Any recommendation for someone in my situation? I fell on my #8 when I was a child. The tooth eventually died and had to be removed. That was around a decade ago (the removal). A year or 2 later I had a bone graft and then an implant. I continued wearing the flipper for 2 or 3 years after the implant was placed because I couldn't yet afford the crown. A year after finally having the crown done, the implant failed. My oral surgeon doesn't know for sure what caused the failure but said that there was dental cement all over the threads of the implant when he went in to remove it, so it may have been the dentist that caused or contributed to it failing. Anyway, the oral surgeon re-did the whole procedure at no charge because he guarantees his work, which was awesome. He did another bone graft last year and finally just had the implant placed again. It's been 12 days since the surgery and it does not feel right. I've had on and off throbbing in the area, a little bit of pain - nothing severe or that causes me to need pain killers but I"m worried about it . It does not feel right. The area still feels stiff and tender too. I know it's only been 12 days but even my oral surgeon seemed a bit concerned when I went in 2 days ago for the follow up. He at least said everything LOOKED good but It feels strange when I touch that part of my face. MY question is, if this thing fails again, I would rather not ever have any more surgeries! I would rather just have the implant removed and wear my flipper for the rest of my life or have a bridge made. The thing is, I've had people telling me that if I don't do something to preserve the bone, this could cause jaw shrinkage, affect my appearance and affect my other surrounding healthy teeth. I don't want that to happen but have felt as though I'm being scared into getting an implant done. Should I attempt it a third time if this second attempt doesn't work out. I don't want to go through it over and over again. Thanks! Sorry this turned into a novel.
I have a front crown I'm unhappy with. Could you possibly redo it? I've seen other dentists and they say its fine but I feel like its misplaced in my mouth and want it redone. I would love to come to your office.
Hi I have a question... I did a filling on one of my bottom teeth and now 2 week later my gum around that tooth that I did the fillin on hurt when I floss but only that area where I had the filling what can be the cause? Also my tooth is sensitive but doesn’t hurt when not eating or drinking anything cold.
I have a temporary caping on my two front teeth which were broken in an accident bit it looks bit yellowish and bigger. Is this normal? Also will my permanent capping be like a normal teeth or crooked ?
What would you recommend for a front tooth that gets a abcess 2 or 3 times a year. Has a slight crack in the middle at the bottom where I believe the bacteria gets in
@@InnovativeDentalofSpringfield I appreciate the reply! So root canal and crown wouldnt be a good route to go or will the implant feel more natural than a crown and last longer?
@@InnovativeDentalofSpringfield The front tooth chipped when I was younger because I used to splice wires and use my teeth to pull the plastic of them. Won't do that again. They made a filling and always had a slight crack ever since..... One last question if you don't mind, I really do appreciate your advice also. Will be my decision in the end.. Will I be able to get invisalign some time in the future with the with a implant and I have erosion on the other front, is it possible to make them look the same after the implant? Really wish I lived in Springfield, your work is amazing and been subscribed and watch all your videos
I have been saving money since the birth of my daughter to have my teeth fixed. My upper teeth have crowding thumb sucking into later years due to abusive step father. I would love to have you take a look and propose a plan.

I would highly recommend that you get the tooth extracted and get an implant based on what you just shared. I wish you the best.

The implant is much more likely to last especially if the tooth is already cracked.

Implants won't move, so I generally prefer to do an invisalign first. ;)
