South Devon Railway - please help us with our appeal during the coronavirus outbreak.

As a result of the coronavirus outbreak, the South Devon Railway, a registered charity, has had to temporarily close down its operations with effect from the middle of March. This is having a very serious impact on us - and we urgently need your help so that we can survive.
So we have launched our appeal for financial support and donations of all sizes from our volunteers, supporters, visitors, lovers of steam and heritage and the general public.
With no revenue coming in from passengers, the South Devon Railway urgently needs the cash help to replace the lost income during this unprecedented period of total uncertainty to ensure that our scenic, quintessential former Great Western Railway branch line can be kept alive for future generations of visitors to enjoy.
Our railway today is born from 50 years of hard work by our volunteers and staff in creating one of the west country's best loved tourist attractions and one of the foremost steam-operated heritage railways in the country.
It is now under threat. Can you spare the fare? We are asking for your help to donate the fare, £16 for adult, £10 for children or £47 for families - or indeed any amount - to help us keep our much loved railway alive.
