Thanks, I love this video & ❤ raccoons. We rented a cabin a few hours away to view wildlife, esp the gators. We were sitting on back porch & all of a sudden about 15 of them were climbing up on the deck, surrounding us, stole the dog's food & left like thiefs in the night 😂😂
Racoons have five fingers on their front paws. They can open doors cages and are all my Christmas candy in wrappers. I came home with the candy gone but a pile of wrappers on my table
I had a friend in high school that had found one as a baby out in the woods. He raised it as a pet. It was SO cute, soft and cuddly. But...they are extremely clever! It managed to figure out how to open it's cage. So when he got home from school it has TRASHED his house! It got into EVERYTHING! There was empty containers ALL over the house! He said it took him HOURS to clean all the peanut butter off of the walls, floors, doorknobs and all of his furniture! It has unscrewed the lids on the peanut butter jars, and basically anything with a screw top lid on it. He knew how to open the refrigerator so all the plastic containers in his refrigerator too. They have the most amazing little hands! It even turned on the faucet in the kitchen sink so it could "wash" it's food! Of course it left the water running so he had a HUGE water bill that month! LOL When he came home and found it, it was laying on the couch in a big pile of empty bread sacks and containers with a HUGE full tummy! Even an empty ice cream container! He had even eaten all the frozen food in his freezer! The little devil! So, he had to buy a whole lot of padlocks to lock all the kitchen cupboards, his bedroom door, the basement door AND the cupboard doors under the sink where the garbage was. My friend was stupid enough to keep the key to the locks on a hook by the front door thinking it couldn't possibly figure out how to use the key to open the locks....yep, my friend wasn't very bright. He realized that the little devil had been watching him open the locks to get to the food in the cupboards! When he came home from school the next day he found his little buddy had climbed on the couch, climbed on top of the lamp by the couch, found the key and had managed to get the key into the lock and was currently trying to turn it so it would open the lock!! They are amazingly smart little creatures. They are SO cute...and the biggest pests in this country! If you go camping, you have to put your food in a bear proof container and hang it in a tree to keep the bears out of it...AND put a big padlock on it to keep the darn raccoons out of it! They will destroy your campsite to find any food you might have stupidly left laying around! And you have to lock up anything bright and shiny as well. They love shiny things! If you find a raccoon nest, usually in a hole in a big tree, you'll usually also find shiny silverware and other shiny stuff in there too. It's seriously difficult to "out-clever" those little devils! :D LOL
We raised an orphaned raccoon from bottle feeding until it got to be about a year old ..they are cute and a pain in the a$$ but they’re still wild animals and can become mean .. we turned it loose on a friends farm that had other raccoons , it lived in her barn for a while , they do not make good pets !
I have a family that comes every night.. Havnt seen this yrs babies yet. But momma..and a few babies from previous yrs , every night during spring summer and fall.. Love them.. they come up on my deck with me..
They are adorable, but they can be such a pain. They are very mischievous and every year they get into my attic. I can hear them running around and they can be very loud, especially when they are adults. But, they are generally non-threatening to humans.
I am an American who loves racoons! There's a whole racoon colony on a trail by my house and people bring them food. Last week I was out for a walk and there was a line of racoons waiting their turn to get a tortilla from this guy who brought them a bag of tortillas all the way across the walking trail.
I raise & release orphaned raccoons. The most I've had at one time was 6. They are A LOT of work, the formula is VERY EXPENSIVE but it's so MUCH FUN!! They are HIGHLY INTELLIGENT & excellent escape artists. The year I had 6 I had to overwinter them because they weren't ready for release in the fall so I built a huge enclosure in my heated garage with outdoor access to their outside enclosure. Singletons do not do well so you always want to find them a buddy or 2. The 6 we had were from 3 different mothers but formed a pack together.
You two should also check out: Raccoons Get Drive Thru Treat & Clever Racoon orders donut from Dunkin Donuts #Shorts Also there's a short video of this bear that robs this convenience store on the regular... not sure if that's in the USA or Canada? Maybe even somewhere over in Europe? but it's kinda funny and sad, really. He never steals anything healthy, just candy. I'm an American, I like Racoons - but they can be a bit of a troublesome sort at times.
I love raccoons. We have a family of 6 living in our backyard right now. They bathe in our bird pools and clean out our bird feeders nighty. We don’t mind. The babies are fun to watch, and very close to their mothers. They are harmless, clever, curious, and quick to find trouble. :)
Had 2 that lived in my shed. One was big like a medium sized dog. They used to come in through the pet door and eat the cats food. Very sweet raccoons. The cat even got along with them
We started with a single racoon on our property about three years ago, and now there are about eight of them. My husband has spoiled them with treats, so now they come up and knock on the window each night for their goodies. They'll take the treats right out of his hand; they're pretty cute.
They have a " sweet tooth " too. They love marshmallows. Had a friend who lived by some woods and about 5 or 6 would come to his back porch every night. He would set out metal plates with bread, cut fruits, raw veggies and marshmallows. They would eat the marshmallows first every time.
I have a raccoon that stays on my back porch all day, then another group of them comes to my house at night. They’ve never tried to get in my trash can.
I live in Colorado and they live all over my neighborhood. They are cute but definitely mischievous. I have an outdoor water dispenser for the small outdoor animals in the areas, and the raccoons come and wash their hands in it 😂
Tons of them throughout Ontario. They don't bother me. A friend raised two orphaned ones and their paws were SOOO soft and dexterous. She let them go when they could fend for themselves.
I love them so much, even though they're weirdos. We have some living in the tree in our back yard, and when they come down every night they upturn everything and make crazy noises. They don't live for very long, only a few years, so I give them room to do what they like with the time they have.
Raccoons are SOOOOO cute. I would keep one as a pet if I found one. Their little faces are just so sweet looking. They look like little bandits. I saw three dead raccoons on the road just today. The poor little things. They are nocturnal and do not come near humans. If they do, there is something wrong with them - possibly rabies. I once stood outside a hotel I stayed in and fed a small family of raccoons some cheddar popcorn and bread. When people complain they get in their garbage its because they do not can up their garbage properly. They are just trying to find something to eat - not annoy you on purpose. You should see the guy who feeds raccoons on a regular basis. There seems like50-100 raccoons showing up on his porch. And he feeds them so much that they have become huge and fat. The RUclips channel is "James Blackwood - Raccoon Whisperer." These poor raccoons have become reliant on this guy to feed them. Its sad to think about what they will do without him because he is fairly old.
Im on the east coast of the US and growing up I had a raccoon as a pet...he was y best friend and went everywhere with me and we did everything together.. I named him Bandit due to his playful antics...lol
In the wild, they catch frogs, etc, and wash them in the stream before eating. It's just a lot easier to raid trash bins than hunt for food since their habitat has been encroached upon. They're VERY clever!!!
We commonly call Raccoons "Trash Pandas". They are intelligent, curious, and exceptionally capable when it comes to getting into things - so yes, they tend to be a nuisance. I'm a little surprised that Lawrence has never seen one.
Raccoon Mario! Omg i havent thought of that in 20 plus years! 😂😂 There is a guy in Canada who feeds them and has a youtube channel. James Blackwood, Raccoon Whisper.
I have raccoons come up and climb onto the bird feeders and eat the seed. I put food out for the birds and squirrels, so raccoons, rabbits and groundhogs also stop by at times. They're all cute.
Good Vid !! T.Y. ~~ I, have had many an experience with Racoons. when Home on Leaves,, coming up to my Patio,,, a Half Blind Momma Racoon, bringing her Kits ( babies ) up to say hello.. waiting for a hand-out !! They are Smart & Intelligent & quick learners , while still retaining their wildness !! Once again T.Y. for this Vid.. :))) All the Best to Both of You & Yours !! :)))
In Southern California I've seen them going into street drains and on my back patio in the middle of the night. If you leave dog or cat food outside or even water in a hot climate, you will have raccoons! Trash Pandas! They are cute though 🦝
Racoons were nesting in our chimney and my daughter went outside. One of the raccoons practically flew through the air past her head and terrified her. She was little then. After that she drew a picture of an evil raccoon for her aunt 😂. Also, in a different house, my husband was working late and I was home alone with my daughter. I heard an AWFUL racket in the attic. I was terrified. I looked out the back door and saw the back half of a raccoon hanging out of a hole in the eaves 😮.
They come into my yard at night and climb the pole of my bird feeders and take their little hands and steal the bird food. And where I have a baffel, ( that's a barrier to keep them from climbing), they shake the pole real hard to make the bird food fall to the ground and then they eat the seeds. They are smart animals and they will attack humans if they are cornered! 🦋❤🦋❤
1 other thing about Racoons. Never back them into a corner. They will attack a Grizzly Bear to defend itself if backed into a corner. So, if they will attack a Grizzly, just think of what 1 will do to a human if we back it into a corner.
im from southern canada (quebec) and racoons are really everywhere, rural or urbain cities. you only see them at night mostly theyre not really a nuisance beside for your gargabes tho xD not a good pet because they will do damage in your house dont leave anything outside that might be food to them , these guys are smart and agile with their hands to open containers and stuff as a kid i have pet turtles and some fish outside another time that got eaten by the bastards lol even with bricks on the lid they still got to them
I live next to the woods and have two raccoon families that wander around my property. I LOVE them, but I also keep my distance since they are known to attack if they feel threatened. Couple that with having two dogs and, well, yeah. They're cute from a distance.
we love raccoons here in appalachia (eastern kentucky) theyre friends to us. i feed 4 of them every night. most of them to ever been fed by me id say was about 12 of them. when they find a food source they tell their little buddies and come to the food together. just like ants di

I did read the book "Rascal" myself and... I can't remember if it is or not but I think it did get translated into Arabic. But honestly raccoons are an absolutely horrible idea for a pet! They are worse than a cat and a dog combined.
they can, I can tell you firsthand stories.... Open Screen doors to burgle your 10lb bag of cat food. Until I realize goblins are from raccoon free Europe.
i love raccoons, they look like bandits with their fur lol and they sure are thieves in the night! cute and mischievous little creatures. in christianity , just like islam, we are taught to love all wildlife as they too were created in gods image
They're cute, but because they have hands they're very capable at opening things. The types of latches and locks that keep other animals out of stuff does not work on raccoons.

Raccoons have the nickname "trash pandas"

@@RobertSally-vu2tm I don't think it was their first time robbing food 😂
Good ol American Trash Pandas. Cute but dang do they ravage a garden if you're not prepared.
The term for a dead raccoon hit by a car is "road kill".
I love racoons.. I know they can be a nuisance, and not always friendly.. I love them anyway.. American here

We live in the woods in the pacific northwest. We have raccoons, opossum, neighborhood cats, etc at night. 2 miles away we have black bears!😮
If I ever go to the US, seeing a raccoon would be on my wish list..❤

The Racoons was a popular animated Canadian show in the 1980s.
There are no trash pandas in Newfoundland 🙂
You guys have a unique perspective on things and that makes your reactions interesting. Thanks.
Lifestyles of the Rich and Famous!
I have a family of Raccoons living near me, for about 10 years now. Been able to watch multiple generations grow up.
For people that travel US UK a lot, call the Atlantic Ocean, The Pond. Where his channel name comes from.
Classic British understatement, LOL.
Had 2 that lived in my shed. One was big like a medium sized dog. They used to come in through the pet door and eat the cats food. Very sweet raccoons. The cat even got along with them
You mean the raccoons tolerated your cat. Fluffy wouldn't stand a chance against a seriously pissed off coon.

We found a lost baby raccoon as kids, kept and raised it. They're very loving, almost like cats if tamed
The sun never sets on the Raccoon Federation 💪🦝💪
I live in Colorado and they live all over my neighborhood. They are cute but definitely mischievous. I have an outdoor water dispenser for the small outdoor animals in the areas, and the raccoons come and wash their hands in it 😂

Tons of them throughout Ontario. They don't bother me. A friend raised two orphaned ones and their paws were SOOO soft and dexterous. She let them go when they could fend for themselves.
I briefly saw a live raccoon as it ran out in front of my car and proceeded to become a dead raccoon.

I had a pet Raccoon years ago I Love them ❤ their cool 😎 ❤❤❤

Open Screen doors to burgle your 10lb bag of cat food.
Open windows to steal clothing...i don't know why
Open closed garbage cans, both plastic and metal

Hi handsome men ❤
Raccoons are the cutest little trash pandas
We had two raccoons they were my mothers pet we call them Trash pandas 😂
Some people even eat them.
They're cute, but because they have hands they're very capable at opening things. The types of latches and locks that keep other animals out of stuff does not work on raccoons.

I would totally have a raccoon.
Raccoons are cool.
His information isn't totally accurate, we have them across Canada. I've seen them.
Raccoons are cool, i don't like opossums.
They make terrible pets
It would be nice if you'd react to a nature film or documentary of my countries wildlife and scenery rather than from this guy.
Trash Pandas!!
