Originally the name is Viti. The British empire tried to colonize it (1874-1970) but couldn't. They didn't have their way i.e. exploit and pillage the resources. But we suffered our share of hurt, damages, systematic displacement, archaic redundabt legislations are still in place. There is way more to Viti then offered by the tourism & hospitality industry. Viti has no poisonous reptiles or predatory animals. Enjoy!
