This short film is really well made. Good job!
Love it. Reminds me a very little of Upgrade and of course GitS- though I think this more closely resembles the spirit of what GitS could have been.

That's very Cyberpunk in and of itself. Very Cool. This def showed passion for the genre. Hopefully with the Cyberpunk game coming out that is so hugely popular already, we will see finally the genre becoming more popular for sci fi films and stories.

Brilliant! Having grown up on first-gen cyberpunk and beyond, this is a very solid and very enjoyable piece of short. My only problem with it: it has an ending :D If you need industrial music for your movies, hit me up! (planetdamage.com/music has all the cyberpunky bits!)

The translation was pretty off in quite a few places, but otherwise this was pretty good. Also, spoilers for another movie, but it is very similar to Upgrade (though this came out first).

Really slow-paced (Unnecessarily Stretched to 10 minutes, 10 min+ means more revenue, I guess)

Of course, women beat men in hand-to-hand combat once again! Of course, I even had a Princeton undergraduate debate me once how a woman could defeat a man in mixed martial arts combat!
There are many martial arts that rely on balance, motion and awareness of the body, rather than on brute strength. i have only 3 years of Aikido instruction, that i never needed until i came to live in USA and yet i, 155cm 45kg. have successfully defended mai self against much larger men. In the story, the AI assumes control of Mach1, her body appears to be healthy, and we have no specific knowledge of just how much "combat" data the AI possesses. Do not let your testosterone override your mind.

All style over substance. Garbage!
The substance was the story itself, which apparently you ignored? A data thief has stolen a locked cache, and does not have the skills to decrypt it, so she phones her contacts, looking for Mach1, a woman of skill with computer data, with an augmented body and a data cache of her own stored in her brain. Accessing the drive and finding the barrier, Mach1 is suddenly uncertain and is not prepared for the AI that she has accidentally connected with. The AI overrides Mach1's defenses, deleting her stored data to make room for it self as it transfers from the cache in her hand into the cache in her mind. Mach1 is stunned, and stumbles through the club, then out into the street, slowly regaining her consciousness while the AI attempts to override her body - unable to force Mach1, the AI instead bargains with her, warning her that she will now be pursued by people wanting the AI, that she will be killed and her augmentation ripped from her skull - she agrees to help the AI in order to get it out of her, and the AI gives her a location for internet access nearby, but she is spotted by the man who follows her. She goes the wrong way, entering a darkened tunnel access with people who are dancing, meditating, and apparently only vaguely aware of their surroundings - we do not know if they are augmented, or strung out on drugs or simply overwhelmed by some
other euphoria but they are no help to her as the man approaches. The AI begs to be allowed to override Mach1 and use her body to fight against the attacker and she agrees - the fight is a blur for her, she is only catching glimpses of it while the AI has control of her body. When the battle is ended and Mach1 regains control, her nervous system awakens to the pain of her bleeding wound. The Ai offers to shut off her nerves to end the pain and she agrees. Mach1 asks if she is going to be oki - the AI bargains again, saying it will help her when they get to the access point so she continues there but bleeds out from her wound, we see her blood thick on her hand from where she is holding her self, smeared on the glass as she stumbles, trying not to faint. They get to the access point and while Mach1 is bleeding to death, the AI offers the only help it can - it can transfer her mind into the net with it self. Mach1 agrees just before her body dies and we see flashes of light, possibly her entry into the net as a bodiless spirit. The End. - THAT was the substance.
