I would have expected you to talk about Trump's godlessness. Anyone who' has been shot doesn't grandstand, showboat and pump their fist, as of to say, " Ahah, you missed me."
When you mention a political candidate and brag about resilience, you tell your congregation who to vote for. That makes you a politician and not a pastor. All of the black people you attacked and yet you speak about Trump as though he was the resurrected Messiah.

Politics is essentially the governing and management of civil society and laws. At the basis of society and laws are Moral principles and Moral Foundation. People pass and reject laws based upon morality as it all has a moral base. The Pastor is supposed to see what is happening in today’s time and speak to those issues from the Word. The Bible speaks about all these things….Abortion, Crime, etc. The Pastor is supposed to speak on the moral issues, which political issues are ultimately moral issues.
Do not be a Christian who believes they are to be seperate.

While winning souls for Christ is our primary objective, there are things that need to be said regarding what's going on currently. Turning away from our wicked lifestyles is paramount if God wants to hear our pleas and cries (2 Chronicles 7:14). And when it comes to whatever political leader you are voting for, you have to do your research on that said candidate, see what they stand for, and by all means, go by your conscience when you vote. The sad part is many churches, particularly the Black church, have been blindly supporting politicians and allow them to speak in their pulpits. The issue at hand is the typical Black church has been preaching Black Liberation and social justice RATHER than the genuine Word of God.
