I was lucky enough to attend this event. It was a fantastic comp from beginning to end. The standing ovation BEFORE the music had ended was unprecedented, but totally deserved. Will there ever be another gathering of such fantastic dancers on one dance floor?
Agreed. 213 is Riccardo Cocchi & Yulia Zagoruychenko. They dance fabulously! My sister takes coaching lessons from them when they're in town. Very nice people, humble and extremely dedicated to perfecting their dances and teaching/helping others too. :)
I so, so wish Slavik had won Blackpool just once in his life. In my estimation, he was (all things considered) the finest male Latin dancer of all time, with the possible exception of B Watson.

I love it when they work sugar pushes into jive. Franco looks so unruffled, and Melia looks so happy. Karen HIlton's dress is legendary.

Blackpool is individual dances. R & Y won the jive.
Definitely, Riccardo and Ylia far better than all the others. Michael and Joanna surprisingly VERY BAD.
Slavik is better
I prefer Slavik and Anna. Slavik for sure to Riccardo, and Anna has such feminine power that Julia looks overly refined and, well, boring next to her.
