Truly fantastic his punching power is scary. Karate has becoming weak in many Dojos this is a throw back to pure Karate one punch game over. Even at a senior age is power speed is frightening. Respect.

Go to video #2 at 8:15...you'll see one of the training exercises he uses to engage the muscles he deems primary to generating power. He uses more of the muscles of the back and shoulders. Some have criticized his kata as being not elegant, but he comes on like a steamroller...not unlike Masonobu Shinjo.

Para mi, el mejor estilo de karate.
    Golpes contundentes y precisos.
    Una técnica y disciplina única.

I see someone who shouldn’t be there. LoL might wanna check his black belt credentials. I also love the way they train. Was in Okinawa for 18 months and trained in dojo and my life has never been the same. ありがとう

Goju-Riu é o estilo ponto de partida para o Wado-Riu, que é a evolução e o aperfeiçoamento das técnicas dessa nobre arte marcial.

Love this.....Circular movements for the deflection of force away from centre line targets and then strike hard and fast to the weak points and deep breathing for oxygenation of muscles ....????

    • @BelloBudo007

I agree. I have been study Shoto Kan for quite a long time and try to incorporate some ideas about circular movement (from Goju) into my training.

It seems wing chun differs from karate using trapping. As karate seemed to rely on the one strike inflicting damage sufficient to end anything. Then a lot focused on speed. Which equation for power is speed or velocity squared times mass.

Этот "мастер" не может заблокировать даже оговоренный, известный удар. Что будет в реальном бою? "Нахватает" в голову за секунды. Слепой ведет слепых.

Honestly everyone seems to be experiencing/ seeing techniques for the first time ... are these people really black belts?
And only form practice... no sparring.
Plus I see a kid with a black belt ... I am of the believe that black belts should only be given if someone has proven to be able to really fight... the essence of martial arts is fighting not ballet

These are students from the west who have never experienced true Okinawan Karate, which is why they are here to learn from the masters. Modernized Karate like those you'd find in America is flashy and aggressive (not all of them, but a decent amount of them). Martial arts (specifically eastern versions) is exactly that; an art form. It's not supposed to make you a "badass", nor is it supposed to be a means of entertaining guests at a birthday party. Also, a black belt isn't the highest degree you can achieve, there's always more to learn.

Right so after the explanation of the application we are then going to drill them live on each other right? Oh.. nope more air drills... this is why Karate is dieing, because of this nonsense. Omg I just realized I should be a karate grand shihan.. because you would learn way more from me in 1 hour than you would from this entire seminar

You learn more by watching a grandmaster. Practice later.

So you call yourself a karate master and dont know the meaning of working the basics? I think you are not so good karateca like you believe if you make a comment more apropiate for a noob in martial arts or a keywoard warrior.

    • @dwddindin
      @dwddindin 3 года назад +1

Dude not everything is on the surface. There's allot of other stuff he is teaching under what you see. These basics are crucial to the art. Have you ever heard of basic bunkai? In reality you're supposed to make the application when in combat basic bunkai makes the foundation. Trust me if you were to try and use application that's ment for combat without having the fundamentals then it wouldn't work. Trust me this stuff Is useful. The more you try to male something practical the more it gets farther away from being "practical"
