Hey Josh, to eliminate that hard edge at the top of the blind doors, try attaching raffia to the second stubble strap down and weaving it under the top stubble strap. That way you’ll have some grass covering the straight edge of the blind door.

Sweet set up! We’re currently considering purchasing a similar set up. A guy has two 4-river layout boats already decked out, a trolling motor, a boat dolly and a similar trailer set up for $3,500. Seems like a good deal based on the research to buy everything new.

One quick tip on the raffia. Before putting raffia on my boats/blinds I like to treat the raffia with a hydrophobic fluid which keeps the grass from absorbing water and molding over time. It also helps with weight decrease from water absorption and keeps ice from forming on the boat/blind in the winter months. Again, more weight management plus it helps the grass last even longer. Good luck dude!

How do you keep the grass from getting torn up when hauling the trailer?
