I enjoy wearing my field coat from Spier & Mackay in light grey. I saw a review a while back about this coat. The draw string is not meant to be tied. The leather tabs at each end of the string are for holding the draw string in place. It actually works. After pulling the string snug enough to your liking for the desired fit, pull the string from the inside, or the other side from the knot through the leather tab, creating a loop, all the way to where the string comes out of the coat. The string then hangs out of the way. This way there will be no bulge from the knot when buttoned up. Please make sure you pull the string the same amount on each side or the back of the coat will look twisted. My leather tabs were a little snug and it took some effort. I wish I could load pictures and I hope my explanation makes sense. It will look as though you have two loops hanging inside your jacket. Thanks for another great video. Maybe you could make video on how the tabs work?
Interesting. I didn't know there was a proper way to tie the drawstrings. I am not sure I understand what you are describing, but I would like to know. Send me a DM on Instagram @thehulseystyle
@@Fitzpatrick306 You're welcome! I am glad that my description helped. I have to credit Gentlemen Scholars Cub for showing this during a video presentation of this jacket. Enjoy!
Yeah this looks sooooooo goood! I just got a custom VBC suit supply in wool flannel in green so I’m going to think about getting one of these in brown! It looks fantastic and great video! They have the best prices compared to brands like drakes. I want to snatch up at least two!
Thank you! I was considering getting a second one, but the flight jackets they are going to release look incredible. I think I'll snatch one of those instead!
Hey Gary my brother. I forgot to comment but i ordered the Brown Shetland and the Cinnamon Corduroy Field Jackets. They fit perfectly and i LOVE them only downside i live in Texas 😅. But i do find some weather times to wear them as well as my other coats and jackets so it works out. They will last me a long time due to more infrequent wear but cost per wear is still good because I rush to wear them. Many blessings😊

Thanks Arthur! I was tying it as well but your method works brilliantly!
I was just ogling this exact coat the other day! I’ve got my fingers crossed that my wife will come through for Christmas.
I am praying for you! haha
Can you do a video on the difference between a flannel fabric trouser vs a 100% wool trousers
