This Is Who We Are - Rehearsal Tapes 002 (27-Dec-2024)

Hard at work scoring, programming, rehearsing tracks for The Shadowmaker Live Show World Premiere on February 8th in Denver. Clock is ticking!!
The track you hear is 'This Is Who We Are', taken from The Shadowmaker album and released as a single on January 7th 2025.
This is an incredibly complex beast to put together - whilst my wife Chele is working 16 hour days editing documentary footage from over 30 hours of video, I am constantly going to & fro between Ableton Live and Dorico (Steinberg's scoring software) and creating manuscripts of every track. I'm also creating hundreds of automated program changes to accompany the songs in the set for vocal sounds, FX and keyboards ... not to mention extracting drums parts for each track and sending them to Jez back in the UK for him to practise. On top of that we are working on creating a ton of visual content, some from my own archives, some created using a combination of Midjourney, Runway and GPT.
And I have to be able to perform the songs!!
It's a steampunk juggernaut of moving parts, friends.
The World Premiere is in Denver on 8th February 2025 at MCA Denver's Holiday Theatre. I hope you can join Chele, Jez and myself for an evening of emotive music and heartfelt storytelling. It's going to be something special!

After this, you're going to have many new perspectives on music that you will construct going forward. That's the true meaning of your legacy, but your story isn't finished yet. It's only begun. 💪
