Hey Steve Just To let You Know RDC 6133 Was Saved By Jason Shron And Rapido Trains And That Hospital Train Video Was Shot on October 15 1992 Which Was After The 1990 cuts To Via Rail Which Saw The Maritimes lose A Huge Portion Of Via Rail Service The Video Shows 15 RDC's And 3 Daynighters Leaving Halifax Station To The Montreal Maintenance Yard The Hospital Train Video Was Already Uploaded To Davids Account
Yes I saw the 6133 video from Rapido.. good on them for preserving one of these classic RDCs. Thanks for the date for the hospital train. I wasn't sure if David had already uploaded a portion of the video; I am uploading his older Video CDs chapter by chapter, so portions of the video CDs may already be online.
My son loves trains especially railcars like those he thinks they are highly underrated and they should be restored, preserved, and used more often. He also thinks that Siemens, Progress Rail, or any other company that builds railroad equipment should build copies of these and the departments of transportation should put them to work on lines that are not used anymore.
Most RDCs are still in use on VIA's eastern network services. Rapido also is planning to aquire more to go with 6133.

In my mind's eye, an RDC doesn't look right without the Pyle-Nation Gyrolight.
Truly miss seeing them in squamish and vancouver island
I used to live in Courtenay, use to see these a lot in fact they went by my house!
The video captures quite nicely how few people were interested in using the train
Where was the last scene filmed? Dead RDC's heading to Moncton?
Mile 13.15 of the CN Bedford subdivision near Halifax, Nova Scotia.
