But really, it's a smart choice that spans his tastes -- jazzy, sultry, r&b -- and the video (a Narcissus tale) was so gorge, retro, a bit weird. On brand. And your JT/2020 observation was on point. Cosign what most of y'all saying: "Can't Get You" is the one. I want the whole story on how that started with Babyface and ended up with Jamal. Demo vs. final production. And whomever decided to keep the female bgv's up in the mix needs a raise. Put an english version out of THAT. Can see that song in concert for his usual fans, but also a nice intro to new ones in a venue like the Blue Note, or Tiny Desk. This is nuts of me to say (and probably influenced by other events) but if someday he decided to go solo* and stay in a jazzy r&b lane I'd be all for it. *but stay in DoJaeJung lol
