Club Lunch - Making History: The Hong Kong Philharmonic Orchestra

The Hong Kong Philharmonic Orchestra (HK Phil) has become one of the leading orchestras in Asia Pacific and the world. The HK Phil made history by becoming the first orchestra in Asia to receive the prestigious UK classical music magazine Gramophone's 2019 Orchestra of the Year Award.
Professionalised in 1974, the orchestra is approaching its 50th anniversary in the 2023/24 Season, a significant milestone. To celebrate the golden jubilee, HK Phil performs 34 mainstage programmes featuring internationally acclaimed musicians. Additionally, the orchestra will embark on global tours, encompassing more than 18 cities across the world.
