@Michael Moretti Ah, there are so many things I want to say in response to your comment. So first off, there is no set way anyone should act at any age. Saying otherwise is being a complete and total idiot. Anyone can act however they want at any age. Plus people mature at different rates...I'm tired of people acting like you suddenly completely change on your 18th birthday or some crap like that. News flash folks, that's not true! And you don't know if everyone who liked her comment is a woman, there are many guys that watch and even look up to Lorelai even if you don't want to believe it. So there very well could've been more guys to like it.
Annnnnnd it actually does make sense to look up to her. I don't look up to her myself, but she built up her life from nothing to something at 16 so I understand why someone would. She was a maid, ran the inn in which she worked at , and eventually bought/started her own inn. Quite frankly she's one of the better people to look up to. Being self-absorbed or having ADHD shouldn't be a reason not to look up to someone because that doesn't reflect their personality and hard-workingness...not a word but I don't care. Lastly, why even bother bringing up politics? It has nothing to do with the topic and is honestly annoying.

Funny at the time but on review it was the first of many reasons why Rory couldn't communicate whenever something actually important happens, despite the superficially transparent bond between mother and daughter.

I recently pulled the "wind beneath my wings" gag on one of my friends. She pulled me over after a similar situation at a party (a fight broke out over her relationships between two guys), and I actually ended up singing that to her after we got out of there without the cops arriving. (Seriously, was a terrifying situation, but two of my guy friends ended up physically restraining one of the guys and I grabbed her and put her into a cab as well.)
