Honestly, checking out the website for Jen and Dianne is very funny. Dianne’s is a very basic website. They talked about their experience in being involved in several committees before elected and also talked about what they have done while in office. Jen on the other hand is a more expensive looking website and videos and photos of her with several different people and talking about how she will be “a voice for parents”. Jenn is trying to run a big campaign which is not what people voting for the school board want. If they care that much about the municipal level of politics, they care more about what the person can do.
The way Jennifer acted during the refrigerator tour it was obvious she knew that stuff was there and wanted to play it up for the cameras. She was a bad actress lol.

Oof... Moms for liberty... After seeing her talking at the school board, I was certain I had heard those talking points before...
"Mom's for fascism" if you ask me
@@david2727lol yeah keeping porn and sex out of elementary schools is so much fascism… good lord some of you people cannot be helped
@david2727 Yeah, because not wanting sexually explicit, and books that are not age appropriate in schools is fascism. Spare us hysteria ...

Daughter was so entitled and toxic, Jen was fake and overly dramatic acting like cutting prime rib was life and death, man this place was a complete disaster. I always feel bad for the staff at these places and wish they would be able to find employment elsewhere with how bad these owners normally treat them.
I’m absolutely stunned that this one is still open. I thought for sure this one wasn’t going to have that outcome. Good on Saki and Jennifer for proving me wrong!
I looked at their instagram page yesterday and the food looks really good and the guests seem to enjoy the restaurant!
Man who thinks with his nethers and woman who doesn't think at all. It's a miracle they didn't make it to 60 years of a happy marriage lmao.
Right???
"where she was backed by moms for liberty" oh...ooooooooh NOOOOOOOOOOOO
yeah... that was my thought and the Maga cap soon after, was the final nail
@@WalterWhite-jz7ct oh no she has political opinions I don't agree with. Grow up, people are allowed to have opinions and to try to campaign on them. Nothing she said was bad either, like oh no she wants to prevent kids from being exposed to sexual content, how diabolical.
@@tombolt13thexehanort29 If those "opinions" deny people the right to exist, I have a fucking problem with it, smartass. The whole "Live and let Live" approach simply doesn't work if you're talking about a country that had 400+ laws agains LGBT in 2023 alone
"she wants to prevent kids from being exposed to sexual content" sounds good on paper and perfect for them to spin however they want (as they have in the past, every chance they got), making telling kids that Gay people exist, suddenly illegal and before you know it, Trans people can't be in 300 feet of a School. Read what "project 2025" is and then tell me that she is on the right side
@@tombolt13thexehanort29 Oh no, someone is critical of a person who supports a destructive fascist ideology. Grow up.
@@tombolt13thexehanort29 Uh no. That's what they're claiming they're doing. But actually look at the books they're trying to get banned, like Last Night at the Telegraph Club where their "sexual content" is a vaguely described kiss... in a book intended for teens. Though the main character is gay so we all know that's the real issue. They're literally going after books that cover things teenagers go through so that teenagers can't read them. Books written to help navigate that time for the dumbest reasons like it might have the word ass in it.
All it is, is repackaged Satanic panic, it's not enough to control what their kids read which she does by taking her kid to private school they want control over what other people's kids are allowed to read.
Not surprising the woman who lied to get a job she's woefully unqualified for and then married for financial advantage fell in with the MAGA crowd. Also you grow up, yes you're allowed to have opinions even shitty ones but a right to an opinion isn't a right to not be judged or criticised for it.
By the way if you actually believed what you said you'd be a hypocritical right now by criticising their political opinions you don't agree with. The idea we should never criticise or judge opinions is very dumb.
Unfortunate that one of the only restaurants still alive from KN went from "hot spot" to "boycott".
Color me shocked the gold digger left Saki!!!!
He was. He had another child with her
Yes..take the tiniest sip of the martini.
"I can't wait to try this..."
Of course she is running in politics, because she displayed so much competency. Everybody should fear someone like this having any political power.
If she runs in a deep red district wee are further screwed.
Man this was beyond predictable. She gets her hands on the restaurant, is set for life and now dumps him. Gold digger much? Her entitled daughter scolding him on the episode was so ridiculous. I've eaten here; I noticed that Jennifer HATES bad reviews and she attacked me when we thought the food was overpriced and not as good as the prices they were charging were; she's very much into being seen on social media and adores the attention. She acts like a kid at times. Her trying to be on the school board was ridiculous when her daughter goes to private school. Saki is now left to deal with this no talented lady for the rest of his life. Men think with your damn brain. Saki seems like a good person and this lady and her daughter laughs all the way to the bank
daughter is literally in a good educated field for work stop reaching to whine
That is most modern day females
I'd 100% have to agree with all the points you make, minus the bit of you saying Saki "seems like a good person". You might want to re-watch the bits in the video where he's seen belittling and insulting one of his customers, and all the negative reviews shown that confirm that this is his default when it comes to customer interaction. Guy is a horse's ass.

Glad you enjoy it! Thanks for supporting the channel, Andy.
Probably the most educational HK episode ever. Remember bois; "This is my restaurant as much as it is yours" Sometimes its just not worth it.
Im surprised that spin a yarn is still open because a lot restaurants that were featured on kitchen nightmare usually close their doors. Its cool to see that they're doing well
Brennan Taylor and his brother Jake covered quite a few Kitchen Nightmares restaurant that managed to remain open including Spin A Yarn
They still open ? 😮
After finding out how awful the owners are I wish it had closed.
My mom dated Saki for six years before he met Jennifer. The restaurant was always busy before Kitchen Nightmares. It’s still popular to this day. I love popping in for a drink and bite whenever I’m in the area.
@@submale5892 Politics, that's what you're such a nasty pos. Just admit it and move on.
Well, instant sub! I fell in love with Kitchen Nightmares last year and the only one that got coverage of what happened after Gorson left was Amy's Baking Company. So it's nice to see you and a few other channels talking about other restaurants on the show
Welcome Greg. Glad you’re liking them and thanks for the support.
Ran for School Board. Daughter goes to Private School. Backed by Moms for Liberty. "I'm shocked! Shocked! Well... not that shocked."
Would it surprise you that having kids in the school district is not necessarily a qualification to serve on a school board.
They are leaders in the community, with businesses and professional practices. Clergy, Police and Fire department personnel also add nicely to a resume.
@@johndoh3188 Two of those three jobs you listed as helping getting them on the board are higher risk for children. But if you're campaigning to supposedly be the voice of parents maybe you should have your kids in the system. Maybe then she would have known what parents were actually concerned about and campaigned on that and won instead.

11:52 review is funny cause who rates a place a 1/5 because they ran out of prime rib on a saturday night after just being on tv. It's just an onslaught of customers who probably came to try that one item

A conservative hypocritical special
@@tsubakichan How TF is that hypocrisy? Go on. Explain your extremely idiotic comment.

A lot of conservatives plan is to just ruin the public systems and funnel all kids into for-profit schools
Well, now we know more about Moms for Liberty.
19:59 Look at how pink that steak is. You can even see the red juices on the plate. That's DEFINITELY NOT medium well, it's nowhere near close. That's a near perfect medium rare. OMG- I am a SF Bay Area standup comedian and longtime Kitchen Nightmares fan. My comedian friend needed a host on short notice last Friday and I took the gig. I googled the the venue so I could get directions to Fremont...Spin A Yarn. I remember this episode for sure. The place is still going strong- full parking lot, lots of blue hairs (old folks). Both Jen and Saki were there that night and she was my point person for the show. AMA!
The daughter is very disrespectful to The Stepfather and its the mother's fault for allowing her to speak that way to him also I love when the jennifer says that she's not a gold digger but explains to Gordon that saki is not her type he really had to get her to be interested by taking her on expensive trips that's when she agreed to marry him lol btw all jennifer did was curse at her husband through out the episode now I can see why jennifers daughter speaks that way to her stepfather good they are divorced now better
The more I watch of these , the more abundantly clear that work flow and communication is damn key ! I work in a highschool cafeteria , and while it's nothing in food quality compared to these menus , the conflicts are similar. You have to be calm and reasonable and especially work around how the rest of the staff works. Trust your gut but also be accomedating. Im glad saki made more steak. Thats surprisingly common. Sometimes you or a coworker in the kithcen over or underestimate yourself. Its kind of a balancing act really to cook with others!

Ngl, whenever I see Ramsay help break down people’s barriers and realize why they act the ways they do that get thin in to the situations we see in the show, I always think back to the “white Oprah” line.
Also, this episode is how I learned what ‘pallbearers’ were.
Spin A Yarn sounds like a huge place to buy stuff for knitting 😂😂😂. "While you're out deary pick ol grandma up her medicine and go to Spin A Yarn too."

I don't feel any sympathy for a dude who marries a young girl 16 years younger than him. You knew EXACTLY why she got with you dude, you can't sit there and act shocked when she spends all your money.
Not applicable to all cases. Often it can even be the reverse. I am seventeen years younger than my husband and he only worked for five years of our relationship. I still work in the same job that I did sixteen years ago full time and intend to work until retirement. He has a son that is claiming he can't work due to Fibromyalgia, not sure if that is a fallacy his money hungry and very cunning mother served up. He seems to be able to do many things without being compromised by this illness - except work.
I’m surprised Jen didn’t start an onlyfans
Doesn’t help with her voting base.
Surprising considering how often she shows off her "goods" in those pictures, but I guess it wouldn't sit well with their republican crowd.
It seems to me she' has conservative values, listening to this video.
Too flabby from roast beef fat.
Would’ve definitely checked it out if she still looked how she did on the show but as you see , she ruined her face with surgery smh
But the real question is, what happened to the beautiful waitress Mary??

Honestly, checking out the website for Jen and Dianne is very funny.
Dianne’s is a very basic website. They talked about their experience in being involved in several committees before elected and also talked about what they have done while in office.
Jen on the other hand is a more expensive looking website and videos and photos of her with several different people and talking about how she will be “a voice for parents”.
Jenn is trying to run a big campaign which is not what people voting for the school board want. If they care that much about the municipal level of politics, they care more about what the person can do.
here to spin a yarn, saki, and Jennifer. a recipe for failure but turned out successful unlike many other restaurants.
The way Jennifer acted during the refrigerator tour it was obvious she knew that stuff was there and wanted to play it up for the cameras. She was a bad actress lol.
I always love when Gordon has fun with the wait staff.
So sad to see this is one of the restaurants that's stuck around when so many other more well-deserving ones had to close :(
And I thought I was crazy for seemingly being the only one to think the same. Glad to know that that wasn't the case! I don't know what video the other people in this comment section watched with what they are saying about it, but it must not of been the one that I did

I swear 99% of the old customers are just old people who have barely any tastebuds left and liked the old food because typically it would be from frozen or a can which often means it's softer and easier to chew and swallow for them.
I can't say I hope they continue on..
I hope someone brought up that she was on kitchen nightmares when she was running for the school board thing.

Oh that's why they stayed in business. They used their personal politics to appeal to a demographic that historically doesn't fit well in California.
