Pichi-pichi is made from cassava flour. Sapin-sapin is from ground rice/ maja blanca is made from two versions like the yellow ones is corn and if its white, its made from cassava flour & coconut milk. Cuchinta is from brown sugar & cassava flour.

11:18 thats why i think it’s best if you taste the food one of each or a portion of each. Don’t eat everything right away. if you eat everything immediately before moving to the next type of food, you’re gonna get full quickly. And when you’re full, you can’t appreciate the last foods you ate. you’re doing a disservice to the last foods you eat.
I very much agree. downing the whole huge banana turon at the beginning would already make them feel near full. and then they ate everything entirely along the way. sapin-sapin and pichi-pichi are very filling. i kinda felt bad for them forcing themselves eating the last foods because the guy on the left kept saying he’s full. can’t do a proper taste test when you’re already full.
@@cyronmastriano7089 the guy with the beanie/headband also kept sipping big gulps of his sago. i know sago is delicious, but drinking liquids often will make you feel full fast. sip liquids sparingly at least until you’ve tasted each type of dessert. as a viewer, it was hard watching the headband guy eating more food when he’s already full. the guy on the right seems to have at least 2 stomachs. good for him!
@@LaterTofuEats yes pls dont consume every food at the start. it’s uncomfortable seeing you guys struggle toward the end when there are more food to taste.

Yeah!! The salted egg adds the perfect balance to the sweetness of the moon cake and really goes well together 🙌🏻 love desserts in general so the Kakanins really hit the spot!
Pichi-pichi (pitsi-pitsi) is made from cassava flour. Kutsinta is my fave, without the coconut (niyog) meat. Always waiting for the vendor every morning. 😍 Bibingka is a must Christmas season food along with "puto bung-bong". They would start selling those when "ber month" starts, oooh there's no "puto bung-bong" in there though. Now I'm hungry. 😅
Honestly it’s so hard to pick a favourite, we really liked all of them. Everytime we do a taste test video we struggle to decide 😆 thank so much for watching our video and appreciate your support!
@@LaterTofuEats second the rec for puto bumbong if you can find it. It's made with black/purple rice so some think it's ube-based but it isn't. perfect Christmas snack when freshly-made and piping hot.
Filipino desserts can be broadly classified into two, the native kakanin desserts and the hispano-filipino desserts. The desserts you've featured are mostly native, called kakanin, a group of desserts made with rice flour or glutinous rice. I gotta say, I prefer the hispano-filipino one since most of my favorites are under this category such as flan, sylvañas, brazo de Mercedes, etc. You guys must give them a try, including Filipino pastries.
Ohhh that’s very interesting! We will definitely look into the hispano-Filipino side of desserts next time ✌🏻 those ones look and sound very delicious 🤤 thanks so much for letting us know 🙏🏻

I love watching you guys enjoy Filipino food. I love how you don’t waste any food as well. When you get a chance try biko, brazo de Mercedes and mango float super yummy.
I'm not much of a kakanin eater, probably among the selection that you got there, puto is what I would go for (having it with cheese is probably the best option) and pichy pichy (also taste a lot better with cheese), the rest I would pass. But pretty much these are heavy selection of merienda (afternoon snacks). Buco pandan goes well with shredded Buco in it also, we usually eat that after our meal (this is considered as a salad or dessert for some). Thank you for diving in our culture through food. Means a lot to us really since most, doesn't seem to know much about Philippines besides Adobo and Sisig but really, there's more to it than that. Excited for the next video guys ❤️❤️

Those rice cakes are also traditionally paired with barako coffee (filipino coffee), tea, or sikwate (hot chocolate mixed with spices, cinnamon, vanilla, milk, and palm sugar). Barako coffee neutralizes the sweetness of the rice cake while tea is used as palate cleanser. Out of the three, sikwate is commonly used for rice cake dipping aside for drinking; to add more flavor. Hope you can taste them too as well. 😊
U guys r so cute! The gooey w/orange, white & purple are Sapin Sapin=steamed Glutinous rice w/coconut cream, the yellow colored are the Maha Blanca, next round white is Pitchi Pitchi made of Cassava & coconut cream w shreds of coconut outside, orange round are Kutsinta-steamed glutinous rice w/sugar & Lye….👍
These desserts remind me of when I was a kid and my mom would buy these for merienda (afternoon snacks). Puto usually has either cheese or salted egg on top. Personally, I think kutsinta is very plain on its own. It's usually eaten with coconut and yema. Buko pandan is basically like fruit salad, only its buko (coconut) and pandan jelly. Pandan has this vanilla flavor to it and I think it's what makes it really good. I'm glad you like sago't gulaman. Just thinking about ot makes me thirsty lol it's just so refreshing!
Haha aw that’s nice, always good to go down memory lane 😊 the buko pandan was very delicious and really stood out to us due to the green colour 🤤 don’t even start on the sago’t gulaman!! It’s SO good 😆

Hope you enjoyed! Tho most of them can make you feel full on its own. but you held up! My best pick among these was the Turon and Sago Gulaman for drink - can give you energy for the afternoon
I'm surprised that you could find these delicacies where you are! In the Philippines these are really cheap snacks that are usually sold in the streets. I personally love pichi-pichi (which is made of cassava). Bibingka is another personal favorite, which is a typical Christmas-time snack, usually after attending evening Christmas masses, so they are popular where churches are located.
We live in a city with a large Filipino community so we are lucky to have a bunch of places to get these yummies from 😊 pichi pichi and bibingka are both really good 🤤 personally I also like the buko pandan and sago’t gulaman 😁 thanks for watching!!
You guys rocked it! You really ate almost all of them in one sitting 😁 I can just imagine how full you've been 😁 The kutchinta is better with caramel sauce on top, the puto with cheese (melted). Buko pandan is my favorite, but I also love all of them 😊 Cheers guys! Can't wait again for the next! ❤❤❤
Thanks so much!! Yeah we got SUPER full after and had to go for a walk 😆 honestly can’t decide which is our fav but I think we are leaning towards the sago’t gulaman 😁 such a delicious drink 😝 but I agree, everything was yummy!
You guys make me hungry for these! lol. Great reaction btw. Every region has something different that they add on to these such as the "egg or cheese" on the puto. I've had those too, but I've always had it plain and never dipped it in Dinuguan. I have warmed it the microwave and put butter on top. To each their own! lol I love the sapin-sapin and bibingka. =)
Puto is best paired with Dinuguan (Pork Blood Stew).😊😊 Sapin-Sapin - Made up of Rice Flour Maja Blanca - Made up of Cornstarch Corn Coconut milk sugar Pichi-Pichi - Made up of Cassava flour sugar. Best with grated cheese instead of coconut Kutsinta - Made up of Cornstach sugar and annatto seeds for color.

Haha yeah the Kakanins were delicious and we absolutely loved it 😋 thank you for watching and glad you enjoyed it 😊
Glad you guys enjoying Filipino food or cousin. Not a lot of people know about our food and it's underrated. But it can also compete with many of other cousins around the world. We appreciate you both for advertising the food we Filipino can offer. But there's so much more you guys haven't tried. Our food is like a hidden gem, just needed to be found and discover.
Yeah 100% agreed, way underrated and hidden. We got tons more we still need to explore, got a list written up and ready to go bit by bit 😊 stay tuned friend 🙌🏻
My favorite kakain is the Maja Blanca , ube cheesecake and buko pandan 😋
@@LaterTofuEats try to mixed ube jam and puto
Behhh. Na enjoy din nila pinsan mo? Naol. Hahah jk.
I read “cousin”, for a second I was like, cousin? Then I realize you meant cuisine.
I like how you enjoyed our filipino desserts! Thank you so much for appreciating our food.
Not a problem, it’s our pleasure 😊 desserts were amazing ☺️
We Filipinos really loves to eat kakanin or Rice cake or rootcrops cakes, it can be eaten as breakfast or snacks in the afternoon and my favourite among those are the pichi-pichi and cassava cake 😋 I also love buko-pandan juice 😍 ,thanks for trying the Filipino rice cakes guys it can really make you full easily and I'm amazed you ate all of those in one sitting 😁
Haha yeah we got full SO fast that we were shocked.. we usually finish everything but this time it felt heavier than usual 😆 had to go for a walk right after 🏃♂️ we’re glad we tried it though, so delicious
Haha coz that's carbohydrates over load, you fill your stomach fast. Lol
Pichi-pichi is made from cassava flour. Sapin-sapin is from ground rice/ maja blanca is made from two versions like the yellow ones is corn and if its white, its made from cassava flour & coconut milk.
Cuchinta is from brown sugar & cassava flour.
Very cool! Those four you mentioned were all very delicious, I think out of them all our favourite was the maja Blanca and the Sapin Sapin ☺️😋
I enjoy watching how you eating Pilipino Desserts
Thank you!! Glad you like it 😁
Thank you for mentioning Trese! Its amazing to watch on Netflix! Its perfect during halloween and love the twins, "kambal" with Trese, those two guys with guns.. thanks for sharing! I recommend Chainsaw man episode 5 now💜 I recommend the manga of it, looking forward to your new videos
Not a problem at all! I loved Trese, honestly was such a good anime 🔥 the twins with the guns are so cool too, also very loyal 🙌🏻 oh yes and can’t go wrong with chainsaw man 😁
11:18 thats why i think it’s best if you taste the food one of each or a portion of each. Don’t eat everything right away. if you eat everything immediately before moving to the next type of food, you’re gonna get full quickly. And when you’re full, you can’t appreciate the last foods you ate. you’re doing a disservice to the last foods you eat.
That’s very true, next time we’ll portion it better so we aren’t struggling to eat near the end 🙏🏻 thanks a lot for giving us that feedback
We usually eat them at merienda time (3:00 pm) that’s why we dont call them dessert ☺️ anyways im so happy you tried them as well ☺️ seems like you both the type of person who everyone loves to hang out 💕 keep making videos ☺️ we will support both of youuu
Yeah we are so glad we tried them too! Loved it so much 🙌🏻 thanks a lot for always supporting us and showing us love 🥰 appreciate it a lot ✌🏻

Pichi pichi is made of cassava (a root crop). Thank you for featuring Filipino food. I love to watch your mukbang Filipino cuisines.
Our pleasure! Thank you so much for watching and supporting our channel 🥰
We called that kakanin traditional stuff not a dessert but we eat for tea break .
The one you ate with grated coconut spread outside is made of cassava
Thanks for liking our filipino kakanin i am salivating watching you😄😋💚
Oh yes Kakanin 😊 sorry about that! It’s our pleasure to try such delicious foods, love it all and thank you for watching 🥰
@@LaterTofuEats You don't need to say soryyy. Glad that you like the ube cheesecake and the sapin-sapin. That's the two of my favorite filipino delicaciessss, and the third one is buko pandan gulaman
Omg everything looks delicious!! 🤤 Great video guys! ❤❤
It was!! Thanks so much Mandy ✌🏻🥰
I love how these guys upload the raw version of their 먹방.♥️♥️
Yeah no cuts for us 😊 all the way through 🙌🏻
The ube cheesecake is my favourite! Anything ube hits the spot. Always enjoy watching you eat and talk about the movies/series you watched.
Thank you so much for liking our content 😊 yeaaa the Ube cheesecake was 🔥!!! I love cheesecakes and that one hit the spottttt
Loving the accent while naming our Filipino delicacies ❤️
😆 thank you! Hopefully we didn’t butcher the names
Filipino desserts are similar to our Chinese and also Vietnamese desserts! Anything pandas is delicious and I’m with you that the salted egg in the moon cakes are the best!
Bibingka is a must Christmas season food along with "puto bung-bong".
Wow thanks for appreciating our Filipino meryenda (snack desserts)😍
Our pleasure!! 😊🥰 thanks for supporting us!
Finally, Pinoy Kakanin and buko pandan as dessert. Glad you like them all.
😁 we loved it! Thank you for watching ✌🏻
these snacks look really good when paired with tea or coffee.
Yeah wish I got coffee or tea but we already had the sago’t gulaman and didn’t want too much liquid 😭
We have turon with the chocolate peanut bar that you liked from your Filipino treats video. I think you would love them too.
Oh no way whattt?! That soujds amazing 👀
We will definitely look into the hispano-Filipino side of desserts next time ✌🏻 those ones look and sound very delicious 🤤 thanks so much for letting us know 🙏🏻
So happy and glad you really loved (our) filipino delicasies. The yellow one we called it maja blanca.
It’s our pleasure! Totally delicious and we loved the maja Blanca! 🤤
Filipino would love this channel so much....haha ur accent was so funny....thank you for featuring our desserts😍
Haha hopefully we didn’t destroy the names when we said it 😆 we tried our best 😝 thank you so much for watching and supporting us!
@@LaterTofuEats nah..we understand that you are not a Filipino that's why u didn't pronounce it right...kinda funny😂
looking forward for another Filipino foods😍
That dessert selection is perfect for this holiday season. Also I kinda craved some coffee while watching because of all the sweets and I haven't had coffee in years now 😅
Oh no lol you need to have some coffee! I drink like 2-3 cups a day 😆 that’s a bit too much though 😝
I’m Filipino and I craved it after I watched you guys🤣😅! 25mins felt like 10mins! Good job guys! Up to date now with your video🍻

I really love your videos! The way you enjoy the food is so authentic! I would love to see you cook some traditional filipino dishes! Like sinigang or adobo!
Thank you so much for that! Haha yeah eventually we might do some fun cooking vlogs 😝
Damn!!! You guys pronounced everything right!! Hopefully you enjoyed if not all, most of them!!
Haha we are glad we didn’t destroy the names when we said them 😆 was a bit worried
Another more views from your Filipino fans and subscribers. Just love the two of you. You both are handsome too.
Aw thanks so much for that 😭 it means a lot to us 🥰
I love watching you guys enjoy Filipino food. I love how you don’t waste any food as well. When you get a chance try biko, brazo de Mercedes and mango float super yummy.
So glad you liked it 😁 thanks a lot for watching and supporting us 🥰 we will for sure try the desserts you mentioned 🙌🏻
Yeah to be completely honest, we were also unaware of the Filipino dishes let alone how they taste. When we tried it we were genuinely shocked at how delicious they all were, really hope more people get to experience such flavours ✌🏻 thank you so much for always supporting our channel and giving us the motivation to continue 🙌🏻😊 truly appreciate all of you 🙏🏻
@@LaterTofuEats pleasure is mine really. Looking forward for more videos and content from both of you ❤️❤️.
My favorite is the Cassava Cake and Buko Pandan! That is so goood! Turon as well but always depends if the banana used is ripe, makes a whole lot of difference.
As for Trese, I am glad you watched it! It's all about the different creatures of Filipino Folklore. It was a fun series. :D
Great content as always! Please make more filipino food mukabngs! Looking forward to it :D
Oh yes the cassava cake and buko pandan was 🔥, loved those two! (The colour on the buko was really cool, eye catching 😊) Trese also definitely a hit, enjoyed watching it a lot 🙌🏻 thanks for your kind comment as always ✌🏻
@@LaterTofuEats Of course! Always here to support! :D
Most of our dessert is made of glotinous rice (rice cake ) and added some flavour of fruits such as banana. ... coconut... sweetend Milk. . Coconut milk... casava cake is made of sweet potato 😊😊😊
That’s so cool.. The flavours are really amazing, not to mention the texture of each dessert 🤤 top notch 👍🏻
Cassava cake is made of grated cassava just like pichi-pichi (cassava powder)
Lol it's not sweet potato but in it's name Cassava.
Sweet potato is Kamote. Cassava is Kamoteng Kahoy

Glad you enjoyed our "kakanin" ❤️ Buko (coconut) Pandan (it's a leaf, that's where the flavor comes from) Hoping to see more of your cute mukbang videos. Thanks for the effort in memorizing the names of the foods. You do well in pronouncing them too ☺️
Haha thank you so much ✌🏻 glad to hear I didn’t completely butcher the names! Hope you enjoyed it and stay tuned for more 🥰

Ohh never had Barako coffee, sounds really good! (And coffee is my thing) so I’m excited to try it ☕️🤤 thanks for letting us know about it !!
@@LaterTofuEats you are most certainly welcome! 😁
If you like your coffee black with some smoky earthy taste to it then Barako is your friend.
Love to see how you both enjoy eating Filipino desserts.
We totally loved it ✌🏻
U guys r so cute! The gooey w/orange, white & purple are Sapin Sapin=steamed Glutinous rice w/coconut cream, the yellow colored are the Maha Blanca, next round white is Pitchi Pitchi made of Cassava & coconut cream w shreds of coconut outside, orange round are Kutsinta-steamed glutinous rice w/sugar & Lye….👍
Haha yeah it was difficult for us to remember so we had to make a cheat sheet for all the names, hopefully we didn’t mess up too badly 😆
The Kutsinta is good with coconut bits or coconut shreads on top of it.
Ohh yes we heard after we had it, going to try that next time for sure 😁✌🏻
Enjoy the filipino food❤
Next time come and visit the philippines 🇵🇭
And try some other delicious food in our country🙂
We would love to one day! 🥰 would be an amazing experience
It’s SO good 😆
Watching you guys making me starving. And craving those kakanin.
😋 thank you for watching!
Bibingka and turon. Especially turon with jackfruit filling, Taste like heaven.
Sooo good! Totally agreed with you 😊
Loved watching these two and how they listen to their subscribers when it comes to recco hehe I remember their last episode about Filipino's Christmas foods. And I was looking for "bibingka and puto bumbong" not the actual puto bumbong here though just the puto lol and seeing it here.. I just loved them and so excited for their channel to get alot of counts in the coming days😍😍

OMG! They're all yummy 😋 😋 😋
Yes!! Agreed 💯
AGAIN,best video I've watched today so far! ❤️
Omg thank you so much 🥰🙏🏻
Just popping up while im browsing youtube then i subscribe i love the way you eat some of filipino dishes and dessert heheh the sounds thou 😋 hmmmm
Glad we popped up randomly! Thank you for the sub and welcome to our channel 🎉🎉 happy you like our content ☺️
Bibingka is our version of a Christmas cake as it is usually not available all year round but only during Christmas
That’s very interesting 😮 the Bibingka was good, liked it a lot
The reason why some kakanins seem bland is because of the sago’t gulaman drink, it’s sweet. 😅 We don’t usually eat these with sweet drinks.
Ohhhhh! You are right 😮 very possible that sweet drink changes the flavour of the desserts 😞 next time we’ll have coffee with it
Another Filipino food mukbang. 💖 Glad that you both enjoy trying our "KAKANIN". Personally, my fave are sapin-sapin, kutsinta, sago't gulaman and buko pandan. ☺️ And yes, those food will really fill your stomach heavy 😆 More power guys!
Those picks you mentioned are 🔥 we loved it too! It’s so hard to picks tops sometimes cause they are all so delicious 🤤 thanks so much for watching as always and have an amazing weekend!!
Hi to both of you,..new subscriber here, im really glad to see you guys eating our food...more filipino mukbang videos...godbless u both....
Woooohooo!! Thank you for the sub and welcome to our channel 🥰! More Filipino mukbangs will definitely happen 👍🏻
I just love watching you guys eat!
Thank you!! 🙌🏻
Hope you enjoyed! Tho most of them can make you feel full on its own. but you held up! My best pick among these was the Turon and Sago Gulaman for drink - can give you energy for the afternoon
😊We definitely enjoyed it! The turon and sago gulaman was also our tops too! 🙌🏻
Yes! Sago at gulaman drink is sooo good ❤ Thank you, Michael and Dennis for yet another delightful video! Cheers! 🍻
glad you guys are enjoying our Filipino dessert, they all taste delicious
Agreed! All super delicious ✌🏻we loved it 😋
waww thats great Filipino dessert all that i love it because im pinay✌🏻😁🇵🇭 Enjoy eating👍❤️👍
We love it too!! Thanks so much for watching ✌🏻
Bibingka should also have grated cheese and muscovado sugar to be a complete set
We love Sapin Sapin and bibingka too, nice picks 🙌🏻 thanks so much for watching our video and supporting us 😊 (puto wth cheese & egg sounds amazing) 🤤
Puto is best paired with Dinuguan (Pork Blood Stew).😊😊
Sapin-Sapin - Made up of Rice Flour
Maja Blanca - Made up of Cornstarch Corn Coconut milk sugar
Pichi-Pichi - Made up of Cassava flour sugar. Best with grated cheese instead of coconut
Kutsinta - Made up of Cornstach sugar and annatto seeds for color.
Definitely will look into that! Heard a lot about it
Happy to see that both of you like our food.
Totally do! 🤤 it’s delicious
My mouth salivating watching you two eating turon, my fav snacks.
😊 turon was so good! Thanks for watching 🥰😊
thank you for trying Filipino cuisine. For some people in the west, they think Asians food are weird bcos all they know is chocolate as a dessert 😂
😆 yeah totally understand what you mean. Some are more willing to try but some are not
basically all are made of rice
Cassava cake is not made of rice..it's a root crop
I thought u were being racist 😭😭
My new fave things:
- Michael's infectious laugh
- Dennis' eye contacts
Here's an idea, why don't you just come down here, we'll eat street food with the sago't gulaman (righteous pair), eat local dishes, visit the home of the sweetest mangoes and celebrate either one of your birthday at jollibee-- with mascots and all.
😂 sounds like a lit party 🎉 we would love to visit one day and enjoy the amazing experience ✌🏻will definitely let everyone know if and when we do 👀
Hi Dennis and Michael! Enjoyed watching your Filipino Desserts mukbang! I don't like things that are cloyingly sweet so I love the Turon and jackfruit dessert Lumpia and the Kutsinta...when I grew up mom would make some ang put fresh grated coconut and toasted sesame seeds on them. Really added a great depth of flavor. But, glad you enjoyed your vast array of goodies! Always enjoy your mukbangs and conversation very much! Keep up the great work. 50,000 is just around the corner for you...😁😁😁♥️♥️♥️
Hello!! Yes it’s true, things that are too sweet isn’t good.. but I found that the Filipino kakanins are very light and subtle (most of them at least) especially if it’s paired up with maybe a black coffee or green tea. Haha wow 50k 👀 maybe one day 😆 thanks a lot and appreciate you as always!
