Everything Sina does is spot on.. Starting young, practicing all the time and exposing yourself to everything is how it's done. Mastering the fundamentals by doing some boring stuff over and over again, thousands of times prepares you to be among the greatest.. Sina is very well on her way..
I and all grew up watching the pink panther cartoons before movies, it was our favorite. Only after watching this, I realize how much drumming was in there. This is perfection.
A lot of musicians get hung up on only playing their chosen genre of music...Hard rock, country, metal, etc. It's always really cool to see someone stretching out their skills and playing a variety of different genres because it forces you to approach things from different angles.
a very successful and organic combination of video shooting from different angles, Sina's concentration on playing and music itself - just perfect performance
You have proved that you can do jazz. It is a total pleasure to watch the drums being played so skilfully in another genre. I have seen many mediocre drummers and a few bad ones, but to watch the skill of someone who has a wonderful sense of rhythm and hasn't reached her peak yet is a total pleasure.
Thanks Sina. In my mind, I saw Inspector Clouseau sneaking around for Butler Cato for his daily beat down. Of cooourse, of cooourse (TYT - Uyger) Commissioner Dreyfus somehow gets the royal beat down from Clouseau going after Cato. There was only one Pink Panther. That was Peter Sellers. Cartoon character came second. Thanks for the memories, Sina. Thank you 💕🎶🎷🥁
Sina has an old, sweet soul which allows her to create some old, sweet sounds. This performance was above amazing. Let me stand up and applaud you. You continue to impress me and everyone else!
THE SONG - "The Pink Panther Theme" was written by Henry Mancini in 1963 for the movie "The Pink Panther". It was released on a soundtrack album and as a single in 1964. It peaked at #10 on May 9, 1964 on Billboard's Adult Contemporary Chart. Mancini chose specific musicians who had the sound and style he wanted for the composition such as Plas Johnson on sax, Howard Roberts on guitar and Shelly Manne on drums. THE DRUM COVER - Shelley Manne grew up in New York developing his playing style in clubs along 52nd Street in the late 1930s. He played with notable musicians like Dizzy Gillespie, Charlie Parker, and Woody Herman. He moved to Los Angeles in the early '50s and became associated with the West Coast avant-garde jazz style. He recorded with Ella Fitzgerald, Stan Getz, Barney Kessel and even Tom Waits, as recently as 1982, two years before his death. Manne considered himself to be a musician first and drummer second so he tended to submerge his playing rather than standing out. This drum cover gives Sina a chance to step back into an earlier big band, swing era. It's really nice to hear the drums featured as a more up-front instrument on such a classic, recognizable tune. Nice work. And nice quote - "It Don't Mean a Thing (If It Ain't Got That Swing)" is actually a legendary 1931 song by jazz great Duke Ellington. It was said to be the credo of his former trumpet player Bubber Miley who was terminally ill with TB. "The Pink Panther Theme" was covered by others. If you'd like the swing with a bit more of a modern feel, search YT for the version by The Ventures and/or Nokie Edwards. I can't give you the link but you'll find it easily. Then come back and listen to Sina again. You won't be disappointed. THE ICON - Just business as usual for Niki and the staff. PERSONAL NOTE - I'm going to be out of town for a week to ten days from next Wednesday so you guys are on your own for a while. See you all when I get back!
Thank you so much, as always Juliet P. Your comments are always so appreciated very much! Hope you have a great time while your away... you will be missed. Take care! :)
Juliet P. Thankyou for the really interesting background information on the musicians and music Sina chooses to "bring to our attention" so well. You too "so well" round out these musical pieces; oft-times masterpieces from our past. Without people such as your good self and Sina and family, this world would be a much sadder place. Thankyou to all involved, for helping Sina & friends make this world a better place. :)
Sina, thank you. My late father was a swing / Jazz guitarist and this was one of his favorite numbers. I must be honest and tell you that this brought a tear to my eye. As always, you've created another outstanding video. Thanks again, and keep on drumming.
Weiter so!
Henry Mancini has to be smiling from the heavenly firmament. Sina cut it loose with a little big band/jazz pizzazz. Way to go, Sina! I'll never see the opening credits of the movie The Pink Panther (1964) in the same way again.
I don't know how but once again you've taken a common everyday movie theme song and added new flare that wasn't there before! I positive that "Henri Mancini" would give it a total nod of approval! VERY WELL DONE SWEETIE!I Enjoyed it very much, THANK YOU!!!
Hi Sina, The great drummer Shelly Manne would be very proud of your playing, as I am, on this number. I have been a percussion player for over fifty-eight years. I still love playing, and seeing young talent like you earning their musical stripes. Henry Mancini was raised in my home town of Aliquippa, Pa, and much beloved by everyone in town. Best wishes to you and your musical career.
Very nice! It’s great that you can drum in multiple musical styles. P.S. The people who disliked this video, you are depriving some village somewhere of an idiot.
Sina does a wonderful job on this cover of the Pink Panther theme. I also enjoyed the series of movies. Peter Sellers is wonderful portraying the bumbling Inspecter Clouseau.
Awesome cover of a true classic, which could almost have been written to showcase the talents of the drummer. Can there be anyone in the world with access to recorded music who doesn't know this track? This is immediately my favourite performance of Henry Mancini's masterpiece. You killed it, made it your own, and nailed it's hide to the door!
HA HA! Sina, what a classic! From the first note I started to smile, What a class act, I think you two go very well together (you and the song). Henry would be very honored to hear your cover. I believe that Shelley Manne* would give you a huge thumbs up! Another Great Classic! thanks once more for the memories!
That's the first time that I've seen you use the classic style of holding the sticks. Didn't think anyone did that anymore. Great job by the way! Nice Drum rolls too. This takes me back to Saturday mornings watching "Pink Panther" cartoon. Thank you Sina!!
This one seems to require great delicacy as well as flashes of intensity, AND to shift gears between them very quickly. And what a classic piece to play!
Tasty! As a sax player who has played this song in a jazz band, I have always enjoyed this piece, in all of its parts. You have captured it's spirit! 🥁🎷
And Mancini, too 😊 I like the jazzy style here on this classic! What a creative and artistic mind set Sina has on this! It’s a refreshing, living thing! She has the traditional grip in this one, btw. But it was just an exception and tryout 6 six years ago, wasn’t it? Great job, Sina!
Well done Sina! Pink Panther is one of my favorite pieces. Because I play sax, I've always listened to it from that viewpoint, and never realised what a cool percussion part it has. Thank you.
Showing my age: The original vinyl editions of both "The Pink Panther" and "Casino Royal" soundtracks were produced to legendary standards and are collectibles now. I have the Pink Panther one and it sounds terrific, as crisp as the one Sina covers so well.
Well by golly last week I commented that "I want to see her play more Jazz"!! Thank YOU Sina! This is classic stuff here; Jazz is so fun to play because you can just switch from the on-beat to the off-beat and just scat around; "Take Five" Dave Brubeck next!
Everything Sina does is spot on.. Starting young, practicing all the time and exposing yourself to everything is how it's done. Mastering the fundamentals by doing some boring stuff over and over again, thousands of times prepares you to be among the greatest.. Sina is very well on her way..
Ditto.

Classic Rock, Soft Rock, Southern Rock, Pop, Jazz, whatever - you name it, Sina can nail it. Gotta love it.
She is amazing drummer ,fun to watch ,she is so focused ,great to listen too ,what a talent.
In my humble opinion, this is one of the greatest instrumentals ever written.
A lot of musicians get hung up on only playing their chosen genre of music...Hard rock, country, metal, etc. It's always really cool to see someone stretching out their skills and playing a variety of different genres because it forces you to approach things from different angles.

Well said, and truthfully! 😊
There just is no limit to what you can do. Big band, rock, jazz or any other genre or combinations of genres. Simply incredible!

Thank you Juliet P. , I learn so much from you!
Sina, well done. I wish you the best in life.
Thanks, Juliet P., for that great write up. You will be missed. We will be waiting :)
Sina, thank you. My late father was a swing / Jazz guitarist and this was one of his favorite numbers. I must be honest and tell you that this brought a tear to my eye. As always, you've created another outstanding video. Thanks again, and keep on drumming.
Nice groove! I love watching drummers play snare with a traditional grip. It's so classy.
Talk about versatile. This girl can play anything. Great job, and thanks for the variety.

You are really a very versatile musician. You can cover all kinds of genres. I'm a big fan of yours 😊
its an all time classic piece that just never ever gets old, you know what it is before the first bar has finished. great playing sina!
This is masterful!
The one-handed Snare - great!
Thank you very much
One of the coolest, jazziest theme songs ever. Nice choice Sina.
Your breadth of covers is outstanding and brings foreword the beauty of percussion.
a true classic . Bravissima. Perfect 60's spirit. How can u dislike this video? that's not easy. Very good Playing, this girl.
Very cool Sina. Even using traditional grip, which always helps find that "jazz" feel. Great stuff! :-)
Haha, the traditional grip, that was my first thought too!
why the"conditional grip" here
Very good! The pink panther, Henry Mancini, Peter Sellers... Inolvidables
Another classic. The hits they keep a comin'.
Your cover of the pink panther shows an understanding of technique and touch I am impressed thank you
I'm amazed by your ability to play any style of music and make it sound great. Excellent job on this song.
Mancini is one of my all time movie theme writers. Thanks for bringing back the track with your cover!
I don't know how but once again you've taken a common everyday movie theme song and added new flare that wasn't there before! I positive that "Henri Mancini" would give it a total nod of approval! VERY WELL DONE SWEETIE!I Enjoyed it very much, THANK YOU!!!
This is a portrait of absolute control and restraint. Very well done, Sina! 👏❤
This song could not miss among your performances. Always show your mastery in playing drums very easily. Good to see you play
Yep. Yet another glimpse into the imagination and artistry of this special young lady. Kudos...
i have never though a drum kit could sound like a musical instrument, what a talented person!!!!
OMG. One of my favorite themes and you NAILED IT.
Hi Sina, The great drummer Shelly Manne would be very proud of your playing, as I am, on this number. I have been a percussion player for over fifty-eight years. I felt every single beat and I fell in love with the way she play that sweet swing... Just love it!
I remember watching the program as a child...excellent. 👏
Awesome, Sina! I love the Pink Panther Theme. Great work on the drums!
Thank you, Sina!!! Another venture into perfection; made me believe that I was watching cartoons on a Saturday morning!!!
It's a Saturday morning right here right now, and both your comment and Sina's playing this beautiful piece beautifully make me smile. 😊
Very nice! It’s great that you can drum in multiple musical styles.
P.S. The people who disliked this video, you are depriving some village somewhere of an idiot.
😂😂😂😂😂😂👏👏👏👏👏👏So dam true. Pure class and talent. Funny comment. Have to remember that one.
Can't agree more Jim ! ! !
For someone so young your versatility is outstanding. I can't wait to see what you do next.
Nice change of pace masterfully done ! And a damn funny movie too ! Peter Sellers at his finest...
Great Sina!!! You´re an inspired drummer and you don’t stuck in one genre of music.
She's making those drumsticks move in a way you can't perceive on a RUclips video. Awesome.
Terrific. One of the best drummers I’ve heard.
What a great soft touch! Fantastic control!
Sina does a wonderful job on this cover of the Pink Panther theme.
I also enjoyed the series of movies.
Peter Sellers is wonderful portraying the bumbling Inspecter Clouseau.
I used to play this on the tenor sax in stage band. We used to play a lot of big band music. Thanks for the memory.
That looks so much harder than I thought it would have been. Simple sounding piece with so much complexity!
I LOVE This Song! Pink Panther was one of my favorite cartoons back in the day.
I had forgotten how much of a laid-back feel this song has. Of course, there is still a precision that this song requires. Well done!
Oh so nice. You stir a lot of fond memories from years gone by.
So very well performed. It brings a smile to my face and heart
Love the variety of music you choose
Oh my Miss '99! Nice surprise and love the Rich/Krupa left hand technique...have a great weekend!
My favorite, learn on guitar back in 1982, thanks for cover... Was a surprise for me!
That was different. I grew up with this. Nicely done as always
As usual, awesome! Would love to see more Jazz with
its complex timings and percussive textures. 👍👍👍👍🙋
beautiful. one of my favorite cartoon sound track . amazing Sina
Love seeing you play jazz. The more different types of music you play, the more "musical" your drumming will be.
HA HA! Sina, what a classic! From the first note I started to smile, What a class act, I think you two go very well together (you and the song). Henry would be very honored to hear your cover. I believe that Shelley Manne* would give you a huge thumbs up! Another Great Classic! thanks once more for the memories!
Every day like Xmas...with new songs by SINA!
Always love your interpretation of songs from the days of my youth. Very well played :)
„Heute ist nicht alle Tage; Rock kommt wieder, keine Frage". Vielseitigkeit ist Trumpf! Toll gemacht - sogar passend zum Jass/Swing mit trad. Grip.

☺️ Sehr schön nachgedichtet!
Ich stimme Dir vollkommen zu!!
Nur um Missverständnissen vorzubeugen - ich mag Jazz & Verwandtes
You just simply amaze us with your talent and versatility!,
Holy Saturday Morning Swing!! This is so full of life! Thanks, Sina! You are amazing! I'm happy you exist!
That's the first time that I've seen you use the classic style of holding the sticks. Didn't think anyone did that anymore. Great job by the way! Nice Drum rolls too. This takes me back to Saturday mornings watching "Pink Panther" cartoon. Thank you Sina!!
Love the Pink Panther theme...Love Sina's talent. What else can I say? Excellent!
Very encouraging, young lady! Henry bridged the gaps between conventional, jazz, and blues. (from "Great Uncle" Phil, drummer in the late 60s and 70s)
Finally a drummer that holds the sticks the old school way!! That's how I learned how to hold them. Great job!!
Could anyone explain me what the advantage of each way of holding drumsticks is? Isn't it strange to do it differently in both hands?
This one seems to require great delicacy as well as flashes of intensity, AND to shift gears between them very quickly. And what a classic piece to play!
Bravo Sina! 💥🥁💥
I've always loved this song. Sina does a great drum cover
What I enjoy about this drummer...she has a swagger to her own.
Great job again, brings back memories for me of my dad laughing loudly while watching these movies.
Wow Sina, you don't cease to amaze us! I really liked the way you handle the sticks, and the concentration. Thank you.
SINA, your the best in every thing in music. love your sound. keep up the awesome playing, your biggest fan,
Great to hear you do some of the classics as a nice change of pace to rock. Shows your versatility
Tasty! As a sax player who has played this song in a jazz band, I have always enjoyed this piece, in all of its parts. You have captured it's spirit! 🥁🎷

Absolutely awesome! Love your technique for playing this song!
You are doing the best thing. Amplifying your range. Great job.
I do looooove a little swing from time to time. Thank you sina love this is ACE.
I just love how you always find a way to surprise us ... a beautiful rendition of a fabulous theme. Danke!
NICE!! Great feel! Love the traditional grip! I play that way 90% of the time!
Wow, you nailed it, Great Tribute to a Composer and Musician. Definitely not an easy so easy song to play, let alone master.
One of The Coolest Themes ever written!
Yes! This is why I like your style so much. 😊
What a friday gift......pink panther feat. the Princess of percussion !!!
Well by golly last week I commented that "I want to see her play more Jazz"!! Thank YOU Sina! This is classic stuff here; Jazz is so fun to play because you can just switch from the on-beat to the off-beat and just scat around; "Take Five" Dave Brubeck next!
