I am glad to see you uploading your beautiful paintings again. I've been watching your work since you started, & I love seeing the growth in your technique, style, and skills! Have you ever been curious about wetting both sides of the paper, placing it on the table without utilizing tape? I've yet to try this myself but am looking forward to it. Supposedly, your piece stays wet far longer that way. Keep up the excellent work, my friend! P.S. I always love watching you capture shadows.
Personally, I paint that way most of the time (wet both sides). It's great if you're not stretching your paper. Taped down, unstretched paper exoands with nowhere for the loose fibers to go but up, which gives you the peaks and valleys for moisture to pool. Now, if I'm painting around (and hence wetting around) an object, this doesn't work as well. It really works best for a a prima painting (imo). I hope you'll try it and see how it works for you :)
Your comments really help me a lot. We ask for your continued support and interest. I will work hard to make a video Thank you so much for watching. Have a happy and nice day.
