great video, I was looking for a comparison on the buttons. You're the only one that's hit it. Good job! definitely answered all my questions regarding the buttons. Excellent video!
thank you so much bro. i just ordered a flatbox on aliexpress and a kitsune right after, since i found a cheap offer on amazon. now the flatbox arrived, while the kitsune will come somwhere between mid november and march, lol. so i tested the flatbox, and damn, those buttons are really small, coming from a razer panthera... i like the flatbox so far, but i really need something bigger long term. so i'm just glad, the kitsune is using similar button sizes like the panthera did.
i saw a reddit that measured the small razer buttons at 25mm and the large 30mm. sino arcade’s 24mm button is actually 20.2mm and the 30mm is 25.5mm with the full body they measure at the respective 24mm and 30mm
Good comparison. I own both a 2022 hitbox and a 2023 JFA snackbox micro xl and the snackbox is awesome for the fact that you can easily change the SOCD settings and its works on the xbox series consoles as well as the Nintendo Switch. This generation I find myself mostly playing on the Xbox so I really love it, but if I am playing fighting games on the PC I do really love using the traditional hitbox with the sanwa buttons.
loving my Kitsune (first time using a leverless controller too) but man, I wish there were better instructions on cleaning it safely. The instructions say to just take a clean rag but I want to disinfect this thing. Any cleaning recommendations for the Kitsune?
I just take a microfiber cloth and a standard desinfectant spray. Just spray it on the cloth instead of the Kitsune! I clean it after every gaming session, otherwise it will start to look filthy really quick XD
I think they're only currently available on AliExpress. If you're only interested in 30mm, I think this is the best offer for them: www.aliexpress.us/item/3256804339993510.html
The Snackbox is nice but I ended up selling it because I found the Kitsune to be the most comfortable to play on, mostly because of the size of its buttons. I'm also accustomed to playing with an arcade stick on my lap and the Kitsune is also more comfortable for that. I bought a few leverless controllers and it ultimately came down to comfort/usability for me. The Kitsune won in that regard. It'll very much come down to personal preference though.
Not sure about any with actual buttons for L3/R3, they're usually along the top row. You may need to go with a custom build and map extra buttons to those inputs. GP2040CE may have the functionality to change buttons 7/8 to that, but I'm not sure. You may also be able to remap those in game. Or, depending on your platform, I think there are accessibility settings to remap one button to another.
@@kennychan2599I use the long keycap puller with two handles and just squeeze them into the gaps and then pulls out the buttons easily. The handles are quite flexible so no need to worry about damage

Thank you, Ryan. I really appreciate it!

I dont understand why most leverless controllers don't use 30mm for the right hand side buttons.
The sinoarcade buttons sit too high compared to stock so I sanded some down to slightly below stock

Does it work natively or requires a converter?
@@OrganisedRhyme the snackbox works natively on all the next generation consoles, but the Hitbox requires a converter.

I legit just run away any smudges or marks with my hands 😂 pretty surprised people have issues with cleaning it tbh
Could you demonstrate how to remove the keycaps and cover for cleaning?
Please test different switches on the kitsune? Keychron sells the compatible low profile optical switches
I'll look into them!
You have a link to the exact 30mm buttons you purchased? Interested in trying them!

How do you like the snackbox compared to the kitsune? Really liking how silent the Kitsune is

I thought they were 30's & 1 32 jump button.
