Location: "Gem World"
Date: Time is just an elusive concept at this point..
Today marks a momentous occasion, for I have come across the first known survivor of the Gem species. Until now, my only companions in this world have been a human named Connie and her trusty companion, a pink lion simply known as Lion. Though I had a limited understanding of the Gems and their nature, I was eager to learn more from this new survivor, Peridot.
Peridot proved to be a veritable font of knowledge about the Gems and this world. She explained to me the nature of the corrupted Gems, revealing that they were not as formidable as I had feared. Their bodies were simply representations of light, and the true physical form of a Gem was their gemstone. Peridot told me that a Gem could be "poofed" by severely damaging their light, forcing them to retreat into their gemstone, rendering them harmless.
With newfound understanding, Peridot showed me a map of the world, which she informed me was comprised of multiple planets. The most significant of these were Earth and Homeworld, with our current location being on Earth. Together, we plotted a course to search for more survivors.
However, our plans were disrupted by the sudden appearance of a corrupted Gem, identified as Lapis. This dangerous entity had the ability to manipulate and control darkness in it's liquid state. Despite the peril posed by Lapis, I was able to poof her with my sword, assisted by Peridot's distraction.
The aftermath of the encounter was a somber one, as Peridot was left in tears at the loss of her friend. The darkness of this world continues to cast a shadow over everything and everyone, and I fear that this is only the beginning of the hardships I will face.
My journey continues, in search of more survivors, be they human, Gem, or other species. This world may be dangerous, but I must press on, despite my limited understanding of it. I hold onto hope that one day, I will return to a world free of the darkness that plagues this place.

As a lapis and peridot fan / hardcore lapidot shipper I absolutely love this the vocals of peridot and lapis are great the beginning animation is great really gives me jakenutron vibes also I think the beginning takes place in the moon base from the episode it could have been great and depicts peri and pibby scoping out the galaxy for a safe place to reside
Just saying Peridot is canonically aroace as confirmed by Rebecca Sugar, so shipping her romantically with anyone isn’t really the best. But I can agree on being a huge fan of both characters
I think in the opening scene peridot and pibby were trying to find a safe place to hunker down, but their planning was interrupted by a corrupted lapis. Now they must face a twisted husk of what was once a gem.

@@gustavolopes2330 i mean probably but it would be kinda hard since she'd try to corrupt you. Also since she can control water I think she can control the liquid corruption too making it harder to poof her

A lapis would be very dangerous when corrupted because they can throw the darkness
