He's everybody's Buddy! He's everybody's Guy! Nobody has ever matched his swagger and his masterly, savagery attack on his guitar! Everybody loves Buddy Guy!

Not long after 85 on solo Buddy gigs he would fly into town, the club would have a pickup band, Buddy would play through the opening bands amp then he would fly back out the next day.I picked him.up at the airport one time back then.
@@lext4374...this was a pickup band. You can tell by the songs they're doing. But Ike has played with some great Chicago Blues guys and is a great bass player.
The color is so muted in this video. I can't tell if it's was filmed in black and white or if the color was just washed out. But Buddy's playing is Tops, and his singing is blistering 🫡🇺🇸

Esse show me marcou...
Everyone's having a great time at this gig; audience, band and all, but that drummer's having the best time of all!

This is from the time when the blues was still funky!
blah blahs it’s still funky. Check out the Corey Denison Band.
Drummer looks like Lionel Ritchie
Hell yhea!!
@@cidertom5140 Not really. About as much as Derek Jeter looks like Lowell Fulson or Big Joe Turner and Willie Stargell.

So great!

Jerry Porter on drums, George Baze on Les Paul guitar, Pete Allen on guitar too. Who is the bass player?
Buddy's greatest and funkiest band, before all the "come back" soulless session muso era.
Do you know the band line up?

This looks like the '70s not 1985!
85 seems about right to me. I saw Buddy and Junior in 87 and, apart from Greg Rzab having taken over on bass, the band looked very much like this.
