This is the oddest thing I have ever seen that makes the coolest music, thank you for shearing this awesome video, I love it. Just what I needed to hear today
I remember my mom getting me both 1 and 2 for em to watch on long trips, and I loved them both. My personal favorite is acoustic curves, and every time I hear it, I start to tear up. Without this, I probably would never had learned to be a musician.
Animusic is what I credit with getting me into musicianship. From the wacky, near avant-garde choices in how the instrumentation should happen, to the catchy, slapping melodies, everything about it pulled me in as a kindergartener. It was easy to see where I’d fit in- drums were definitely my thing. And I’m so glad to find that so many years later, it still holds up and absolutely slaps. Pipe Dream and Heavy Light will always be my favourites.
My father had DVDs of these videos when I was a child and my favorite thing was to sit in front of the tv for hours and watch them. I'm sure I drove my parents insane.
the fiber bundles is what's going on in my head when i hear Animusic it just lights my brain up to this day i love it and i started listening when it first came out im 69 now and its still awsome .
Always fantastic to see other people appreciating Animusic. Pretty good choices. Personally, I think I would put Stick Figures a little higher, and I would include Harmonic Voltage somewhere in there as well. That's just me, though. Great selection of songs!
I love animusic like crazy, but I find myself listening to acoustic curves and cathedral pictures the most. Also, as a kid, cathedral pictures was by far my favorite.
Same. I introduced both Volume 1 & 2 to my niece when she was about 1yo. She became a little addicted to them and would pick the dvd out, hand it to my mom (who was babysitting her at the time), and turn on the dvd player. That whole situation still makes chuckle.
@@Blasting_Blaze Have you ever listened to the original piece ("Pictures at an Exhibition" by Mussorgsky) with a full symphony orchestra? There is also the rock version done by Emerson, Lake and Palmer.
Man I needed this tonight!!. Had an incident yesterday that left me kind of unbalanced feeling which led to a panic attack tonight. This is just what I need to distract me until the meds kick in. Thank you!
Oh my god. This is absolutely glorious. As musicians, you rate with Mozart, Chopin, Bach... Your arrangements are spectacular. I started studying music when I was five years old. I played classical, jazz, rock, ragtime, blues, . And you amaze me.
@@JacksonOwl It is awesome as you watch and getting into it surprise here comes another curve to join the curve parte' LOL. Then slowly winds down and all the concert members go back home.
pogo sticks haunted me in my nightmares as a small child. i don't know how or why i watched this so young, but it definitely stuck around with me in reoccurring nightmares.
Why oh WHY has there been _nothing_ like this, since this? It's absolutely awesome and way easier to make now than in 2001. Of course you need to be a fantastic composer to even try to live up to these guys, but still.
I gotta say. This list was ok, but definitely not my top 10. My top ten would be something like: 10. Drum Machine (It's a really driving song that's fun to listen to. It's sequel, "Gyro Drums", was really good but it didn't flow nearly as well in my opinion) 9. Resonant Chamber (This song is really nice to listen to and It's really fun when it ramps it up and changes towards the end of the song.) 8. Seventh Alloy (Yes I had to do it, also that solo in the mid section is just soo good) 7. Pipe dream (It really is a classic but it really lacks the energy that the sequel has) 6. More Bells and Whistles (I know this one was technically before Animusic was even founded, but that doesn't stop it from being a bop) 5. Stick figures (That base is really catchy, and the way the song comes back from the "slow" section is really awesome to listen to with the low brass) 4. Fiber Bundles (I gotta say, the bass line in the mid section really gets me going, also the reverb with the lights in the background are really unique and sound very cool) 3. Pipe Dream 2 (It's got high energy and that super fast solo with that vibraphone? (I think) Is just so catchy and the wholesong over all flow really nicely.) 2. Restival (I dunno I'm kinda just putting all of Wayne Lytles music underneath the Animusic umbrella. But this song hits pretty hard for me ngl) 1. Acoustic curves (What can I say. The progression of this song is so satisfying to listen to and it has such a kicking drumline. And when the bad slapps it's like OOH. Undoubtedly some of the best work from Animusic.) Overall. All the Animusic songs and Wayne Lytles songs in general are really good. As time goes by and I listen to each song about a thousand more times one change, but for the love of god, how did "A Slight Delay" make the list? (It's probably my least favourite song from Wayne Lytle due to its mind numbing repetitiveness with nothing interesting ever going on. Heck, I'd even say something as unorganized as "Trimensional Battle" is better than it. At least "Trimensional Battle" can be fun to listen to. And even The slow and quite boring "Fruitful Vision" isn't repetitive to the point of being annoying. But that's just my opinion.)
