Thank you for so many unique ideas with this die set! I recently decided I needed to do something productive this year that made my heart feel better after this terrible year I (we ALL) have had. I had lost my job during the beginning of the pandemic and then I was doing the whole distance learning thing with my 3 kiddos and man the depression really kicked into overdrive. Then one day (approx. 6mo ago)I saw your RUclips channel and you were showing these die sets that we can get monthly from Spellbinders and it somehow hit me that I can order the small die set monthly, because it is affordable. Then I would just follow & learn from you and start knocking out cards and find ppl to deliver them to those who need encouragement as much as I do! I have been giving them to nurses, Drs, nursing homes, women's shelters for up coming holidays. (like mothers day recently!) I have to tell you Jackie this has truly changed my outlook on life. By lifting others it has lifted me! So thank you!!! I love how simply you make your walkthroughs or tutorials and you show us we don't have to be rich or professional card makers to make awesome looking cards! I just buy what I can and when I follow your lead the cards always turn out looking fabulous! =) I hope to one day afford the bigger monthly die sets and card kits but you know what? I am just thankful I decided to invest in myself 6months ago the $15 mo!!! Just thought I should finally share with you the impact your videos have had on me. Because who knows, maybe you needed to hear the positive impact you are having in this world? It's a ripple effect. I have been inspired to do something fun and crafty and it has helped pull me out of my downward spiral of self pity and in turn I now am able to put a smile on so many ppls faces and leave an imprint on there hearts. All three cards came out beautiful! I struggle with the colors to use with this kind of a background. I really love the color combinations you used. I have this kit coming soon so your inspiration really got me excited for this kit to arrive!
I am just a novice at card making -when you cut all the different colors from the “land” part of the die, do you have to cover the whole die with paper or can you just cut a piece that only covers the “sliver” that you want? I heard you say that you had lots of pieces left over for more cards and that is why I am wondering. Thank you.
Hi Pamela, You can just cut out the section or sliver that you want. The only reason I cut out a lot was so I could put more cards together later. :) Happy crafting!

Thank you. Didn’t know if it cuts your plates or something if you run a die without paper covering the cutting ridges.
