Yes, 💯 % truth. The sea (beaches) is an economic stronghold, it brings money and they know this. I've been to Ocho Rios in previous years and wasn't in any resort and these demons created barriers to prevent us from going to the beach and I said to myself but this is where I was born!

I just went to Jamaica and fell in love with it there and that's what they told me. The natives were like hurry up and buy some land they are coming over here and buying it all. I am a white man from Maine in the US. I went to Jamaica last year with my friend from Westmoreland and we had a blast hanging with his family and friends. I liked it best at his family’s yard. They were quite well off with resources but quite poor as well. They had animals for food and to sell/trade. But work is quite hard to find and the wage is quite poor. We went to Negril and checked out some of the open beach with touristy restaurants and bars which I didn’t really like but his cousin wanted to meet girls. He said a black man doesn’t stand a chance with a black woman unless he is with a white man in Negril. We both struck out haha. I had more fun at his female cousins bars and people were more friendly and joked around more there than in Negril. Also eating food was different in tourist areas than local areas. What I’m saying is real Jamaica is cooler than tourist Jamaica.
Sadly Jamaica was built on colonialism and capitalism and the people who call it home were brought there. The people who were first there were pushed out. My friends dad may be part native to Jamaica. That’s what I think anyways. There’s too many people in Jamaica for the infrastructure they have and the work they don’t have.
I don’t know how you can stop toxic capitalism but I will say I don’t like it and it’s all about money. You’ll have to decide how to get people to bring to question and vote to keep areas the same and not commercialize them.

It's already happening and probably too late to do anything about it. I've been away from Jamaica for over 20 years. On a recent visit I wanted to go to the beach only to be told there's no beach I can go to the way I used to go, just go there! Now they are all surrounded by walls and fences, I have to pay to go in, or have to be buying something from them just to be let in. I was shocked! The ocean belong to the Jamaican people, not the white man (tourist of any color).
We have open beaches and tons of open space on the island for everyone but we pollute it. Ask the people to pay for cleaning and services for open beaches and they look at you like you crazy.

The same is happening in Hawaii and my beloved Puerto Rico 🇵🇷, even though by law the coastline is to remain accesible to the local residents there are foreigners that acquiring these beachfront real estate and they assume that the beach is part of the property and some of them get away with fencing off parts of the beach, we need to get our beaches back or else we will be landlocked in our own island.

After Europeans have conquered everything and everywhere by force of weapons and religion you and them are talking about the brotherhood of everybody. Why didn't they practice that in before killing Native peoples and colonizing weaker less well armed people? The struggle is just beginning my friend. We'll have brotherhood of all human kind when that which stolen is returned and justice served for millions who were murdered.

The government of Jamaica swear allegiance to THE British monarchy. (CROWN) The Government of Jamaica work for the Crown, not for Jamaicans. Jamaica is NOT independent. The LAND of Jamaica is owned by the British Crown, not Jamaicans. Jamaicans with ancestry in Africa, never TOOK Jamaica OR RECEIVED it from their colonial masters. (CROWN) According to Land title in Jamaica, Jamaicans are land holders, not landowners.
If the People of Jamaica truly want Independence, they have to DO IT THEMSELVES. If they truly want the Land of Jamaica, they have to TAKE or RECEIVE it from the CROWN. The Government cannot do any of this unless they plan to commit TREASON against the CROWN. Jamaicans are STILL SLAVES in Jamaica. If you are tired of being SLAVES, then do something about it otherwise, you will continue to be pushed into the deepest, darkest corners of the country until you don't exist. It's truly amazing that back in 1962, someone convinced masses of Jamaicans that they did not have to agitate for FREEDOM and LIBERTY anymore because the British GAVE them independence. The Independence fact is - The British allowed the Jamaican people to elect a government locally instead of Britain sending an Appointed Governor as usual. The result is the same The Locally elected government work for the King. IF YOU WANT FREEDOM AND LAND OWNERSHIP, YOU HAVE TO TAKE IT, NO ONE IS GOING TO GIVE IT TO YOU.
