Know that I too am listening to Tupac for the first time (with you) and aprieciate your perspective and connection to your lives experience (humble not bragging). My comment here is added to your most recent post I could find. The connection WE JUST HAD happened just minutes ago. I was just watching your 2Pac So Many Tears Reaction when I decided to make a request of a band I listened to from their start in the 90's. Alice in Chains was one of many new bands I loved but never dug deep into their story. I saw them live lallopoluza 93 in St.Paul MN indoors (due to floods). Alice in Chains set was 2nd to last and "ROCKED THE HOUSE"!! Then... PRIMUS (another new band to me) closed the show and "BLEW THE FUCKING ROOF OFF THE CIVIC CENTER"! So much so my memory of all the awesome bands I saw that day, the last two sets IS my memory of that day. As I start my comment request (still listening to 2Pac) YOU mention Layne Staley and Alice In Chains. I'm thinking now that's weird (coo) but GETS BETTER! The request I'm making is specific to the MTV UNPLUGGED ALICE IN CHAINS Live video (not just the audio). I first watched this for the first time just a couple years ago. I had listened to most of their music and new most songs. I only heard of Layne's death but did not inquire details. I've spoken these exact words to friends when I say that watching Unplugged and seeing Layne and Jerry harmonize vocals with the deep bass and "in the pocket" drums... It "MOVED MY SOUL"! And as I am thinking this and have said before I hear you speak these exact words! It does to this day as I cranked it up while singing in the shower this morning (I sound like a sic dog). All these songs I've heard over and over yet this was different, special, and connected me to the band on a personal level. So my comment is here hoping you read this as a thank you for what you do, opening doors to music people might never have heard otherwise. I love the old school but you should also try some new school rap, not sure if it’s your jam but you should give it a try! Lil Durk is my favorite rapper of all time, Eminem, Dre, Tupac included. You should give him a try on your own time maybe
