i was just thinking man he makes it look easy, but maybe relaxing is the best way to put it. cuz my heart rate definitely starts going up in last 15 seconds haha
This speedrun is sooo entertaining and one can learn from it a lot. You have many different strategies and your comments makes it really interesting to follow!
I almost never commented on RUclips. But now I have to. This is the best Eric's bullet speedrun EVER! He kills every opponent cold-bloodedly and he makes it very very entertaining. I love you Eric! Please keep making this kinda video.
Eric “it’s move 4, I have the bishop pair this game is practically over” Me “I’m up 19 points of material and I’m about to win and proceed to get back rank mated” RIP.
Yo eric, did you know from an early age that you'd be one of the best in the world? Were you exceptionally good right from the get go? Or did you just love the game and then it came naturally from the passion? Curious to know how chess was for you when you first started and how old you were.
Actually he did not, not at all in fact. He started quite late and was not that good in the beginning, probably around ~1200 Elo if I remember correctly. He became really good through a lot of hard work, not necessarily because of exceptional talent. Chess was and probably is like an addiction for him, that’s where he gets the motivation to work even harder. At least that’s what he said in an interview quite recently. Hope that helps :)
Because he can checkmate by moving a pawn, with a discovered checkmate using a bishop, rook or queen. It's not only used when the pawn checks the king.
22:26 - a spicy "get em out of here" (GEOH) from Eric, a joyful cry but with an enigmatic undertone, very different to Aman's dismissive GEOHs
What perfect timing just finished watching the 1600 video
Eric makes bullet seem so relaxing

You know you're about to lose when Hanson says "Check" "Check" !

32:20 holy hell that's a smothered, fork, pin checkmate!

Nasty checkmates :)
It's favorable to win the exchange and it's favorable to sac the exchange
why is Eric calling those pawn checkmates? one @41:58 and one at @33:25
Because he can checkmate by moving a pawn, with a discovered checkmate using a bishop, rook or queen. It's not only used when the pawn checks the king.
I guess you achieve checkmate by moving a pawn, pawn checkmate
What is the song in the intro??
30:06 they had Nxf7 there, after Rd5
