I bought this game after watching the first episode of the Let's Play you did with Pushing Up Roses. I've never played a point and click adventure game 'til this one, and I'm so glad I tried it out. This is one of the most unique and charming games I've ever played.
Considering the player character and subject matter, Dropsy could've so easily been a full-blown dark comedy, but it wouldn't have left as much of an impact if it was. Even the creator himself admitted this in an interview with Playboy for their "Games for Adults" column, as it initially was supposed to be one, until he gradually grew as a person and instead decided to send a more-or-less positive message with it.
I really dig how the developers decided to not include text in the game, and rather show emotions and plot points through animations, sound and various icons. So cool to see people experiment with different gameplay experiences. That, and you know... They also don't have to translate the game for an international release. Pros all the way! This game is an absolute gem :D

I played this game as soon as it came out, the trailer video totally sold me. The soundtrack is really nice as you mentioned and also the color palette is beautiful. When Dropsy was sad, I was sad, but when Dropsy was happy I was also happy. I really enjoyed this game and I can't seem to get over it, I always find myself trying to find similar games to this one on Steam but nothing compares to Dropsy :c

The sound is really weird in this video: there's a tinny echo of your voice somewhere behind my left ear. Other than that I'm really happy that you gave Dropsy some attention - definitely the adventure of the year in my book.
I loved playing as a creepy clown trying to make people happy. The symbol only system was great too. It gave a surprisingly emotional narrative sometimes. My only quibble is the ending is a bit abrupt. I was still reeling from what had happened to the animals at the circus.

This is way off topic but I'm really curious, what do you think of the No One Lives Forever games? I just started playing them this week for the first time after seeing reviews for them by one of my favorite YTers and I'm really wondering why these games aren't typically mentioned among the greats in the classic FPS genre. I really feel like these games are absolute gems, I'm having a blast with them.
There is this piece of software which was a huge assortment of screensavers, varying from the flying toasters to a rats race to this blob thingy... I think some of them were interactive if memory serves me right... anyway, I was wondering if you know what I'm talking about and if you've ever considered doing a quick review of it... I can't be the only one who spent a lot of time on what was considered entertainment, and was... you know... not? Kinda like the "break your desktop" thing... which was actually more entertaining. Wow they did a really good job at making this look retro, for a moment I was like, what year did this come out? then some things just looked too clean and then I realized it's just the style, looks like a cool game.
A suprising feel good and warm game, although I feel the ending was a bit disappointing unless I suspect there might be a hidden ending if getting 100% hugs, which I didn't get last time with the Duke Nukem church person.

Sable Rain I think I didn't "like" the ending because of **Spoilers in case other who haven't played** Some unanswered question like the Sunglasses CEO guy where if you visit the worn down trailer, you see a photo of a childhood picture of the CEO with a brother or something. Also did Dropsy die or did he transcended to space and returned home as a king? Also did his animal friend return to normal? Anyways it feels like the CEO got away with his evil deeds somehow. But otherwise this game sure gave me alot of smile moment. I was playing Stasis simultaneously with Dropsy, but managed to finish Stasis before Dropsy. The ending in Stasis really depressed me somehow, at least Dropsy was a bit more cheerful.

It put me in such a relaxed mood that I didn't analyze the story very much. The ending was also a revelation to me, since I hadn't suspected it. Sorry but I had a question, and I couldn't find the answer on the internets but I know you will have the answer: I am trying to hook up an old floppy drive to a modern motherboard but I don't know how. I thought the floppy drive used IDE so I got an IDE to SATA adapter, only to learn that the floppy drive uses some other connection. What do I do???
I'm not aware of a way if your motherboard doesn't have a floppy disk controller built-in. Check to see if it does, there may be a header on the board for that! If not, you can use USB options. There are 3.5" USB floppy drives out there that work great. If you're looking to hook up a 5.25" floppy drive, I'm not aware of an easy way to do so. There was an expensive USB controller for them, but I don't think they're made anymore. Otherwise, you can use something like the Kryoflux to read and write 5.25" floppies to images, though it won't let you access it as a normal drive.
+Lazy Game Reviews I saw a lot of USB floppy drives on ebay and amazon but they are apparently, external? I did not see any internal ones. Half the reason I was so insistent on this was the aesthetic appeal so I defo want an internal. I hope you understand. :)

People have a habit of making stories and media about the things they don't like or fear, whether it makes them feel better about those things I dunno...but they do it.
I wonder if this game is allegory for the treatment of people with Down Syndrome and how people with Down'd view the world. I've had the privilege of knowing many people with Down's and they (for the most part) very loving people who want nothing other than to bring happiness to others. Sadly people can be cruel and treat people with Down's poorly because they look different, or because they are an easy target and often will take the abuse.
I like that you're having to go around, and do nice things for people, but damn it man I wish I did not hate clowns so damn much. When I see them I just want to punch them in the face. I seriously blame Stephen King's miniseries IT, as that thing was just messed up on all kinds of levels when I saw it as a kid.

I think there is an error in GoG. Both the base game and "Warm Damp Hug" edition costs the same amount whereas the latter is suppose to cost more.
