if you comment complaining about the mixing i will doxx you. it genuinely sounds fine to me, and i’ve also never watched a video where i didn’t have to turn it down at certain places and turn it back up a minute later so goodluck watching all videos forever i guess. Also. i’m not a fucking youtuber, i literally screen record these and press post, why these videos get so many views idk. But don’t comment complaining about the quality like i have any sort of way to fix that lmfao, if you wanna drop some editing apps then fine, but if you complain i’m coming to ur house and robbing you. okay bye.
Please don’t comment “why didn’t you include x clip” it’s a pet peeve and drives me nuts lol, if i didn’t include a clip you think i should’ve it’s either bc i forgot or bc it just didn’t apply to the prompt of the vid!
also please don’t comment asking for links! i will provide links where i can but other than that i will put where you can find them. ok bye!
For context, i wanted to include only clips where BRENNAN is being confrontational or saying “this person sucks fuck them” But also included clips of him voicing his opinions on people who he thinks sucks thru character. So i didn’t include a bunch of characters from d20 bc they aren’t always examples of his organic (healthy ofc) aggression.
okay that’s it :3 ty for vibing

Brennan basically mugging a dude for breaking his friend's glasses while the dude's friends ditched him is probably the funniest story I've heard in my entire life
No but fr, when he reminded us about the moustache I legitimately couldn't breathe for a solid 30 seconds. What an incredible guy.

"Roll for initiative"
I was enjoying it, and then he said "you gotta remember, full blue handlebar mustache" and I friggin lost it

Why doesn't Brennan drink?
Brennan Lee Mulligan, in real life, defeats a “bandit” and cannot physically restrict himself from “looting” them from decades of RPG conditioning. What a legend
There are people who are just instinctively nice, and then there are people who have made a calculated choice to be nice because they believe that most people deserve to be treated nicely.
You don’t wanna fuck with the latter.
That "most" is doing some heavy lifting.
Holy shit, that's poetry.
Truer words, truer words...
When you’re one first and then you figure out you have to be the other one to survive is usually how that works
Sources personal experience
@@Lucifersfursona Same here. Realized that being nice doesn't always work. Sometime you gotta be nasty! Also you don't break someone's glasses. The glasses industry is fucked up, I have to pay like $400 for glasses.
@@Xhalph Minor disagreement. ‘Deserve’ has been doing the most lifting, ever, because it means something different to everyone who uses it.
Like, ‘deserve’ implies that it’s ‘earned,’ and that circles to capitalistic mentality where one is allowed or denied decency according to biased whim, as opposed to just _being_ decent as a default, no?
That first story about the guy "taking the piss", as a person from a British colony where we do routinely take the piss I can tell you that guy was just bad at it. Like at the very least you're meant to be somewhat witty about it, incorporate knowledge of the person and show that you're familiar enough to take the piss in the first place. Just indiscriminately calling someone's girlfriend ugly isn't it. Then he makes it everyone else's problem with the standard gaslighting, "You're too sensitive," line.
Yeah that breaks the unwritten rules of banter. You're supposed to take the piss out of the person, not the people or things they care about. He should have said "fucking hell you're punching above your weight" or something to that effect
@@DannyEastes That's actually perfect lol, the underhanded compliment is the way to go.
One time I told my British boss that I was dating someone and he immediately asked "What color is their seeing-eye dog?" That's solid piss-taking.
Yeah as a Brit myself if I think what Ive said as a piss take has legitimately upset someone I apologize. I don't want to hurt anyone's feelings. I just want to make fun and for them to do the same to me. But I wouldn't stoop to calling someone's partner a dog. That's uncalled for
The way East Coast Americans and British people do comedic insincerity and confrontational banter is different, and both can be sensitive to the other kind because they’re unfamiliar with it.
Doesn’t mean either of them are actually over-sensitive.
If anything I admire Brennan more now, dude knows when to commit a felony for the right reasons. I can only aspire to this.
If you want to get cucked and your partner/wife is down I am happy to help you achieve your aspirations 😉😘
Eh, laws are fake anyway. Do the right thing.

@@fenixmeaney6170 It's still, legally, robbery. There are legal avenues you have to take in order to be reimbursed by an unwilling party.
Now, I will say, I fully condone shaking this dude down and robbing him. Being an aggressive, stupid dickhead has a cost.
@@fenixmeaney6170 You can argue morality until the end of time.
However, from the legal standpoint its very much robbery. Forcibly paying for property damage can only be enforced by an official court after all sides have had their cases heard. You cannot legally demand someone pay what you think they owe you at the threat of violence, that's robbery.
@@fenixmeaney6170 Yeah, as the other guy said, robbery is a legal term.
The lesson here is that not all felonies are evil acts. Doesn't make them any less felonious.

Imagine being your own whole person with a core memory of getting fucking decimated by college age Brennan Lee Mulligan wearing a blue handlebar mustache, and then like. Opening RUclips one day. Or getting into DnD. Genuinely what must that life be like
I doubt that guy is whole after that
@@shotosynthesis312 I genuinely think he might've thought about his life choices after that. He talked shit, got beat up in front of his friends, and then they abandoned him. That's a pretty good way to start thinking your life over
I believe this is what the kids describe as "fuck around and find out".
It would be like getting your ass beat by Mr. Rogers, no?
Like, imma be honest here, with a lowlife grifter like that, I highly doubt he lived long enough to witness Brennen’s ascension into dropout formally college humor
Shouting “COWARD!” after the running crustpunk you just beat the shit out of is so fucking funny
It’s so damn perfect
As someone who works with kids, I absolutely love "We made up the rules." Every single kid ever born is a real life rules lawyer. They will twist the exact wording of any rule to try to get what they want. Most of the time it's harmless, but I am absolutely stealing "we made up the rules" if I ever run into a kid trying to be a little shit like the one in Brennan's story.
I have used something like this on all four of my children. It usually manifests as 'if you would someday like to make the rules you need to be better than average' My wife was uncomfortable with the idea at first but it appears to work. And my youngest are twins...they will negotiate and twist on everything, as a team!
It's something I occasionally use both with the kids I work with - but also people being little shits in communities for which I moderate. They do something that is TECHNICALLY within the rules, but very much going against the spirit of it. They try saying "oh, but I didn't break any rules!" And I just say "no, you didn't, but you're clearly testing the limits of them and trying to see if you can get me to react in the 'wrong' way, according to the rules. You're doing this, despite knowing better, but here's a little secret: unlike you, I am allowed to break the rules. And if you are KNOWINGLY rude, spiteful, and annoying, I will be much, much worse in response, because you have the follow the rules when being annoying; I don't."
"You don't drink, you're not Catholic, you're AT LEAST gonna fight" God I identify with that quote so much.
Brenna's Adventuring Academy story about that bully kid who provoked another and got pissed that "they weren't following the rules" is such massive Reddit energy.
r/amitheasshole
AITA for getting mad after a kid beat me up?
So, like the title says, I was at a summer camp and I was just having a laugh with another kid at camp. He wasn’t the sharpest tool in the shed so I would poke fun at him from time to time but it was just harmless fun. One day, though, as I’m talking to this kid he, completely unprovoked, starts punching me hard. I got up and immediately some counselors came over and I explained to them what happened. For context, at this camp violence is incredibly frowned upon and you should get sent home for being violent. This kid, however, didn’t get sent home and this is where I’m wondering if I’m the asshole. I got mad and complained to the counselors that it was against the rules for that kid to not be sent home, but they just told me that that’s how institutions work and some other bs. So reddit, am I the asshole?
Let’s note a couple things here, the above post doesn’t mention anything about how the kid responded *before* getting violent, and the poster downplays their own actions heavily. I also use the phrase harmless fun to put in the reader’s mind how the violence is totally an overreaction. I also add in a subtle concession by saying, “this is where I’m wondering if I’m the asshole” to make it look like I’m genuinely considering whether I’m in the wrong when I’m clearly not depicting that way, putting an idea of “fairness” in my reader’s mind. These are common tricks people use to skew stories in their favor by bending the truth. There’s always two sides to a story and contrasting this with brennan’s description of the situation can lend itself heavily to understanding how the story *actually* played out.
“We made up the rules” is such a raw line that that kid is gonna remember his whole life
@@smartaleckduck4135NTA your camp your rules
Then imagine knowing about the bullying for a long time and letting it continue that long. The fact that none of the staff did anything about the bullying even though they knew about it just makes them( yes, even Brennan) look bad.
It’s a really difficult situation for the camp staff. We had an issue at my two week day camp last summer, and it’s more complicated than you might think. You have to talk to the parents, try different things to see if you can get them to stop, and talk to the administrators/people with more authority in the camp about what they’ve done in the past to handle things. The rules might not be made for that specific situation, so they might not have broken them by being mean to the other kids.
The counselors often don’t have the ability to say when someone has crossed the line and won’t be allowed back so it requires a constant game of telephone with the people that do. It took almost a week of parent complaints, and one girl refusing to be in the same room as him, before this kid was taken out of our camp and honestly it could’ve been longer. Easily.
The line "1. We made the rules" goes so hard.
the thing to me about the first story is that the british guy framed the joking insult as taking the piss out of someone, but he didn't do it to the person he was *talking* to. he did it to someone *that person cares about*. and i feel like most people are not going to take very kindly to that. like i'm not the kind of person who would enjoy someone trying to bond by being mean, but my threshold for "things i won't make a big deal out of" vs "things you'll get your ass beat over, verbally and/or physically" is very different for when people are talking about me as compared to when they're talking about people i care about.
I was gonna comment this. If somebody called me a dog's breakfast I would laugh it off. If somebody called my girlfriend a dog's breakfast I would ask them to step outside.
Yeah, like if he had said something like “wow, she’s way out of your league!” That would’ve have been a good joke, but if you call her ugly? Especially behind her back? Yeah that’s out of line
as a brit, can confirm that those are fighting words in britain too. he's not taking the piss he's just being a dick
@@stevenc4982what I've learned is that taking the piss when talking about something/someone the person you're doing it to cares about, you make it a kinda insult to them rather than the thing/person they care about
There's something intense about stories of the nicest people alive absolutely losing their cool. That last story is especially impactful, hearing how someone who apparently intends to embody a stereotype of violence getting their shit kicked in by and running away from someone with a blue moustache drawn on his face.
The legend of the Blue Handlebar Bandito lives on.
Brennan taking that jacket off in the old man clip was so true to how old guys move - I swear my grandpa has made that exact movement before lol
he really managed to nail the movement style of an old man with arthritis in every single one of his joints and it contrasts wonderfully with the language he's using
The juxtaposition of the cat photo and the luck spot story is incredible
I find Brennan's mugging story fascinating... The way the fight or flight reflex works is so interesting, and the way panic might cause a completely calm nice person to lash out like that... The human body is scary like that
guys im so normal about this man i promise
Hard same

Yeah yeah, totally. Same here. Fully normal, I swear.
Brennan is living breathing proof that not all kind people are pacifists. There’s a running rhetoric that being compassionate is the same as being a pushover and this man is doing the most to disprove it
"I'd rather be a warrior in a garden than a gardener in a war."
“You can’t truly call yourself a pacifist unless you’re capable of great violence, if you’re not capable of violence you’re not a pacifist, you’re harmless”
@@sourdrop "A harmless man is not a good man. A good man is a very dangerous man who has that under voluntary control."
God that last story... like technically that's robbery but if I was on the jury it wouldn't be. Honestly it's such a wholesome story though. The part that really gets me about it is that Brennan got implicit permission to fight, and as soon as he did he was off to the races. To me that's genuinely a sign of someone who is really respectful of others. He was defending his friend and only escalated to violence when it was invoked by the other party. Then the rest of his reasoning follows: hit the guy because you assume he's a threat; stop hitting him when it becomes obvious he's not; get the money because your friend needs it; REASON with the guy about why fighting is a bad idea which is a very kind thing to do in the Evan Kelmp sense of it; only stop chasing the guy when it's obvious it's not worth it. Calling out "COWARD" in a knightly manner after all that may be some nerd shit but it is also extremely powerful. The really devastating part of that story is how he showed the guy that he didn't actually have any real friends. That's the kind of humiliation that gives someone like that an opportunity to change. I enjoyed that story immensely.
Well said, friend. 🙂
"if you complain i’m coming to ur house and robbing you."
Okay, you can't do that. That's a felony.
this is maybe one of my favorite comments i’ve gotten on a video so far. ty for this gem.
Only if it gets documented. 😊
I love how my response when I punched a bully was the opposite of and yet the same as the bully's response in the story. "What do you mean you're not punishing me?! Shouldn't I be punished?! But what about the rules! You can't let people go around punching other students!"
the last time i ever got bullied in school i turned around and hit him in the face, immediately walked off to the vice principals office, and the vp congratulated me. never in my life have i ever felt such vindication.
That's something you only learn later in life - there's only so much adults can do when a kid is constantly being a bully to others, especially when that kid is *technically* not breaking any rules. And they can't openly rejoice when some other kid finally snaps and the bully gets their comeuppance, but moments like that are crucial in a childs development - when they realize that their actions have consequences, and you're not invulnerable within the rules if you're just outright being an asshole.
Yeah for me I just know there are some times in which an asshole just needs to be humbled physically.
@@darrienjones8917 Correct, but teenage me didn't realise that. I also didn't realise I was being abused. I still had a lot to learn.
I work with kids. It's a fine line, because we obviously don't ever want kids hurting one another. But sometimes kids need to learn that bullying their peers has consequences. There have been plenty of times when a kid gets punched and my internal reaction is "yes, of course that happened, you were being terrible and so somebody stood up to you." The hard part is to talk it through with them and get them to the point where they realize that on their own.
I love Brennan fighting the dude then trying to loot him😂

“the only thing is the time you spend with the people you love… and i don’t wanna spend time with you any more… don’t want anyone else to either, so i’m gone getcha” had me laughing so hard i had to pause😂😂😂
The moment where you realize your fist is flying through the air is usually one that I am too drunk too notice. He really was possessed by the spirit of Ireland
The whole “if this guy pops up, it’s gonna end bad” is a mindset I very much carry everywhere I go. I watch people on tv and movies punch someone in defense and only do it once, letting the person who’s obviously aggressive and more experienced in fighting get up, and then they get their ass whooped cause they’ve missed the chance to actually make sure the guy stays down and has no chance of attacking again. If it comes to it, I’m flailing until the person is unconscious or dead, cause I ain’t dealing with them coming back at me. I’d only go as far as dead if they had actually attempted to physically assault me, obviously, but you get the point.
Yeah this is an actual thing as well. I've been doing karate for 3 years and most of the self defense we do seem like such overkill to a single attack being thrown at you, but the fact is most of us who take these classes, arent violent people who love fighting and constantly getting into fights. You hit that person until you are reasonably certain that person will not be getting back up and attacking you before you can run, causes chances are they are much more expierience in fighting than you are, no matter what belt rank you are, and if they get the jump on you, its gonna be really hard to get the lead back. Groin diaphragm and nose are good places to aim for as they cause the most pain/disorientation and will give you the most time to run.
You might like Enders Game if you haven't read it already
@idothisforfun3005 I second this recommendation
sth like this happened to my dad once as well. there was some minor mishap in traffic between this guy and my dad. the guy got mad and got out of the car and my dad stupidly got out of his car as well because he thought the guy just wanted to talk and my dad just wanted to apologize. but when he walked up to the guy he very quickly realised that this dude had every intention to fucking fight him. so my dad thought "i can't let this guy beat me up, i gotta get home to my wife and kids and this guy might have a knife on him." so he threw the first punch before the other guy could. at this point the guys girlfriend had gotten out of the car as well and my dad handed her his phone or whatever, so he could have his hands free. so this girl was willingly holding my dad's stuff while he was beating up her boyfriend. i don't usually approve of voilence but i laugh my ass off every time i think about this story because if you know my dad you'd never think he would beat someone up.

Yeah he better have f'ing got a nickname lol
According to his telling, the blue moustache painted that night was a reference to a previous party when a blue moustache had been drawn on to his face and he’d hooked up with someone. That would have been an exceedingly eventful night if it had all happened!

I love Brennan just calling an absolutely random guy "COWARD!!" Like the fucking medievil king he basically is.
another point about 5:50 (and btw I love all this) is that you can't just set traps for people to break the rules and not expect that to backfire. Anyone with true morals will see that you're abusing the system and make exceptions for you. Rules are guidelines, not physics.
Unless you're the school system where bully victims get punished WITH the bully

His first reaction wasn't violence though, he was kind, twice. The dude made it clear there was going to be a fight/problem, Brennan isn't a fighter so he knew if he didn't throw the first punch he probably wasn't going to get up. Add on the fact the dude likely would mug you, stab you, or shoot you, and he beat him while he was down to ensure his safety.
He didn't immediately react with violence, but as soon as he realized talking wasn't going to work his body kicked into action and started punchin
Precious almond 😂😂😂😂😂
not to be parasocial but he’s literally the guy ever
"Do you know what crustpunk are?" Homeless and proud of it.
There is nothing more I love on RUclips than when I find a random Brennan Lee mulligan clip from something I haven’t seen yet and spends hours scouring the Internet to find them and enjoy, you help me find 2 new precious experiences ❤
Brennan is the only man i can hear say "I'm sorry, I didn't mean to almost punch you to death and take your money" and believe it
I love the line "You have generations of strength in your bones!"
Brennan Lee Mulligan basically saying “thems are fightin’ words” made my day
"AHH! YOU HAVE GENERATIONS OF STRENGTH IN YOUR BONES!" ~Dead Child
I've never read someone's wikipedia page and had a smile of genuine delight when I found out Brennan found love and got married this year. For someone I've never met have I felt so much love for a person.
"People think I'm a nice guy, but I just _conform to the gEnRE!"_
I am fully going to use the “we made up the rules” as a teacher.
Brennan living up to that "anger of a gentle man" quote.
staring at a cute cat while listening to Brennan's retelling of a street confrontation is somehow very fun.
"Ya don't drink, yer naut Cath-lic, yull at least foight, yer gonna foight"
I'm ashamed to say I've been the kind of kid Brennan described getting punched in the face at Camp, and honestly I kind of wish I'd had a Brennan back then to give me *exactly* that talking to. Kids who use their words and insight into other kids insecurities to bully them, knowing that if the other kid retaliates physically they 'win', need to learn sooner than I did that shit doesn't fly in the adult world.
Well, if it makes you feel better Brennan did a video with UROK about how he had reacted to bullying by lashing out at others and becoming one. Sometimes you learn and grow enough as a person to help people not make the same mistakes.
Ohoho man. the part with the guy calling over his friends for a fight and they just keep walking is awesome. they've realized this guy is taking things WAY too far.
Brennan Lee Mulligan as a camp counselor gives me big Jawbone vibes.
i love this so much thank you💖💖💖
"Ye don't drink... Yer not Catholic... You'll at least foight!" is now my favourite quote for the next time I have to console a friend after getting dragged into a scrap by a raging asshole.
As soon as Brennan said "did you just break my friends glasses?!?" I had the urge to smash a punks head into a wall lol
I love Brennan so much. He’s such a great guy and so fucking good at what he does.
Also, as a crust punk, very few of us are like that. Most of the punks I know look scary but are just the sweetest kindest people ever. That’s not we’re like or about at all, those were just assholes
exactly even the friends were clearly not co-signing either because they walked away instead of joining the fight. Big punk solidarity over here.
Yeah dito. Been a gutterpunk most my life, I would have absolutely helped stomped that assholes head in, we don't need that in the scene giving us a bad name.
yeah the nyc / new school crust punk is a very particular and nasty breed. kids at a private university whose parents pay full tuition *and* their rent so they can fuck around without consequence. don’t get me wrong; i’m a born n raised new yorker with friends at tns and in the punk scene - its specifically the entitled transplant crust punk facade with none of the strong punk ethics that gets to me
@@wizardzimbim It's important to remember they were way off in the distance, too. It didn't seem like they were or WANTED to be involved with what was going on at all in the first place.
yeah the vibe i got (and to be fair i’m
only making this assumption based off of brennan’s retelling of the story) was that punk kid was a particularly shitty apple within the crust punk scene, looking for excuses to fight people under the guise of being “punk”
the way his friends walked away tells me that he’s done it before and they want no part in it.
I love that brennan fully robbed a guy and that's in his lore
"My irish answers possessed me, 'you dont drink-youre not catholic- YOURE GONNA FIGHT"
Brennan: “I’m a very peaceful guy”
Also Brennan: this compilation
Even most punks hate crustpunks. They are annoying more than anything but the whole "I love to fight" crap is so recognisable.
Caduceus pfp :0???
@@maxfitz8577 Yes! Love my silly cemetery boy
I thought Brennan was just about to mug this guy for a sec until he said “you are gonna pay for my friends glasses”
I now need someone to animate Brennan’s Blue Bandido story
Sorry but Brennan's story about beating the shit out of a guy for breaking his friend's glasses and then demanding money for them, all while wearing the blue mustache, never fails to make me a little gay. Like if I were present I would've fallen in love with the man on the spot, it's unmatched levels of good vibes.
"DON'T CALL ME SIR!"
"Okay, Mister...?" is so me coded 😭
I like how Brennan's last story proves the point I would bring up in relation to his first story.
People have wildly different reactions to an action when it is done to them or to another person. Brennan was willing to let being shoulder checked go, but the moment the guy hurt his friend man went berserk. I know some guys who would hesitate to swing at you if you actually hit them, but if you said a single wrong word about their dog they would break you like Bane broke Batman.
