    Also what I do is track mode with full traction control off/advanced also off with the paddle shifter. Break boost at around 1.7k-2k rpms. 1st gear to 5.5k, hit second and go to redline.

    My 2017 Ecoboost Base is a little hurky jerky in Sport mode and doesn't shift smoothly. For that reason, I mainly use "Drive" and primarily use sport mode for merging onto the highway or overtaking. If I wasn't selling the car and going on vacation to Thailand I would definitely be installing the Ford Performance tune or Cobb tune. I have heard you can smooth out the shifting VS a stock ecoboost from the factory.

    • @daily_driven
      @daily_driven  2 года назад +1

      Yeah Sport definitely makes the care more Jerky that’s for sure! But it does seem smoother with the Pro tune. I didn’t do the transmission tune so not sure why it feels smoother lol

    Nice time! I noticed too that with drag strip mode, t/c off, and brake torque to 1500-2000rpm is the best way to do 0-60s when I had my ecoboost. I think my fastest with PD tune was 4.9 on stock 18" all seasons.

      @@marcusmitchell1149 with all due respect it sounds like you have some work to do. But I’m excited to see you reach the high 5s or low 6s. It certainly sounds more fun than mashing the gas and anticipating a low number. Good luck in your 0-60 adventures my friend.

    First of great vids!!! My question is this. I have a 2017 ecoboost premium with the performance pack. My 0-60 stock are 5-5.1 seconds. Is there a difference in our motors? I know mine on paper says 330hp stock. You have upgrades and a tune and are getting the same numbers as mine stock. Now I’ve just put in a DNA Motoring race intercooler, Airaid fully enclosed CAI, C&L BOV for that psssshhh. I’ve put in NGK plugs, 1 step colder and MSD coil packs. Muffler delete. Now I know most of my mods just help the car breath and not so much for power gain. More like maintain your power. Next week I should have ordered my Cobb access port v3, hot/cold charge pipes, down pipe and 70mm Ford performance throttle body. Hoping to get the max gains from a tune that the stock block can handle which I believe is 500hp and 515ft-lbs of torque.

    • @daily_driven
      @daily_driven  2 года назад

      Thanks man! Cool! Have fun with the build!Same engine as yours but transmission wise obviously 10 speed vs 6 speed if your auto. I would definitely recommend pd tuning once your ready! If your shooting for 500 whp then your going to want to go built short block with an Nx2 turbo. 400 whp is probably as much as your want to give the Stock block.

    • @marcusmitchell1149
      @marcusmitchell1149 2 года назад

      500 plus hp on a stock block is a excellent recipe for ecoboom. I know from experience. I'm full bolt on plus 93 tune from ryan. High 300's is more realistic but still pushing it on the stock block. The 2.3 block is trash. Most people who go for crazy numbers go build block. The 2.0 fusion block is what people build on and will reach 500 hp with supported mods and upgraded turbo in the ecoboost.

  • @dumbeat
    @dumbeat Год назад

    Your not doing much until you drop in an NX2 or other larger Turbo im afraid. No offense and no disrespect. Just thought id mention that. There is always where to go- Thats the fun.

      I have a 16 EcoBoost pre ium auto. 3.31 gears and 18 inch stock tires. Have mostly stock with drop in AEF dry filter with partial grill cut out for max air intake.
      Resonator delete and NXT axle back muflers for more less exhaust restriction. I use paddle shifters and 1700 rpm brake lock. I run 93 octane and my 0-60 runs are 5.2 to 5.5. Traction off and S+. I give 5.0 s fits 0-60

    Since you didn’t show the run it was downhill I guarantee haha.. these ecoboom cars are soo slow lol.. and sound terrible what’s the point of them? Only way to make them fast is spend $15000 on a fully built motor and aftermarket turbo..

      I think you need to do more research on this platform before saying these “Ecoboom” cars are slow. They definitely are not. Love my e30 tune on the car now. And a fully build motor and bigger turbo are not 15k 🙄

      @@daily_driven I don’t mean to sound like a hater, I work at a track in a northern state and see hundreds of people get hugely disappointed when they run 14-14.5 stock and fbo they are still 12-5-13ish. When stock GT runs 12-12.5 and with just e85 tune they are 11.5-12 easy. Ecoboost is not a realible engine for the mustang when you try to get where the GT’s with fbo go. That’s why I said ecoboom. It is proven every year multiple times and on RUclips that the motor is good for about 500 crank power or about 420ish to the wheels. After that you are flirting with danger. Good luck. Have fun.

      @@xGR1MxREAPERx Hey man honestly I’m not trying to make the most power or put down the fastest time. I’m just having some fun with this platform. So far I’m content with the power on the E30 file but if that changes I agree with you, the blocks are not very reliable over 400whp and a GT would be a better option. I may go that route next!

    You added a little bit of power but you added a ton of weight.. and even worse it’s rotating weight.. going to a 20” wheel is a horrible idea.. less sidewalk on tire to flex on launching and a ton more weight then an 18/19.
