    I was super scared the day me and my mother got in line for this. I was staying as calm as I could, but inside I was freaking out. As we went up I lift hill I looked at her and asked, "how did you get me on this??". All I could feel was sweet regret, but there was no turning back at this point. As soon as we got off the ride, though, I said it was awesome and asked if we could do it again. I loved it. We went on it 7 times that day, I counted!

      That’s me with rollercoasters. That’s why when I get in line for things, I don’t look at the ride. I just get on. If I see the ride, I get scared.

    The funny thing about Alpengeist is that, while you're on the ride (at least for me) it feels quite smooth, definitely not the smoothest, but not rough like people say. However, when you get off of the ride, you have a headache. It's weird but I do really like this ride.

    • @Harihar_Patel
      @Harihar_Patel 7 лет назад +1

      Kumba at Busch Gardens Tampa Bay is what I consider very smooth. Montu on the other hand is rough as hell.

    • @aruyagarik5464

      Dingus I rode this in the late 90s 21 times a day for 4 days in a row, and I'm prone to migraines. Lol. Georgia scorcher just gave me one. Smh. This ride was smooth, didn't bang me head like the ninja and other arrow coasters. It's a fast and fun ride. Maybe over the years the track has gotten worse, who knows but I didn't get a headache back then.

  • @gennieconroy1117

    This is my favorite roller coaster by far. It’s actually really smooth and not as scary as I thought it was going to be. The front row of this ride is awesome. I would 100 percent recommend you get on this ride during your trip. My only complaint is that the beginning is very loud but other than that it’s great.

    August, 2018, was the first time I rode this ride. I had to wait until I was tall enough to ride it. We had the quick queues, so it didn’t really take long until we were on the ride. While we were going up the ride, right when we were about to go down, I was saying “mom I don’t know I don’t like this” then we went and it was AMAZING. Ended up riding like 10 more times again at night so there was no line at all.😁
    Edit: i liked my own comment

      At the park at the very very end of the day like 10-20 minutes to closing the ride operators will let you go in a loop, stopping at the station so people can get off but if you don't want to get off you don't have too!: ) XD I rode it like 6 times in a row!

    This was the first roller coaster I ever rode. It was May 2002 and I was 18 and about to graduate high school. I had also just got my Eagle Scout. The next day, I threw up about every 15 minutes or so and that lasted all day long. Worst sickness I ever had to this day. What made that day worse is that I had to ride a charter bus back home to a small town in southern Ohio where I still live to this day. Thank goodness my mother came along on that band trip. I hope to one day take another trip to Williamsburg that is much more enjoyable and to revisit Busch Gardens. Such a beautiful park.

I HATE drops and twists, and as soon as the first drop came, I immediately regretted everything and screamed and cried and covered my eyes until the very end. This coaster is MUCH less jerky if you ride on one of the two seats in the middle of the rows...the two on each end can jerk the heck out of you if you don't hold yourself tight. That being said, it's an amazing experience! Love the cobra roll on this one, and since the first drop is at an angle, you're halfway down before you really feel the speed. The second drop you "feel" more, but it's still awesome! Great riding experience...and definitely the coaster with the best scenery in the park!

    Loved this ride! That transition to the block brakes mid-track will mess you up if you’re not prepared for it

    Compared to many other inverted coasters,, The speed of this thing coming out of the drop and loops is insane. Says top speed is 67mph but feels a lot faster. Runs at hyper coaster speed

    this ride is, in my opinion, one of the best at the park. it’s pretty bumpy and rough and that cobra roll is terrible but the amount of fun you get on in it makes up for it. can proudly say that its the first ride ive ever gotten on that i wasn’t scared shitless on the first time.

    Great ride and one of the first B&M inverts I rode as a kid. Unfortunately, it just hasn't aged as well as some of the others like Talon, Great Bearm Montu and even Batman. The low curves over the snowy ravine are still my favorite part. The cool thing about Alpengeist is unlike most inverts it isn't compact, similar to Great Bear.

    Busch gardens was an incredible amusement park. My brother and I had such a good time there the first day that we begged our parents to let us go back. Second day it poured down rain after the first hour so that was pretty lame. We spent a few hours with the Clydesdales because that was the lease crowded spot..

      @@bandmfanboy it wouldn’t be like a stomach drop because you’re liking dangling

    • @bandmfanboy
      @bandmfanboy 3 года назад

      @Mila Roman I would say, not dangling, but rather under the track. The stomach dropping sensation is caused by airtime, when riders feel negative vertical G forces. This is extremely hard to feel on Alpengeist because of its trains with the over the shoulder restraints. I meant that there are drops on the coaster. The original commenter said that it has “no drops”.
