$10 DIY Fishing Gaff - Best Gaff You Will Ever Own

This is the best gaff you will ever own, at $10 per gaff I might be over pricing it. Definitely all around gaff for all anglers. This can be used for mahi, tuna, skipjack, wahoo, marlin, salmon, halibut and anything that would fall into that under 80lb range. Im sure it could handle any fish under 100lbs with ease.

My pops used to make ulua gaff and when he needs epoxy in tight places he used disposable syringes! But I guess use whatever works! Mahalo for the tip 🤙🏻

Lenny, fyi, Tractor Supply (and most feed stores) sell these syringes very cheap and different sizes as well. I always pick some up for oiling things or injecting epoxy like your pops in some crazy tight areas. It's cheap and very effective without the mess. Your pops knew what he was doing.. Joe

AWESOME DIY GAFF! I made hand gaffs from paint rollers. Just bend the shaft to a gaff shape and sharpen the end to a point. They are great especially for kayak fishing. Add a lanyard and they work great! I like the Red, White & Blue one! :D

Uncured epoxy can also be removed with white vinegar. Easy on the hands. Thanks for the great idea to use golf clubs!

we used to wrap the hook to the end with cord then epoxy, no need to remove the eye......an old trolling rod or bottom half of a spinning pole works good too but hard to beat a driver shaft, better too if u got a golfer in the family!

If you clean the clubs rubber grip with Fast Orange hand cleaner, it will remove the oils and shiny film from the rubber and restore the grips original tackiness, making it much less slippery, like brand new.
This was a great video and an awesome idea. I just happen to have some older graphite shaft drivers that I am going to convert to gaffs. Thank you for this...
