The various trains look different nowadays, not just the seat cushions look but pretty much everything. How cool that the Metropolitan train you were on has an accordion pleated part that looks like a beam-me-up portal but seems like it's really to make the cars longer.
Yes those are the differences between old and new trains, he went from two "Deep level tube lines" onto the "sub-surface lines" the accordion part you're referring to wil appear too on the deeper lines as an upgrade in capacity in the near future with walk-trough carriages to replace the 50 year old trains (by then) on the piccadilly.
"The H&C line is partially closed between Hammersmith & Barking." ...so, it's closed? XD wonder why it couldn't have just included that in the W&C line closed announcement lol... I mean I'm also just wondering, there could be a reason, I'm just not sure as I'm not from London (unfortunately. Gosh I miss London)
I do like your videos of going to tube stations with a camera mounted on you. Whilst you are filming and walking at the same time. Could you do more of these if you could. I really do like your content. Plus I think that Transport for London should replace the 1972 Stock on the Piccadilly Line, 1973 Stock on the Bakerloo Line and 1992 Stock on the Central and Waterloo & City Lines with new tube stocks. en.wikipedia.org/wiki/London_Underground_1972_Stock en.wikipedia.org/wiki/London_Underground_1973_Stock en.wikipedia.org/wiki/London_Underground_1992_Stock en.wikipedia.org/wiki/New_Tube_for_London

“partially”, I’m guessing a number of stations were closed with the rest open between the whole line, and listing all of them would take too long

That’s fine by you I don’t want them to be replaced but oh well it’s fine
The 1992 and 1972 are really starting to show their age but the 1973 stock could go a few years more
