Actually people who went in without VEP 1st time after 1st Oct, didnt get a reminder. Got a harsh WARNING WITH THREAT. Threat of fine and jail. What an unplesant encounter.
The implementation of the Vehicle Entry Permit (VEP) for Singaporean cars entering Malaysia has caused a significant drop in traffic across the causeway. This has led to concerns for businesses on both sides of the border. Many Singaporeans are finding the VEP registration process to be complicated and frustrating, with some encountering issues such as previous registrations and a lack of response from Malaysian authorities. While the Malaysian government is working to address these issues, the situation highlights the challenges of implementing new systems and the differing levels of efficiency between countries. Despite the current difficulties, there is hope that the VEP process will eventually be streamlined, allowing for smoother travel between Singapore and Malaysia.
Why they made the process so tedious and frustrating for vehicle owners applying for the vep currently? The whole process was simple and fast in 2019 when I applied for the vep and just had to turn up at the Angsana Mall open air carpark on the appointment date. Got my vep tag installed and activated on the spot and all for on Rm 10/- , no installation fees charged vs now TCSens charges almost Rm 40/- for the same process!!!
