Chapter Boss: Doopliss (as Mario)
HP: 40 - Attack: 4 - Defense: 0
- Attempting to beat Doopliss before Vivian shows up is impossible, because he'll just use another Life Shroom.
- Once Vivian shows up, the battle resumes as normal. Doopliss has the same boring moves as Mario, but you also have to deal with your partners attacking you.
- Your partners don't retain any boosts from badges, but they do retain their boosted HP if you boosted them with Shine Sprites through Merlon. On the other hand, they don't use anything past their basic attacks...and they don't give EXP., but feel welcome if you want to punish them for their lack of brains.
- Defeat Doopliss to reclaim the Crystal Star and learn Art Attack, which is a pretty deadly attack if you can circle enemies multiple times.
- At least your expressive partners look like they're shocked here, unlike in the GCN version.
