Glad candeias got a mention. Maybe wasn't the most flash player we had but we knew what we would get whereas cerny has a pretty decent goal record. And good for czechia too. Excited and defo needed!

Seems to me like big Phil is getting the same budget constraints as previous managers, which is not good enough. Should be throwing every penny we have at him, he will work wonders if we give him the right money.

I think the Ibrox mess with the stadium delay is costing alot more money than what people realise from sponsorships man, with the 3 million we've spent on diomande too this summer it's gonna hit until we can move players on which we will do over the next few days they'll balance FFP and give us some wiggle room

I live in Enschede and my two boys were born there. Loved seeing this boy play there for FC Twente (alongside Danilo) back in the day. Let us hope FC Twente helps us in taking Lammers off of our hands. And after we dispose of Dynamo Kiev that we get FC Twente in the next qualifying round.
Lets deal with Kiev before we set up the grudge match with Suntan Sam . Wheels are in motion finally, looks like an instant upgrade on Scott Wright .

I'm excited by this signing. With his quality and if he can hit the ground running then this just might be an exciting season after all.
However, we STILL need 2 solid centre backs who can head the ball and can tackle (they don't need to be able to hit 60 yard passes, just 10 to 20 yard passes to teammates), and we need a STRIKER

Got two good wingers now in this lad and Cortes, how about Danilo as a 10 and Shanks as a proper 9, now that would bring a lot of goals potentially.
@johnianknox1629 that's not a bad idea. Danilo started his career as a CAM. I would prefer him as a 9, but that might work. I wouldn't be against it.

I am happy to welcome Cerny. He looks like he knows how to weight a pass well in attack. Some good skills. I hope it turns out well here for him and us. He looks like he could be Phils son. 😂 For me the only way is up with this guy, as his name is not Scott Wright. If there is a player he is a little like for me it is Vladimir Weiss.
Watched his highlights reel and he looks good and for once has someone who wants to shoot from outside the box. Also think if Dessers stays might be the catalyst to helping him score more too hopefully.

Look: 21/22Corona virus 4 day, 20/21Knee injury 307 days, 17/18Cruciate ligament tear 326, days 16/17, Back injury 34 days, 16/17Back problems 6 days,16/17Achilles tendon problems13 days 3, 15/16Hip injury20 days 3. I am pointing out that this board keeping dipping the well for signings with guys who don't have very good injury records.
It's not his fault and hopefully as someone else pointed out it has been almost 4 years injury free, so hopefully it works out. He has signed now so all we can do is hope for the best. My comment has nothing to do with the guys ability. It's about a board taking big risks with signing off on these types. Barron is another, Sima was injured quite a bit before signing, Ridvan and Dujon Sterling are others. What can we do, nothing really, the board has signed off. Even if you are shopping at the bargain basement, and lower end you can still sign players that aren't injury riddled or have suffered bad injuries. Look at Celtic for proof. £1.5 million got them O'Riley, £1.6 got them Maeda.
Looks a good signing. A quality right back and 2 solid cb's and I don't know why people are panicking. Pre season means nothing.

Always great to see a new signing but for ne, the defence is a priority.
We need at least 1 or 2 commanding central defenders that are first teamers...not projects.
Been watching gers for over 40 years and our defence is as weak as its ever been.
We need centre halfs can marshall a defence, be commanding in the air and can out muscle their opponents.
A couple of those Slovenian bruisers from the Euros would do... so they are out there.
All well getting a right winger or a new number 10 but the defence needs sorted and quick.

Sounds like he could be what we've been looking for, I just hope he hasn't seen our pre season so far. Hopefully a few more coming in over the next couple of weeks that help cement this lad as a first pick.
All sounds good - these are the type of loans you want. Straight in the door, the finished article and with something to prove, if he is a success he is within our means on a permanent deal.
Hopefully a few more to follow in the next couple of days as it looks like a few are going out the other way.
Hopefully, he brings more balance and movement to our forward line.

I thought big Dionne Sanderson looked a good CB that we should go for. I would like to see us sign him and maybe another loan for Will Fish of Man Utd. Imagine Sanderson and Fish with Balogun and Nsiala for rotation. Then Souttar and King for emergency cover and Scottish quota. That would do for me.

Only issue i have is that this is another loan with no option to buy, so essentially we improve another clubs player, but he certainly seems a decent player, but has had a fair bit of back luck with knee and cruciate ligament issues, so let’s hope it works out, but either way we need far more signings in the door to have any real bid at this seasons title challenge. Loans can be positive if you bring in the right players,only problem is most players available for loan are either young players looking for game time or out of favor one's trying to rediscover form,loans are always a risk as are signing players who have potential but are currently out of form,but that's unfortunately part of our transfer strategy currently so its a bit of a lottery

Not a fan of this as I'm worried since Wolfsburg don't rate him. I know he had a great record at Twente but doing well in Dutch football doesn't mean he will do well for us just ask Lammers. Glad we have a right winger anyways and hopefully he does well and proves me wrong.

Really happy with cerny but i still feel like we need another backup right winger as personally I’m not a fan of Wright or Mccausland. Saying that, there are probably bigger positions to replace such as Goldson, Tav and Cantwell/Hagi replacements for which i hope at least on of them is announced before the european squad submission.
