Started many businesses since graduating from college back in ‘01. And they don’t try due to a lack of self-confidence, drive/motivation n work ethic. Without those things nobody’s leaving their comfort zone, walkin away from their 9-5 pay-nothing job to step out on their own n take their shot. They’re terrified of failing. Cause there’s no one else to blame if they fail. I hate that people think that way, cause most can do it. But they get so much negativity from all directions they start to believe they can’t. And they’re right in a way. All the haters sayin they can’t do it- well those idiots are right. THEY can’t do it. But the only reason you couldn’t is if you listen to them. I thrive on hearing “it can’t be done.” Some say it’s not a good way to be. But those idiots aren’t doin shit with their lives, so they should prolly focus on their own problems- more than enough there to keep em busy. And meanwhile I’ll just go on doin what I do- outta spite- and winning! At the end of the day it’s like H.L. Hunt said, “Decide what you want. Decide what you’re willing to exchange for it. Establish your priorities and go to work.” 😂

Yeah I wish I had a job that would let me afford to buy a house. I also wish I lived in America where pentioners overall wealth takes up 2/3s of the same global metric and with one of the highest GDPs there is. Maybe then it would be easier to think of 'investments' and being 'financially literate' instead of scraping by to make ends meet and cover living expenses.
Don't get me wrong I find the message appealing and I have yet to listen to the last 2 hours. This book sometimes comes off as a ramblings of a boomer who lived probably in the most prosperous era in history in the most wealthy country at the time...

@Gergely Molnár that's unfortunate. You seem like the kind of person that was mentioned multiple times throughout the book. I know it's not just a product of the time period that he grew up, though, or there would be no new millionaires. Yet somehow, there seem to be millionaires at younger and younger ages recently. I think one of the biggest obstacles, like he mentioned, is fear of losing. You're comfortable, and it seems easier to keep doing what you're doing, which is safe, instead of risking failure. I don't blame you, and I'm not knocking you for it. I'm just mentioning that you match, almost exactly, the people in the book who missed out on opportunities for wealth. Best of luck to you
