Number 1: you should ALWAYS close the lid before flushing the toilet. This is one of my biggest pet peeves and it astounds me. Look up toilet plume and you'll definitely want to make sure the lid is closed before flushing. It's absolutely disgusting. Number 2: WHO DOESN'T LOOK AT THE TOILET BEFORE THEY SIT DOWN?!
@@InDeathWeReturn hell, I mean, I'm a guy and I sometimes forget to check. I'm the one leaving it up though, so I have no one but myself to blame. But I usually fully close it before flushing, because toilet plume.
I was staying at a hotel when the maid cleaned the room even though the do no disturb sign was out. I mentioned this to the manager. She told me that it was her first day but this was unacceptable so she would be fired. I was not expecting this and not even angry when I spoke to the manager.
#1 - As I've gotten older (65 M), I find that it's just easier to sit to pee, especially at night when I'm stumbling to the bathroom. Keeps us both happy. 😁
I used to drive buses and knew a number of fellow bus drivers who hated anybody talking loudly, from just behind them. I know some of them hated having kids at the back of the bus yelling and making noise, as kids are prone to do. I think it's because it disturbs these driver's concentration. It never bothered me. The only times I told students to be quiet was when they were swearing or talking in such a way as to disturb or upset other passengers.
I keep the lid down so my cats won't fall in and drownd. There'd be nothing to grab onto or push up against, so... Bad part is that bottling up the humid air makes the inside of the bowl more susceptible to mold/mildew, which never ever happened before.
one time the boys in the back of my middle school bus had a "howler monkey contest" for about 8 minutes. bus driver was strangely calm about that distraction. also have some coworkers now that are simularly loud about twice a month.
Story 1: I forced myself to sit down to pee for about 2 years when my older brother and his wife and kids/step-kids live at my mom's house. Two if the step-kids always made a mess peeing. They were also the type to not drink much water, so you can guess the stench. Their mom always said it was me making the piss mess and smell, but my mom, in a semi rare case, defended me saying it couldn't have been. (The brother's wife always tried taking control and causing problems in favor of her kids.) It became a habit some time after since I'd stay on the toilet reading.
Bus drivers prefer for buses to be quiet bc all the noise can become a distraction. They also may need to be able to hear radios (some drivers use headphones but not all like public school buses don’t use them where I live) they also need 100% silence at bus stops (I think it’s a national law but it may just be a law where I live). In my experience when kids were allowed to talk at a reasonable volume level kids tended to not cause much trouble but when kids weren’t allowed to talk or when they were screaming then kids caused more trouble.
In my home we always put the lid down because you don’t want to drop your phone or other stuff in the toilet by accident. On the rare occasions when my hubby would leave the seat up it was he who found out why it benefitted him to close both seats. There was nothing more rewarding than to hear his curses of frustration when he fell in (arse first) while attempting to do number two. So it has to be another reason for his wife to be batshit crazy over him leaving the toilet seat up.
I'm a school bus driver. Kids are loud. They can't help it. I let mine talk loudly if they like, just so long as there is no bellowing or screaming...that's a bit much. I tend to overlook the squeaks some of the girls make when talking about, or faced with, their crushes. 10 year olds having crushes is weird to me...I wasn't interested in boys till I was 12 lol
I understand in that story where they asked why the bus driver wants no talking at all when they're driving it might be because even if its not loud perhaps they are one of those drivers or people who can't focus on the road at the same time while there is noise or someone is talking to them Ik some people can't focus when they hear noise or someone is talking to them but it also depends on the situation the person etc and what they're doing but there are just some drivers who can't focus unless they have absolute silence.
Yeah it's a bit of a contradiction. See if you are smart enough to catch on the email is "over the top" you SHOULD also be smart enough to realize if you posted about it and your complete honest story, you are gonna get ROASTED by the internet. Oh we are combat ready with crappy company policy, but a karen being dealt with cleverly is schadenfreude that only gets better if we get the chance to join in.
With the toilet seat thing I believe if the male has to always lift the seat up to go then why can’t the woman always put it down it’s only fair why should it always be the male to lift it up to go then put it down when done
What is the whole toilet seat thing!?! I'm a woman, but I don't require a guy to put my toilet seat down for me & I've NEVER taught my son that because I believe in equality. It's stupid to require some guy to put a toilet seat down like a woman is too weak & stupid to do it themselves. I'm not & if we can teach it, we can do it, ladies! Maybe I'm asking too much, but I don't think so.😊
In general, it's better to put both lids down regardless of gender because it is absolutely disgusting hygienically to flush with the lid still up. The amount of people that don't (I am the only one who does it in my home, somehow???) is astounding.
If wife is threatening divorce over the toilet seat, I think there are other problems that need to be addressed
The wife is crazy for threatening divorce over a toilet seat

If I need to lift something to pee, she will too.

A sit down pee is a thing of luxury. I do it at night because it's quite and more considerate.
Also lid should always be down when flushing.
I'm 25 and I sit when I piss unless I'm in a rush lol

#6 - WTF?! Kids =standing= in a school bus while it's moving? That's a lawsuit waiting to happen.
Story 1 sounds like a "sequel" to the toilet episode of south park
the grocery store one sounds like my local grocery store lol
I put the lid down since about 15 years ago I found my cat playing with a tissue i had thrown in the toilet and had not flushed yet.
