Great to see BAT pedals getting some attention in 2021. To answer your question, yes they do lots of pedals and all of them are of the highest quality. My recommendation to anyone that's in the same boat and just learning of these would be to check out something like the Black Forrest and go from there. I've owned the witch burner OD, quantum mystic, Pharoah, Pharoah supreme and I just bought a son of Pharoah last night. I feel like these pedals shine more so with Humbuckers but I guess that is personal taste. Great to see how versatile the Pharoah, even through single coils 😎🤘
It’s amazing to me just how useable a fuzz tone can be. I mean you never think ( at least I don’t) , I need something that sounds broken right after the third measure? But it’s been the secret sauce on so many recordings. I probably need to start trying to make friends with fuzz.
I agree with you there. Seeking how popular fuzz pedals has been and still is, it amazes me that this is literally the first fuzz I've played besides the big muff many moons ago. Might have to dive deeper into the world of fuzz!
Currently stuck trying to decide between this and a way huge russian pickle - and while I like the rumbles, going for stoner/doom, this was actually quite helpful! Great review!
hi ! thx for your nice video, i'm discovering your channel :) i have the pharaoh too, which can be from a boost pedal to a very loud fuzz pedal. It's made for rock, stoner, and especially doom... and Black Arts are well known in stoner community :) so i can maybe answer some questions : - the low/high, is indeed a choice for the input resistance signal, so low gain/hi gain - the middle switch position : it's a choice between Silicon diode, Germanium diode, or NO diode in the circuit : influencing the "character" of the gain If you've got time, you could make the same video with a Lespaul, and you'll see what i mean for doom sound :) Thx dude and keep to make videos !
Thank you for your comment! I did try it with my Les Paul and it does sound killer indeed! I don't know if I'm gonna do a video dedicated to the LP only now that this is up, but if it's something people would want to see, I would consider it! Once again thanks for the insight and your comment! 🤗
@@resqgear1918 no unfortunately not, i asked you on ig if you had any tracking of the package but i know you are very busy. Never mind , this is a great channel and you deserve support!
Nice to find a channel that uses amps similar to me. I use Bassbreaker 15 combo, Laney Cub12r combo w/Vintage 30/Blues jnr iii Tweed (it's a HR series amp, so close enough!) In wet/dry, Stereo, or wet/dry/wet those three amps are amazing. The 18/30 is discontinued now, yeah? Has yours blown up yet? ;) JK. They rarely do that. Great pedal,.good demo. Along with the BA designed DOD Boneshaker I have Doom tones covered.

The GE/SI switch in the middle bypasses both GE and SI diodes. Also for what its worth the Pharaoh is based on heavily modified Big Muff Circuit. It and the Black Forest from Black Arts Toneworks were on my short list for fuzzes, I ended up with the Black Forest, which I love.
Also they do a bunch of gain pedals beyond the Pharaoh, the Black Forest is a coloursound Overdrive/Power booster circuit turned up to 11 and into a fuzz, they have several other Muff based fuzzes, an octave fuzz called the Fnord, I believe their Black Sheep is based on the Beebea fuzz circuit, a Treble booster called the Skyboost, a Tube screamer and a ross distortion based drive and some other fairly wild stuff.
Pharaoh supreme is a little bit more versatile, that’s the one I got. But either are incredible. Son of Pharoah is a great option for saving pedalboard space. Put a compressor in front and play with your fingers and it’s a doom dream.
what is the difference between the $189, and the $400 pedal? is there a MOD you can do to it? or whats the deal? Is it because people get a new 2023 Pharaoh and think its somehow worth more lol?
Yours is apposite of mine. On mine the sil is a good bit louder than the ger. Also the middle position takes the diodes out of the circuit making it more like a boost.
I have the coven version which includes the black forest and the pharaoh.. the thing is dope but I have little to no idea what a few of the toggles do.. I just play with it and hope to land on the magic mix lol

Oh I like the pharaoh fuzz waaay better!
@@resqgear1918 I figure the Russian lacks the flexibility to be other than just a rumbly doom machine? :D
Swollen Pickle better and cheaper and more sound options
@@martyweiner9054 Wrong. The Pharaoh is insanely versatile.

@@resqgear1918 you’re welcome 😎 ok no problem ! I think it could be interesting with the LP, as you wish 😎😎
Confused between this Pharaoh or the Priestess. I think you should compare those two! Nice review!
10 years ago this and the Hoof were all the rage on the boards.
The germanium channel breathes fire!
Hey Luigi! Long time no see! Did the amp ever arrive at your place? Never heard from you 😱

@@resqgear1918 thank you guys, i din't want to bother you. You really are something!

The mid position is a LED clip. It's louder because the signal is less compressed.
I think it's no clipping diodes, not LED.
EDIT: Pharaoh Supreme has more clipping options, including LED clipping.
Mid position is no clipping at all.

Are u using any noise gate there?
Not if I didn't mention it in the video 😊
@@resqgear1918 thanks for the answer. I believe gain and/or volume knobs after 12 o'clock make it hiss a lot?
100% the best fuzz ever made, especially if you DOOOOOOOOM
Debateable.
Very pretty pedals made by a greasy dwarf
