Did Rickie say that he was working to keep the local driving range alive where he grew up!? Thats super cool! Payin' it forward! The local cow-track golf course where I grew up, went out of business and it was a heart breaker.. Way to go Fowler!

People seem to forget that Tiger's 2006-2008 run was arguably better than his 1999-2002 run. Sure equipment helped his competition to a certain extent, but prime Tiger was still world's better than anyone else.

@@Butcho22 Yeah that ship has sailed. If DJ was on his level mentally it would be even and everyone knows it. I mean do I need to go through some of the guys that won majors when Tiger was around. Not to mention how 3 of his majors came in playoffs against Bob May, Chris DiMarco and Rocco Mediate 😂. I mean he’s won one major since 2008 and he needed Molinari to choke his heart out. It is nice to hear him say that he would love to play with persimmon woods and balata balls to I assume is to thin the field of talent some and allow other golf courses be still be able to host PGA tournaments that have come obsolete from hosting a PGA tournament.. I believe I’ve heard Dustin Johnson say distance is not an issue on the tour after driving some roughly 400 yard par 4. Imagine that. :)

Phil had 21 wins on the PGA tour before winning his first major. Rickie has 5. Not really a comparison.

I wish the Tour would have 2-3 tourneys a year using Old equipment/new balls and then new equipment with older balls or something so all have the same equipment and see what happens.
Can't remember the tourney, but Johnny Miller was bagging on Rick for being popular without winning much on the tele. Mr. NIcklaus was in the booth at that moment and Jack put an end to that talk real quick and had Johnny on his heels. Perhaps he hasn't won a ton, but dude seems like a great human being as the Sleeze is corroborating.

I’m a big Rickie fan, but his window is closing. He’s not top 25 anymore and a few young studs come on tour each year. He hasn’t fallen like Spieth, but it will get tougher for him to win every year.

So Rickie really likes the Olympics. And that's actually really important.
A lot of pros didn't go to Rio in 2016. Because of a mosquito that if it bit a girl she might not get pregnant. Which was a ridiculous thing at the time. A myth really.
In the meantime all the ladies went to Rio.
But they male pros? Not so much.
So it was incredibly important Rickie went to Rio and kept the golf thing alive for us at the Olympics.
