Well, my laser printer gave up on me and I again was on the lookout for a printer that would effectively help save costs in the long run. Ink-tank printers being the in thing now with its claim of being able to save money in the longrun, I picked up the Canon Pixma G3010 an inktank color printer with wireless capabilities. Very clear review. As it's one year since you've had this printer, any updates on the print yield? Does it print a high volume as Canon claims?
The ink is only half way through, I don't print much so it will last me longer. I have printed a few A4 photo prints too and it's still working great.

Had researched between all these printers and the Canon seemed to have the most compatability with more paper sizes and types. For normal use they should be similar.

When i give command to print photo it passes the sheet quickly and doesn't even to print.
Full blank photo sheet comes out instantly.
What could be the problem?
If you've not used the printer for some time the nozzle might be clogged, you might have to run a ink flush via the maintenance option within windows for it to be cleaned.
How can I connect this G3010 pixma to wifo network so that I dont have to connect directly to printer where as it will work directly as connected to wifo network !!

I'm using the canon 3010 for the past few months and it prints colour really well, and I could print photographs on photo paper too . They should all be similar, but as I've used and had no problems with the canon can recommend it .

Hi, all ink tank printers work well, but if you need a sticker cutting machine there is the Cricut Maker. Have printed photos on photo paper and also on standard a4 paper and they work well. Stickers specifically I have not tried.

It can print on any material an inkjet printer can. Just make sure it is supported by ink jet printers.

It shows duplex printing is available, but I've not tried it.

I tried turning the printer off and the power on light just keeps on flashing, how long will it take for it to stop? I want to unplug it but the power light must be completely off. Also, is there any way that I can turn it on after turning it off? Well the flashing of the power light does not stop.
Open the top cover and check if the tubes have the colour within them. Close and hit the copy button and see if it stops flashing and starts copying what you put in the photo copy tray.
@@TalkingstuffNet yes the tubes have the color within them but the printer does not function. after it automatically turned off, the power light keeps on flashing and the screen has this rotating 0 only. i tried to keep it plug overnight, hoping that it might turn off in the morning but it did not. i cannot turn it on as well. i need to plug it off but that would not be advisable since there's still a flashing light. anyway, thank you for the response!

Did you install the Canon software? It has options to brighten the image before printing.

I have not used the g2012 , but the manual should show if it's compatible and the printer should have WiFi for it to work.
My ink tubes are full but only cyan and black arenlnprinted. I have tried DEEP CLEANING but still no colors. Pls help.
Deep cleaning should have helped, did you try the clean nozzle option too?

Hi, I have not used the Brother Printer so cannot honestly comment on it. The Canon G3010 works well for my use case though.

When I was checking between hp and canon, both are great for home use but if you're running a business the felixbility to use more media (paper, plastic etc) types is better on the canon.

Kodak 180gsm photomprint gives wheel roller print lines kindnof perforation innphoto output..but canon guy brought 275gsm there is no imprint.. why paper GSM model u using ..did u face issue in photo print in lower GSM like 180
I don't have the main cover of the photo-paper anymore , I think I purchased 200gsm and I have had no problems with roller lines as shown in the video.

Double sided printing is possible, but not automatically. You need to manually flip the paper.

Hi, I haven't calculated like that as I print very less. But Canon says 9 paise (Black & White), 32 paise (Colour).
Can i photocopy long bond paper?
Not in one shot, you might need to take another scan after moving it up a bit and then join. It's easier to use the phone to scan.

Does it have mirror printing?
It cannot directly print on a mirror(glass), but you can flip the image horizontal to print on paper or for transfer sheets to print on T-Shirts.
how to print from the computer ?????
Just connect using a usb cable, the drivers would be installed and it would be accessible. If you want to print wirelessly, then you would use your laptops WiFi direct feature and connect to the printer and then print.
If we will not use for 2 month.... Ink will be dry or not?????
I use it very rarely, but as ink is in the tanks I think it might not. But no guarantee it might not dry out in the nozzle.
How many gsm's can I print with this? Someone said I need to use a specialty paper for photopaper, can I use any brands of photopaper??
I've used multiple types, even canvas photo paper and it printed well. Any brand photopaper can be used. I have used kodak photo paper for glossy prints and canvas ones for framing my photos.

They show all paper supported in the specifications. I haven't tried 300 gsm paper.

If you keep unused for too many months it can have slight problem in first print, but after that it works.
What type of ink is that?
It's standard inkjet printer ink, the only advantage is that you don't need to throw away a print head everytime the ink is up. This makes it much cheaper to refill.

It's fine, not that clear but it's ok.

Make sure you have print in colour option set in the print settings. (Or uncheck print in grayscale if on)

Make sure the drivers are installed, the printer is then available under import option in Photoshop or paint. If you install the canon suite of apps it has a scan app itself.

I've not tried the E4270 , check out reviews of the same. The Canon G3010 is working well for me for my use case which is occasional prints for the kids , work and also colour photo prints.
Sir I install my printer but the problem is 2 of the ink pipes not filled with ink ..

Are all tanks full of ink. There's a way to get the printer to fill with ink again, press the screwdriver button once, then the + button until it shows number 10. Then press the color copy button. This will cause the Pinter to refill the Inks. if it still doesn't work then you might have to get a replacement printer. Did you remove the stickers on both printer heads?
@@TalkingstuffNet actually one of the pipes not filled with any ink ....i order it from Flipkart and today only I recieved it ... Out of 4 pipes 3 are filled with ink but one is completely empty 🤔
Sir black pipe don't have any ink though I filled the blank ink tank perfectly !
Try the maintenance modes, 10 is to refill ink.

Not sure as I'm still using it , don't trust the number completely, it will depend on what you're printing too, more items on page the ink will finish faster. The number is a mix of simple text and images in the same page and not full page color or b/w prints.

Hmm, I have not tried that. I filled all the inks provided in the box and only then started to use it. Only when the colour ink finishes will I be able to test that 😅

Ibe not used the Hp 516, but the canon g3010 is working well for me, only problem is that if you don't use it for a long time you need to run a nozzle cleaning using the maintenance menu.

Make sure to print once in a while, if left for a couple of weeks without printing you will need to run a nozzle cleaning via the printer settings.
