For anyone looking to have your own rainbow bobby pins, just paint them with nail polish! Make sure to paint the straight side (which is the side that shows). Found an easy way to keep them still while painting is to slide them onto the edge of a paper plate or cardboard. :)

Cute advice: make a plush case for the L-square ruler that makes it look like a pink scythe sticking out from your backpack... or you know... maybe something less menacing??? either way a plush case will protect people from being attacked by it.

My favorite recycled containers for small sewing notions are metal mint tins (both the regular and mini size Altoids tins are great). I love them for holding needles and stuff. I like to place a magnet inside them, too, so pins and needles will stick in one place.

Love this! I’m a seamstress in training and am currently in school right now so it’s really interesting to see what other counties want you to use in school and yes, there is so much stuff you never knew you needed and now you can’t live without it
i'm so eggcited for more designer diaries shenanigans!! ive started getting real super-dee-duper into designing funky cosplays and it fulfills some deep desire of my heart to see rainbow themed sewing stuff. You could always make cute padded covers for the ends of your long rulers that stick out of your bag! That's what I did back in college. Also if you need to carry large sketch pads anyway, you can store long rulers in a large portfolio with the sketch pads (maybe not the plastic ones b/c I'd worry about breakage).

I love to sew and refashion and create beautiful things from fabric. I am now teaching fashion history. Even though I have never been to fashion school I am a total geek for all the tools you have. I too have many of them. I loved my square ruler. It does everything. I can't wait to see your beautiful rainbow creations.
