Exactly. I have been watching this channel for a while now. Really love his reviews. Detailed and clear but doesn’t take 30 minutes to tell you what you want to know. He is clear and the videography is great!
A couple of points about the asking price of the Telluride and its availability. First, it isn't the case that all KIA dealers have attached "market adjustment" second stickers to their inventory. No doubt many have/are but others have not. My local dealer in the Seattle area, for example, has a policy against adding second stickers to vehicles. Unfortunately, of course, this means there's a long waiting list at my dealer. So long, in fact, that customers looking for a top trim SX Telluride with the PP option package are told they won't be seeing the vehicle on which they put in a deposit until early 2020. So what's up? KIA originally expected relatively strong demand for the Telluride. They set a production schedule of 41,000 vehicles for the 2019 calendar year. Once set it's extremely difficult to alter a production schedule. Additional production lines can't be produced with a magic wand. Workers, even non-union workers, can't work 16 hours a day over an extended period. New hires can't be expected to build vehicles without training. And many of a vehicle's components aren't built by its manufacturer; they come from third party firms whose flexibility in increasing production on short notice are even more constrained. Once the total output was determined KIA turned to their dealers for preliminary orders. Automotive dealers are a conservative lot. They hate seeing vehicles sitting on their lots for even a month. So many dealers based their orders on their experience that KIA customers would be "budget driven,," opting for lower trim trims rather than Tellurides priced between $45K and $50K. Comparatively few top trim vehicles were ordered. And since KIA like almost all manufacturers sell their vehicles to dealers, not to consumers, relatively few top trim Tellurides were initially produced. And then what happened? Much to the surprise of dealers and KIA there was massive demand for the Telluride. Far more than they expected and planned for and a large part of that demand was for the top trim SX version. KIA tried to respond to the demand but found that some components needed for the SX (e.g. second row captain chairs) were in short supply from the firm building them. Production had to be halted until the shortages were resolved. Demand will settle into a more predictable pattern. KIA will adjust their production schedule for 2020 and dealers will recognize that their customers are somewhat ahead of them in recognizing that KIA is not longer a purely budget brand. But it will all take a while.
Excellent analysis. I think reviews like this show consumers that Kia has completely turned around. Top trims like the SX and SXL now have some of the best technology and value in any price category. Well done Kia. I guess high demand is a good problem to have.
This looks awesome. Great job Kia. You guys thought about almost everything and The Rear occupant alert is the best of them all. No more accidental deaths in parked cars.

Purchased Kia telluride two weeks ago, took it out to Los Angelos from Monterey Ca. It was great but the android panel controls froze up because it was exposed to the sun. I called the dealer to see how we can reset the control panel. He said we have to bring it in so they can reset it. We were on our way home about two hours away. After we got back about 7 hours later in a cooler environment the android panel finally started responding to our touch. I hope this will not be a problem because The panel easily exposed to the sun so it seems to heat up quickly if your in the sun. You might think about using a window cover to cover the android panel. I have the 2020 model with everything on it. Trying to schedule appointment so they can tell us what we need to do so this does not happen again. Wish me luck.
I started looking online for this vehicle while I was overseas. I was also looking at the Range Rover. I finally got one in which I was offered unlimited years/one million mile power train warranty from Kia only for vehicles purchased at that particular dealership. I purchased the vehicle. And I must say I’m extremely in pressed with all the features inside & the body style outside. Plus, it’s way cheaper than paying for a brand new Range Rover.
Few questions, how much did you put down, what's your monthly payment, how was your credit score when purchasing, and what was the interest rate.thank you
Emmanuel Ras I’m in Canada. I ordered my Telluride beginning of May and took delivery at end of July. I got $3800 off MSRP. I only had to put $500 down and interest rate was 1.9%.
I purchased a black SX in early May. Still trying to locate a lot of the features. It's been babied. Didn't plan on buying a car at all that weekend but we drove past a dealership and they had four. We test drove ours with 21 miles on it. Bought it and by the time we left a short time later, contracts were done on all four. At the time we didn't realize how popular they were. Purchased for 43k way less than they wanted. Luckily I'm married to a negotiator, lol. Right now I'm only at 2300 miles. I only wish it had a V8 motor.
I'm afraid of driving a new model after the Kia a family member owned after seeing the problems he had with his. Good luck to all those who purchase a Kia especially with the recall they need to do on their other models.
I got one not the seven seats but eight seats I like it and it reminds me of my old blazer. Yeah is a Kia but it's something new and I loving it. I never drive it without family.
Impressive video - great production quality, too. That took a lot of editing :) Thank you for the great insight. This vehicle appears to be a terrific value. My only hangup is the unknown: future value retention, quality over 70k miles... places where this brand has not thrived in the past. Thoughts?
Thank you, Top Cloud Agents. The editing process can be extensive, but we're committed. LOL. In regards to later-life quality and reliability, only time will tell, but Kia (and Hyundai) has a fantastic New car warranty to help alleviate some concerns and reliability has been pretty good in recent years. We appreciate your comments and thanks for watching!
I have an SX (non-prestige package) and it’s great. Ton of bang for the buck, assuming you can find a dealer who’s not trying to get $5-10k above MSRP because supply is scarce and reviews are good. We just got back from a 2 week road trip in it, and had zero complaints.
So basically, if you can't afford the new Lincoln Aviator, Almost any type of Range or land rover, all Cadillac suv's, and the all new Ford explorer (the new design is 🔥) Get yourself a kia telluride. Gotcha.
I wanted a Kia Telluride all wheel drive. They are super hard to find. One dealer bragged than he was charging 8K over MSRP. I almost bought it from a dealer who wanted to charge me only 3K over MSRP. Then I bought a Hyundai Palisade in Tracy and got WAY more options (fully loaded) at 500.00 UNDER MSRP. It is all wheel drive as well. It’s almost exactly the same, but a much better color. Got it all and saved a lot. My dealer probably could have easily sold my Palisade for thousands over MSRP as it was the only AWD within 100 miles of the Bay Area, but he chose to give me a great deal instead. I couldn’t find a KIA dealer who didn’t want more than MSRP on the AWD version. I will never buy a Kia.

Beautiful vehicle all around. I wish it had OTA software updates especially as it pertains to driving automation. A page to borrow from TESLA or even collaborate with TESLA. No reason why the AWD version cannot achieve the level V automation at least on HWY

WOW...So far, in the ATL, I have only seen one. It prompt me to do a Google search. Thank you so much for sharing. Seeing the key points in action versus reading about it makes this vehicle worthy. Feminine...not too much. Masculine....100% But I actually fell in love with TELLURIDE when I spotted it on ATL expressway...all white, chromed out with cream leather seating. BAD! Thanks KIA 👍👍👍👍!
Love the options and look however I'm still annoyed that there isn't an auto start on the key fob! Every company has one on the key fob. Yes I know they have the app but after a year you have to pay for it?? That is not cool. Other than that everything else it offers is nice.
Go for Hyundai Palisade which is Telluride's sister vehicle and it has remote start on key fob. I've debated between the 2 vehicles for a while and settle with Lagoon Silver Palisade Limited with black interior a few weeks ago (trading in 2011 BMW 535 GT), and this car is so much better than the GT. It is basically a luxury crossover with Hyundai badge on it, feature and comfort wise, Telluride and Palisade are lightyears ahead of Toyota Highlander or Honda Pilot. The 2 models interrupted the segment and set a new standard in my opinion.
@@miramontes92 yes but you have to pay for the phone service after your first year. Key fobs are what folks want. Plus the app I understand has lag and sometimes doesn't work when you have no cell signal or loss
I guess I'm officially old because I remember when car dealers just wanted to move inventory and would never let you leave if your negotiations were only 200.00 dollars apart...so I just smh and take my money else where. Great credit, don't have to be sold on the Telluride, know what color and options I want already, I know it's a hot vehicle at this time so I don't expect to get thousands off the MSRP...just happy with a bone thrown, sounds like easy sale for any salesman...NOT!!!!! greed rears ugly it's head...so here we are...lol
I have a Kia Soil! and I have loved it. But that’s a crazy price for a Kia. At four years old things are starting to fail and it gets very expensive to repair and have that last year of payments too.
While I like this car the price tag is big. I bought a 2020 sorento a s model loaded up which I think is just as nice. Kia has a great line of vehicle's for all price ranges
I like this exterior but imo the palisade interior looks much better. Do not really like the look of this interior at all but love the exterior. And I love the interior of the palisade but am not a fan of the exterior.
I`d say in the end, the exterior weighs a bit heavier if the interior isn`t completely terrible, and it isnt :P While the exterior of the Palisade does indeed look pretty "controversial" to say the least

Perhaps the most practical and functional SUV ever - a SMART truck, if you will. If for no other reason, I love the child left in car alerts alone! Perfection and functionality can work together.
The entry level and the top of the line are almost two different vehicles. While I love my entry level 4wd the safety features are just down right dangerous. Apparently that’s becoming standard these days though.
Great Review. I am impressed by this vehicle. The interior and exterior styling are great. I am not in the market for a vehicle this large but I would certainly consider one if I were.
Yeah. It's a fairly large vehicle, canonlybeme4life. So if you've got a lot of stuff/people to move around, it's worth a consider. Fortunately, it doesn't drive that large, either. And this is coming from someone who prefers a good hatchback or wagon. As always, thanks for watching!
I noticed that there aren't many of these on the lots. Makes me think dealerships are intentionally limiting stock to therefore be able to drive up prices. I love this SUV but I think I'll wait until the hype dies down.
Nope, Kia just can't make them fast enough for the demand for them. They're only made here in the US. My dad works at the plant where they're produced. We can't even get the discount for them because the demand is so high

@Swamp Balls That's a problem that reflects the sad state of education in American schools.
Problem could be that buyers may not have the patience to wait. The excitement may wear off before more top trims are available.
And then there is our market in Dallas, where a local dealer added an almost $11k market up (making the top trim Telluride a $61k SUV).

Good luck, Andy Lualemana, and thanks for watching!
Needs a dual exhaust
WOW I AGREE
NO YAPPING just straight to the best review ever! Other reviewers TALK AND YAP UR BRAINS OUT! SOOOO THANK YOU FOR PRECISE NO BS REVIEW!!
We truly appreciate your comments, RV Bella. Thanks for watching!
Thanks, Chris! I really like your presentation of the features right from the start.
This is an outstanding value. Great vehicle!
Thanks for watching, Bill!
This car also has interior lighting in the door jams and across the dash
I Really Really like the Telluride & Palisade.. both really hit home with being very very optioned out for under $50k
They sure have, Brian Michael. Thanks for watching!
Thinking about getting this exact model. Best review I have seen yet. Great job! Thanks for the video.
We appreciate your comments, brian zeh. Thanks for watching!
Definitely cheaper than a Range Rover, Leslie Fowler. Enjoy you new ride and thanks for watching!
AutoAcademics I really appreciate your review because it was on point. Thank you! I am definitely enjoying my new ride. 😉
We got ours about 4 days ago. We cant stop thinking about how amazing the car is
Congrats on your new ride, Colin Davis, and thanks for watching!
Great review!! One of the best I’ve seen. I own this exact SUVbut in Dark Moss. It’s hands down the best car I’ve owned to date. I love it!!
Few questions, how much did you put down, what's your monthly payment, how was your credit score when purchasing, and what was the interest rate.thank you
We appreciate your comments, Marianne Racz. Thanks for watching!
Emmanuel Ras I’m in Canada. I ordered my Telluride beginning of May and took delivery at end of July. I got $3800 off MSRP. I only had to put $500 down and interest rate was 1.9%.
@@marianneracz8462 thanks allot for the reply.
I think you are asking for too much info dude
I purchased a black SX in early May. Still trying to locate a lot of the features. It's been babied. Didn't plan on buying a car at all that weekend but we drove past a dealership and they had four. We test drove ours with 21 miles on it. Bought it and by the time we left a short time later, contracts were done on all four. At the time we didn't realize how popular they were. Purchased for 43k way less than they wanted. Luckily I'm married to a negotiator, lol. Right now I'm only at 2300 miles. I only wish it had a V8 motor.
Very impressive review on the Telluride Sir. It was Informative without any unnecessary fluff. 👍🏼
We appreciate your comments, dexburwell. Thanks for watching!
Thanks for sharing, Darryl Nevels. Enjoy your vehicle and thanks for watching!
I've watched other RUclips videos on the Kia and I must say you nailed it. The music love it and your overview is grand.
Thank you, Michele Peck-Glaspie. We truly appreciate your comments. Thanks for watching!
I have an SX (non-prestige package) and it’s great. Ton of bang for the buck, assuming you can find a dealer who’s not trying to get $5-10k above MSRP because supply is scarce and reviews are good. We just got back from a 2 week road trip in it, and had zero complaints.
Nice! Thanks for sharing and for watching, Rafi Jacoby.
Just picked up a new Sportage... incredible vehicle for an incredible price... couldn’t be happier. Like your video, new subscriber
Kia's making some good stuff, Joey P. Thanks for watching!
So basically, if you can't afford the new Lincoln Aviator, Almost any type of Range or land rover, all Cadillac suv's, and the all new Ford explorer
(the new design is 🔥)
Get yourself a kia telluride.
Gotcha.
Basically
I really like this. Kia has definitely stepped it up. Thanks for your thorough review
They sure have, mommyof3redheadsand1brunette. Thank you for watching!
Love this type of review. You didnt water it down with a bunch of things 99% of people dont care about or even understand for that fact. Great review!! Got a new sub here!
I read some of the comments after I posted mine and it seems everyone came to the same conclusion!!! Keep up the great work!!
@@SamPhillips01 Thank you, Sam P! We appreciate your support.
Good review. My wife is interested in this vehicle and after looking at some other reviews, I was ready to pass on this SUV. After seeing your review which went into more detail than others, I can say that I'm now very interested in this vehicle. Keep up the good work, sub earned.
We appreciate your support, Theo Baker! Thanks for watching!
Owned an sx for six months now. Beats the heck out of all the GM products we waisted our money on..!
Great review! Did you steal mine? (I had it in my driveway this past week.) . What an incredible SUV. I absolutely loved it, and I'm afraid that the wife loved it so much we might make the test permanent. Haha!
Ha! I saw you had it. Must have been right after me. Great vehicle. Just bring your own entertainment.
Great warranty too
@@juliemanarin4127 Yup. Thanks for watching, Julie Mandarin!
saw one today in my town and thought it was a Range Rover ..lol nice
right???? That's why I want this a cheaper version of a range rover, yes please.
@ If I get this, I would definitely do the same. That Luxury Badge is a lot classier than the huge "KIA."
I own a Range Rover, this is none like it. 👎
Haha! I just did that too. I also de chromed mine and now have red calipers. It's ALL black now. Chrome be gone. People are really going to be confused. @
Fantastic Review. Best I’ve seen. Bravo!
We truly appreciate that, Joe Pereira. Thanks for watching!
I think the knobs give it a retro look which I like.
Had to subscribe. Love this presenter.
Beautiful vehicle all around. I wish it had OTA software updates especially as it pertains to driving automation. A page to borrow from TESLA or even collaborate with TESLA. No reason why the AWD version cannot achieve the level V automation at least on HWY
Just needs a hybrid motor, weather tech liners, retractable side steps, smoked lamps, and tinted windows.
I work for Kia and those things fly off the lot, especially the dark green one with the black wheels
Great review...I currently drive a 16 Sorento SX, probably gonna grab a 21 Telluride SX and give the hubby the 16. Your vid really confirmed my choice...
Happy we could help, Schirl Benjamin. Thanks for watching!
Very cool and informative video!. Everything I wanted to see and know about this vehicle without having to watch a 20 - 30min review from other car channels. 👍🏻👍🏻.
Thanks for watching, Marcelo Angel!
Shopped for an sx loaded the other night for a lease. 48k sticker Dealer said only offer he would take was
5000$ down
865 a month for 36 months
12 k miles a year
I laughed and we left
They still have the truck
It did drive nice though but not for that much money
I guess that salesman was up to no good.
You should purchase it rather than leasing and sell whenever you want to.
Makes more sense that way.
I could only afford the LX AWD since I live in chicago and paid 38,500 for a base model I regret the purchase only good thing about it is the warranty
This is a great review. Different from all other ones in a good way! Wide camera angles are great!
Thank you, Raymond Diep! We appreciate your comments. Thanks for watching!
Kia stepping up their game big time with this one.. Im a tahoe owner and looking to buy a new one but the Telluride has my attention definitely
It's a different kind of vehicle, Eric Carmona. If you don't need to tow a ton, the Kia is a great vehicle and should meet your needs nicely. Happy shopping and thanks for watching!
KIA has knocked it right out the park!
Kia has knocked it out of the zipcode, these other manufacturers better make some moves.
@@aperxmim Sho nuff!
Everyone keeps saying those exact same words.
Love it...under 10m and very detailed. Good job.
Thanks for watching, D Bankole!
Best wait couple years before buying...cause who knows how long that drive train going to last....
Its warranted for 10 years 100,000 miles bro. What you talking bout?
It’s basically the same drivetrain as the Sorrento. That things been around for years and has good consumer reports reliability
I want one of these!!! Think about warranties when choosing your nice new SUV!
10 year power train trans and engine 5 year 60k number to number 1st and every 5th oil change for free at my dealership and I'd you maintain your service at a kia tires for life. Covers wear and tear not puncture
I love how the car can send an alert to stupid people that they left their kids in the car. They should call it the "Bad Parent" warning.
LOL
Thanks for watching, Adam smith!
When I saw that warning it immediately pissed me off.
Yea sadly kids have been left in hot cars that have died, just because the parent forgot them.
LETS WATCH UTUBE I personally think anybody that leaves children in a car in the summer should be put in a metal box in the middle of the desert.

Want this SUV soooo bad! Kia has come a long way baby!
Sure have, Alicia Brookshire. Thanks for watching!
You did a very good job reviewing that truck I have to give you credit! I was never really a Kia fan, but I have to admit the truck is definitely sweet! Subaru owner at the moment. Happy holidays to you and yours...🎄
We truly appreciate your comments, Gemster18. Thank you and thanks for watching, too!
WOW...So far, in the ATL, I have only seen one. It prompt me to do a Google search. Thank you so much for sharing. Seeing the key points in action versus reading about it makes this vehicle worthy. Feminine...not too much. Masculine....100%
But I actually fell in love with TELLURIDE when I spotted it on ATL expressway...all white, chromed out with cream leather seating.
BAD! Thanks KIA 👍👍👍👍!
It's a nice vehicle, Belinda Haywood. Thanks for watching!
I have the white nightfall edition! Sweetest ride ever and it’s a looker
Nice! Enjoy it, B C, and thanks for watching!
I have one and I absolutely love it!!!
Nice! Thanks for watching, DeAngela Etheridge!
Great video. Just picked up a 2020 Telluride! Loving it so far!
Congrats on your new ride, Chris Loeper, and thanks for watching!
I can't wait to get an EX!!! I'm just adding the tow package on mine
Got ours 4 days ago. I promise you, youll love it. No joke.
With UVO services you have remote start from your phone.
@@miramontes92 yes but you have to pay for the phone service after your first year. Key fobs are what folks want. Plus the app I understand has lag and sometimes doesn't work when you have no cell signal or loss
Joe I want to order a Telluride SX prestige package but under MSRP...seems like an impossible task here in NJ
Rico E they’re not giving this model away you gotta pay sticker don’t buy it at all
Same in NY
I guess I'm officially old because I remember when car dealers just wanted to move inventory and would never let you leave if your negotiations were only 200.00 dollars apart...so I just smh and take my money else where. Great credit, don't have to be sold on the Telluride, know what color and options I want already, I know it's a hot vehicle at this time so I don't expect to get thousands off the MSRP...just happy with a bone thrown, sounds like easy sale for any salesman...NOT!!!!! greed rears ugly it's head...so here we are...lol
Rico E it’s not your money if you’re financing, it’s the banks vehicle. You can buy one used in a year or two. That’s the best to support your budget
@rico keep in mind it’s a business not a charity. Think about asking for a discount when you go and order at a restaurant
Kia definitely did their thing with this SUV 🔥
I have a Kia Soil! and I have loved it. But that’s a crazy price for a Kia. At four years old things are starting to fail and it gets very expensive to repair and have that last year of payments too.
Great review no wasted time on irrelevant info. Covered all the pertinent information thanks
Thanks for watching, space bass!
While I like this car the price tag is big. I bought a 2020 sorento a s model loaded up which I think is just as nice. Kia has a great line of vehicle's for all price ranges
They sure do, Scott Huey. Thanks for watching!
I’m live in Toronto. I watched this Kia telluride review a lot lately looking for big suv. and also myself Korean and I’m very interested Kia ... but I haven’t seen telluride on the road. Not even one. Is really hot??????
I saw one the other day...beautiful! I asked the owner how she liked it...she said she loved it!
You should try the Hyundai Palisade and measure it up against the Telluride.
We went in the launch of the Palisade. Here's our first impression: ruclips.net/video/OVvRdtra930/видео.html. But we'll save our comparitive thoughts for when we actually get one for review. Thanks for watching, Scott Williams!
It's litetally the same vehicle
Literally the same auto group Kia and Hyundai are owned by same
@@Crayon3aterGaming Test drove both. The Palisade is more 'floaty' and doesn't handle sharp turns well.
Perhaps the most practical and functional SUV ever - a SMART truck, if you will. If for no other reason, I love the child left in car alerts alone! Perfection and functionality can work together.
My dad has a Kia Telluride SX it’s awesome
Thanks for sharing and for watching, Gucci Narwhal!
No problem
Unfortunately the Kia Stinger has been heavily discounted due to slow sales.
The entry level and the top of the line are almost two different vehicles. While I love my entry level 4wd the safety features are just down right dangerous. Apparently that’s becoming standard these days though.
Wow! They have out done themselves with this one! 😮💃🏽💙
It's a nice vehicle, Linda Lynn. Thanks for watching!
Nice handsome SUV.. thanks for review. It's made in USA.
Thanks for watching, blackhawk2429!
Good work! This review was awesome, i'm thinking about trading in my Mazda CX5
Thanks for watching, Pistol Pete Eubank. And happy car shopping!
Great review
Thanks for watching, Eric Blackmon!
@@DarkenedButterfly666 Wow... I think I'll wait it out.
@@DarkenedButterfly666 I had to go to 3 dealerships before we found just one to test drive, and then drove it off the lot.
