DidYouKnowThat@ The book Pop Hits (Western music lyrics, about 297 songs in one volume, other volumes available too) has been published with no name of any identifiable publisher, date or city of publication. Fr Fermin SJ gave me a clue quite some time back that it might have come out of a seminary in Pune (then Poona), when local seminarians got an evening off for music, compiled the popular hits of the time, and made their files into a book. Got a copy sold by Furtado's for Rs 100. Date not clear..... After reading this, Linus DLima, Xavier's alumni in Mumbai, commented: "(It was the work of) Late Rev Fr Augustine Silvera SJ I had the cyclostyled version. Later printed by Rev Fr George Rosario SJ - one sold by Furtados." FN

Some error might have crept in to what I quoted earlier... the original is the work of the mid 20th century Goan diaspora poet Philip Furtado missing-the-minstrels.blogspot.com/2010/04/ode-to-sorpotel.html

@@fredericknoronha9998 Absolutely agree with you. Time we start doing that more earnestly. But then... let's leave that for other. We march ahead
Our Goan Band of Priests should have a RUclips channel, too!!!
That's easy to start, but I guess there are few recordings maintained... which is a pity. (True for all, priests and non-priests).
@@fredericknoronha9998 some individual priests have their own RUclips channels in Goa!!!
That is a band with lot of talent. Like the lyrics too.
Nice song. Can I have the lyrics of the song.
