    -resurgence = comback (n)
note: resurgence have the same meaning with comback but it is more formal
-archaic (adj) use to describe something very old

Hello to both of you.....The more I learn English, the more the amount of similar words the French share with the English , blows my mind. Today, resurgence and archaïc. Sometimes, a word miss me to make a sentence, then, I try, by chance, to inser the equivalent French word and it works almost every time 🙂 I think the "chance" has nothing to do with this phenomenon ( another common word ) . When I started to learning English, I was thinking I would travel in a foreigner country. I was really wrong .

To my ear, tuned finely to English having lived here all my 60-odd years, this woman has a slightly strange accent. It's a little but foreign, almost as if she has not lived in the UK all her life. Which goes to show that you should never be embarrassed about you accent, even if it isn't the same as an English person's.
