I heard somewhere that as many times as you access something in a day, is how many times you should declutter it in a year. So if you reach into the pantry 3 times a day, then it would need a declutter/reorganization 3 times a year.
I have the same shelves and feel exactly the same as you-as in maybe I will let the next person deal with this! I use old sheet pans on the shelves to combat the gaps in the shelves. Plus they give me a little more real estate if I face the pan front to back as opposed side to side. My pantry is a bit smaller than yours and I don’t have the door to put the extra door space hanger-so it is awesome you have that. I feel like once I had the space of a pantry, everything just gets put there and out of sight! So I too find myself humming through mine cleaning it out often. I find for some of my friends who are affectionately called ‘pack rats’ they have a much more difficult time keeping it organized and functional. I usually throw WAY more out than put in mine. I gotta work on that I suppose. Thanks for sharing real life….😊
I'm playing catchup with your videos, so busy lately and intentionally reducing my screen time so I binge videos at the weekend to relax!! Same with the hand drying 😂 I didn’t think your pantry was that bad but a good clean up always feels good.
We had shelves like that for years and I hated them as well. My husband didn’t understand why I wanted something else until we replaced them 😂 then he was like ‘oh, I get it now’ We decided to stay long term and did a reno about 5 years ago. Put adjustable pantry organizer with solid shelves, a secondary closet became half shelves for overflow/cleaning supplies/paper products and then the other side open for the vacuum, step stool and things like broom and mop supplies. I call it my cleaning closet. The things that don’t usually have a home live there. I love those two reworked storage areas now
I tried to declutter the top of my fridge today.......i am 70. It is sadly true that women shrink as they age 😢. I now have to buy a step stool 😮.

Yours looks better than mine. I guess I need to do that this week. Been a while sense I did it. I want to put wood shelves in mine and paint them white. I hate the metal racks. Not going to do that but it needs cleaned this week.
My pantry ends up the same way. I end up pulling everything out too once in a while. No child here, but the cat loves to go in to hide at the bottom. I made a check list of things I wanted to use up.
