Loved the Nikki/viki stuff. Great how Nikki wanted to save tina & took over to give viki the fearlessness & drive to get out of the chair & walk. It wasn't easy but Nikki did it. " get off ur butt & kick that creep out " was a great line. Viki goes to her alters at this time it was only Nikki but she gave her the chance to walk.
FINALLY the end of Johnny Dee! Ironic how he ordered the hit on Viki, and it was Niki who took him out! Bravura performance by Erika, of course!! But honorable mention to Bad Girl Gabby! Fi had me cracking up trying to disguise her voice on the phone when she was calling the police! ROTFL!

Pretty brilliant with Erika playing post stroke Niki/Viki and seamlessly involving Gabrielle. This was pretty suspenseful and a real bright spot at the beginning (or middle) of a pretty bad time on this show...
This was a great great episode referenced for so many years. U got Nikki Johnny dee & his death ( leading to ramifications of Carlo & his vengeance towards viki for jd's death) tina finally being protected by viki/Nikki & Gabrielle thrown into the mix. Gabrielle at least showed her humanity towards tina making sure she was alive & calling 911 even though a lot of Tina's problems were amped up by Gabrielle for her agenda This was one of my faves & voted a top es episode for her 40th anniversary on oltl. Gotta say it was a mistake to kill off jd & make him go totally pycho & as glad as I am that baby Sarah was cords oh the potential if it was Carlos grand baby.

I am loving Erika's haircut in this. She always wore short to medium in the 70's on. But this is my favorite cut.
Yes! This is easily a top 10 all time episode w/ repercussions for years! Johnny dee getting it from Nikki/viki. Carlo wanted revenge for this many years later. Gabrielle painted herself into such a corner & gets hers sadly. All of this for what? She played w/ fire using tina & she was the one who wound up beholden to Carlo & not trusted by the lord/buke hybrid. After the trial she seemed to learn her lesson about how lying & scheming gets u nowhere & in her case prison! I don't get why she didn't just call the cops as herself! She even had Tina's tape showing Nikki killed Johnny in self defense of tina. Do I really don't get it at all. In the end tina has her 2 kids cord & fans know where Gabrielle ends up. Plus where did all the money go. The 25k she embezzled the 10k on the 2nd mortgage ( if max still owned the place then why didn't he know about it ? ) I'm just glad Nikki saved tina. Later rewrites had her as a total tramp who hated vikis family & even later a homicidal maniac. This is my fave version of Nikki smith. Vikis motivator & protector of her sister.
Numax finally said something ita about " sleeping w/ Johnny dee to protect you was hardly selfish " hello cord wake up ! Does he really think tina wants Johnny?? He doesn't get it that it's his doing why tina is terrified to tell him anything. All he does is judge her make her feel ashamed of herself & she even told viki she wishes not to be alive anymore. If cord wasn't so rigid judgemental & gives mixed messages like crazy maybe tina could trust him. Thankfully when she got therapy years later she left town where she was being judged & shamed constantly by her own family & the cult that's llainview the lord/buke hybrids
It's sad b/c it's her " master plan with Asa " vs cashing it in & being human. Yes she calls for help for Johnny & checks on tina. In this moment if she called 911 told the truth she'd be happily on the sidelines watching hessar & the bukes dueling it out. On the tape everything is there Johnny admitting to his father's drug cartel in S.A ( why Carlo later keeps scaring Gabs about her dad b/c that's where he was dealing his drugs & Carlo knew that very well ) she could have given that tape to the police been a hero & walked away. Instead she got in deeper stealing more money to from andy & the bar to erase this tape which max finds out leading to her seducing Tony so he keeps quiet about her next lie that he goes along w/ knowing Carlo had informants everywhere who tell him she has this tape that she demands $$ from Asa who warns her it's only rope to get her so she gets in the crosshairs of fraud everywhere Carlo paying some guy to record her as she makes out w/ Tony. That's where Carlo had her & she had him. She had the tape which he wanted for the real truth on Johnny's death which was all legal as viki did it as self defense for tina as Nikki. Basically this is ground zero for gabs b/c it gets Carlo w/ rage & revenge & way more power all over her. She should have started telling the truth here.
